Name a better food staple whilst /out/
>>2059178It's actually called fuet, you yet to be romanized savage.
>>2059181all fuet is dried sausage but not all dried sausage is fuet. Personally I'll take something a lot drier with me especially in summer when something like fuet might not last so long. Or does it?
>>2059184Actually it should last several weeks and the only (gayer) problem is it may harden over time. Bestter choice is be to bring chorizo since you can cook it with some carbs or eat it raw. Truth is that good dried food tends to be eaten very early into the trip unless you are very well disciplined.
>>2059191local dairy and livestock farmers are the GOAT food source whilst out I can't think of a better feeling than stocking up on raw milk and cheeses from a small-scale farm you bump into along the road.
>>2059178im not gay i dont eat DICK shaped things when im out. Were not all homos yet u fucking zoomer. LARP FAG
>>2059178I prefer a block of ham (actual dried ham, not the pink shit) as far astaste goes, even thoug it can get "sweaty" when hot, but yeah dried sausage is the best, I go with sucisson sec, I like Ardeche one, quite dry and very hard, flavor is more meat and less fat than others, and it holds up really well in hot weather>>2059191I love chorizo, but where I live it's hard to get anything else but the shitty industrial one in weird plastic like casing
>>2059178Home made jerky
>>2059178Why do they look like shit tho?
>>2060363Based. Do you have a special slicer or just do it with a knife? I tried once and it was kinda thick, maybe I just need to git gud though
>>2060422Put the meat in the freezer for like 40 mins before cutting, makes it 100x easier to cut.
>>2059178>Name a better food staple whilst /out/KNORRSIDES
>>2060385it is technically an intestine shoved full of stuff
>>2060458They teriyaki rice is pretty good
>>2060463Well , when you say it like that ...
>>2060358>>2060363hell yeah dude
>>2060422I just do it with my knife, put it in the freezer like 20 minutes before helps From experiance I would say consistency matters more then actual thickness along as it is withing like 1-3cm wetI like it a little on the thicker side so I just leave it dehydrating a little longer, I feel it gives me a better flsvor balance between the marinade and the natural meat flavors. I'm aiming more for a bubble gum esperisnce then chios if you know>>2060515Hell yea
>>2060640>1-3cmLol I'm drunk. Meant like up to 1cm
>>2060640holy cow, I've just realised, I own a dehydrator. I bought it for mushrooms but totally forgot I could use it for other stuff! Thank you for reminding me!!!
>>2059202this is so super funny, quality troll. i see you are fitting in well newfriend.
>>2059178Smoked fish is also great, though obviously doesn't keep as long.
>>2060363i have a similar dehydrator wtf! i didnt know you could make jerky in there
>>2059178>Name a better food staple whilst /out/Bobo's oat bars
Scho-ka-kola, which is caffeinated german chocolate. It was used by the nazis in WW2 so you know its good. You can get it at https://www.varusteleka.com/en

>>2060749>It was used by the nazis in WW2 so you know its goodExcept they LOST so obviously not that good
In before skurka beans
>>2059202Avid open active homosexual here. I LOVE thick sausages in my mouth. They are so moist and wet and delicious.
>>2059178In southern africa I'd always have a sack of biltong and chili bites
>>2059191Chorizo yo this Mf BASED love chorizo
>>2060905Is that dog meat?
>>2060903you seem like a fella who eats his dried sausages with a glass of whole milk and lets it drip down his chin
Smoked fish is good for a solid week. Depends on the type whether it'll survive in a rucksack though
>>2060905>biltongthis stuff is fucking great, so much better than jerky
>>2062062I would never waste a drop of milk.
>>2060741I like this recipe for jerkey and that style dryerhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9Z7r0achfY
Idk if it's better than dried sausage but I made pemmican and hardtack for some comfy Larp nibble before. The pemmican was nice, the hardtack was a little less so but pretty convenient and lightweight.Ramen is also a solid staple. tough to beat some mi goreng noodles after a long cold hike.
>>2060903>>2062086Can you stop being gay please?
>hurr durr sausage looks like dickdo amerikeks really>>2060903raked
>>2062284The ones in OP look like a dog's dick.
>>2060753Just poke the meth rocks into the chocolate, the milk version is softer than the dark chocolate.
>>2060458For me it's kraft mac mixed with a tuna packet
>>2059199>out>encountering farmsPoor euros, every square mile of their homeland is settled. No real wilderness to speak of.
>>2065157could also just be a skinwalker
I take one of these on every backpacking trip I go on. Cut it up and add it Knorrs or ramen or just sit by the fire and warm up slices on a stick. Such good comfy food for me.
>>2059178I can't name one.Because there isn't one.Carry on, Patrician OP.
>>2059199>raw milkEnjoy shitting brown water until you die with your hippie-tier bullshit.
>>2060354that is the mexican style chorizo which isn't cured/smoked like the spanish stuff is, don't eat that raw>>2060903have fun getting your tires slashed, you on the other hand can eat mexican chorizo raw since you eat the poo poohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=On3etueeGIgPop tarts, jerky, peanut butter, coffee and lots of booze.
>>2060749german lost two world wars
>>2059178The eternal answer.
>>2069522Ww1 was complete bullshit though. The US kept them from raping the british warships by threatening to stop selling to them.
>>2059178I would eat baked dirt cookies but I don't know if it's safe. Would help with low-calorie lifestyle.
>>2060672you dirty drug head :^)
>>2059178A variety of preserved foods supplemented by whatever fresh food your setup allows you to also bring.Camping might be space confined but A: you're prolly within a half hour drive of a grocery store and B you can bring a fuckin cooler. Short of serious backpacking trips, there's rarely a need to try to figure out what the best "survival" food is. It's camping bud: take a cooler with some veggies and beer.
>>2069524hnnnng that looks good, i love chinese food. dim sum, noodle soups, dumplings, spicy southern dishes, you name it. i used to go to chinatown to the bakeries all the time they have these delicious glutinous rice pancakes that are nice to nibble on while out walking around
>>2069897Bitch I bring steak and whiskey
