be honest /out/, when was the last time you went outside?
>random picture, no label, no explanationAt least try to sell it a little. I went on x trail, it was y long, the trail condition was z. etc.
>>2130454I hiked from the kankamangus highway to east pond, then camped at little east pond and camped. After that I headed back to the car. Approx 12 miles total. Very nice, would recommend.
>conifers as far as they eye can see
>>2130454I went camping overnight on an island on a lake mid may and found a bunch of these. So like three weeks ago i guess.
>>2130457you probably have nothing to contribute. larper.
>>2130454I’m out right now. It’s about 2000 degrees outside
>>2130454Yea but I only get called a larper and a faggot because I car camp some of time.
>>2130669That looks like nc anon
I’m in the high sierra right now and haven’t seen a soul the past 11 miles today. where are you /out/?
>>2130454About 2 hours ago to a forest. 2 minutes ago if you count me going outside to give my chickens water.
>>2130702It might look like it but it’s not. This is conifer country, baby.
Went up crags today
>>2130817Is that Scotland?
>>2130457>At least try to sell it a little. I went on x trail, it was y long, the trail condition was z. Okay sure>West virginia, secret local trail through hemlock conifer country>12 miles long>Trail condition: empty and free of DC/Maryland/Virginia beltway urbanite cityidiots>>2130651>tfw ALL the appalachia pics in this thread are of conifer countryfeels good to be in an appalachia conifer appreciation thread>>2130726based and coniferpilled
>>2130454Yesterday but it was nothing special, I just climbed up my local creek as far as my rubber boots could take me. I need to get a pair of waders, I want to go up until I reach the origin
>>2130454Cute nature walk, anon. Maybe someday you'll graduate to real outdoor adventures.
>>2130947Yes please! Oh snow, I shall meet ye again before too long!
Went out today. Still lots of snow at high elevations, so I lost the trail after a while. I wandered a little bit more off trail then went back down. It snowed on me a little bit, which I didn't expect. I dressed for a summer hike. Was just a nice easy day of out exploration since I was planning to drink beer and BBQ when I got home, which I have now done.
>>2130964I had to go way up to get to the snow. It's almost all gone, I didn't even need to get the spikes out. But yes, it was nice.
Couple days ago. Was unexpectedly hot but still fun.
This weekend (guess where?)
>this evening>with friends>immediately remember mongolian cartoon image board>immediately remember this thread>take pic
>>2131125I have that same pack, anon. It's a good pack
>>2130454Cheers from Hoodie.
On my way home from the city center of my country’s capital city. It’s better than nothing
>>2131175Excellent day pack (:>>2131178Based slav shovelOver night trip or just the day ?
Went fishing today
>>2131000>El DoradoI can smell the warm bark... Heaven
>>2130454I haven't been outdoors in 17 months unless you count opening the door for doordash deliveries.
>>2130454I went to Big Bear Lake on Saturday with some frens, did a couple light hikes to get back into shape, then hung out at the beach with my beans and bros, paddled around the lake. Very enjoyable.
>>2131272That's my ass, bro- stop
>>2131125Based mil surp larper
>>2130454posting a picture from the other thread. Went camping on the Missouri River this weekend and fished all weekend. Was peak comfy in my hammock aside from the masses of normies using the boat ramp and the Union Pacific trains rolling by every once in a while.
>>2130454I haven't gone /out/ in a long time but next time I go /out/ I won't go back /in/ ever again.
>>2130454is that Tyler State Park?
>>2130454Yesterday i slept in the forest with my friends
>>2130454>when was the last time you went outside?yesterday
>>2130454>tfw just found the municipal trails near my house lead to this little postage stamp forest preserve3 mile dog walks through the woods every day my man, it's not really out but it's far enough that you can't see or hear houses or traffic so it's good enough for me.
>>2131577Shit like that is great. Found a group of trails in this area that's 6000 acres of forested land (with thousands upon thousands more surrounding it) but there is only enough room for like 20 cars to park there, the parking spot is well hidden that I never see more than 5 cars there. Go camping there a lot of times.
>>2131536>hemlocks and rhododendron>tyler state parklolno
>>2130454Yesterday. Soon as I finish my coffee I'll be going outside again.
I looked out the window the other day. For an ENTIRE 12 seconds
I'm pretty sure this whole board is just crippled people wishing they could go outside
>>2132670>I'm pretty sure this whole board is just crippled people wishing they could go outsideno, people on /out/ used to go outsidesince COVID though we've jumped up from 500 posts a day to 1200 posts a day. And those additional 700 posts are from /tv/, /v/, and /pol/fags treating /out/ like it's another shitposting board
>>2132676I'm pretty sure there's one very autistic NEET who trolls /out/ as his full time job. The guy who screams LARP at everyone, in every thread.
>>2130454I was chasing my boys around the neighborhood on their Power Wheels truck a couple hours ago.
>>2131197It was blisteringly hot when I went with no wind lol, but despite that it was still gorgeous. I always make an effort to go multiple times a year.
>>2130454I haven't go out since wuhan plague started. But I am going out this weekend! Really excited about that
I've left my house once in the last 3 days.Ride my moto about 200m down the street to buy beer.
>>2132691>>2133539its significantly worse than you think
Got maybe a three quarters of a mile upstream before he wanted me to carry him, it was at a snails pace the whole way but we had nothing but time. He reminds me to slow down and really appreciate the small scale a lot.. being his father is the most rewarding feeling I will ever experience.
climbed a mountain a spotted a birb
>>2133663Did you feed it? That looks like one of those kind that will land on our hand and eat from your palm.
>>2133647based and dadpilled, but I would never post pictures of my kids here
>>2134803Probably not a bad call
>>2134803/out/ isn't the same as the rest of 4chan anonmost people here (at least before the 2020 influx of corona tourists) are well adjusted and go outdoors
>>2134803I'm careful of posting anything particularly identifying like faces/ places, etc... they're vague enough I think but I appreciate the concern.
>>2130454I climbed Valencia peak today with a frenIt's not a long or difficult hike, but we had a fun conversation and a nice viewpic from alltrails, not mine
>>2130454about a week ago, hiked about 2 miles up a thousand feet to these waterfalls past a bunch of other waterfalls. Not a known tourist trail so we only saw 3 people the entire time.
>>2134863/youre posting their bodies/exposed skin for sickos to fap to, fuckin weirdo probably getting off sharing them
>>2130454Went camping last weekend
>>2135401Post proof or it's a LARP
>>2133539Tell me about it! I made a trip report/AMA thread, because there seem to be many people new to the /out/doors, so I wanted to give them a thread to ask questions to someone who actually goes /out/. The vinegaroons and /in/cels immediately came crawling out of the woodwork. Guess they were just upset they didn't get to call OP a larper.
Went bunny shooting last weekend. When i got a bunny, an owl was watching nearby. This weekend going deer hunting. Will update if I get anything or not.
Yesterday, explored around what used to be an old country estate for about two hours, here's some pics.
>>2135571I wondered if trees like this that have been hit by lightning are dead or not?
>>2133539Is that not just the DC deciduous homo
About two weeks ago, went with a friend to hunt for mines. Found one but the only accessable entrance wasn't so accessable anymore.
Just this past weekend.
>>2135600That’s neat. I wonder how long it would take to clear out the debris, but then again it might not be safe to do so.
Here I am about 5 min away from the parking place. Still counts, right?
>>2135558Are you a poaching nigger
>>2135610The entire shaft behind the entrance is collapsed too. Sucks because someone another mine bro was there a month prior and said it was still open, but it looked sketch. Guess he was right
Earlier this week on Mt. Katahdin
>>2135711You better have took cathedral then over the knife edge pussy
>>2135771Yeah that's actually exactly the path I did. When were you up there?
random creek madness
>>2135645No. The bunnies were shot on private land that my friend owns, and I am going to balloted public land for the deer today. It cost about 15 dollars. I hate poachers. Makes things difficult and unsafe for everyone. Will be still hunting around in some native New Zealand bush. Not used to hunting in winter though so my clothing will be tested.
>>2135614yes it count's. Different experience though when you still have cell connection and can still beat it to porn on your phone.
>>2135389Anon I think you have autism, you think that sickos can't do the exact same thing on plebbit or some other social media site if I decided to post there instead of here?
>>2130454Went camping about a month and half ago for my birthday. I’ve been meaning to go snorkeling since then but I haven’t gotten around to it due to a combination or forgetfulness and laziness.
>>2135771Australians? In my /out/?
>>2135834Last September or October was the last time I was there. It was either a week before or after peak leaf peeping season so I was annoyed
I went outside to clear rocks out of my garden plot for about 20 minutes earlier and it was too hot so I went inside. Summer is beautiful but fuck humidity and heat.
>>2130691You do you bro who are those people anyway?
Doing a 5 day trip to NC tomorrow,,, leaving tomorrow for the north side of Mt Mitchell. Have a bunch of stuff planned but any recommendations on fishing/backpacking spot are welcome.
Im >>2135558 and back from a hunt out in the fucking rain in the hills. But rewarded with a small melanistic fallow deer (which was a nightmare to lug out despite the small size).
>>2136142My muscles end up like very sore jello from just two days of hiking. How does your body feel from 5 day + journeys?
>>2136142>leaving tomorrow for the north side of Mt Mitchell.there's a good campsite past deep gap if you're going to do the black mountain traversethat's only a 2-day point-to-point trip though.>Doing a 5 day tripuhhh so what's your itinerary?
>>2130454Yesterday. Caught this nice bass in a sw FL canal.
>>2135706That was a fun trip.
>>2137276hey thats where i live
About 3 weeks ago went camping for the first time in the last 7 years.
>>2130454Not very recent but here it is, around Syracuse (Eastern Sicily). If somebody could suggest a good mp4 to webm converter I would be happy to post some waterfall footage too.
>>2137116i normally pick up "hiker's legs" after the third day though
>>2138322webms won't fit here, just type mp4 to webm converter in a search engine, but you can link them in like a pastebin or something I think we are still stuck at 5mb file size limit here
