>>1934916I live in a cabin innawoods.I go for a half mile hike just to check my mail.
>>1934943how is it? i want to live like that.
This is snek. Hissss hisssss
Went out mushroom hunting with a couple friends.
>>1934952It's quiet.Lots of animals around.Sometimes I just sit on the porch and listen to the trees for an hour.It can be frustrating because if you get home and realize you forgot milk it's an hour and a half round trip to go back to the store.Nearest gas station closes at 10 so if you didn't pay attention to your gas gauge your now syphoning gas out of your lawnmower just to get back in the morning.
Took this while kayaking last week
>>1935065has working shown trouble with the amount of driving and gas? or do you work from home
>>1934987>>1934989Do you get high on those? How is it?
>>1935129>Do you get high on those?yes>How is it?terrible, there is a high but it's completely overshadowed by intense nausea and vomiting and possibly death.
Here is a webm from mine
>>1935300And a second one
>>1935116I work in a welding shop in a nearby town. Its about a 45 mile drive. There's not much else in that town, population is around 8,000 iirc. The drive used to annoy me, I'm from an extremely large city and am used to having a freeway on-ramp a mile from home. But now its just autopilot- I know every curve. I pass more deer than cars.Shopping just gets planned ahead. I don't just go to Lowes for a box of drywall screws- I plan projects ahead of time and buy everything I might need for the next month. Its all worth it when I have a bonfire and BBQ with friends and we shoot exploding shotgun targets on my own range.
>>1935205im thinking of getting hoop earrings this december
From the first week of Nov. Been busy with work and school so haven't been able to really get out since.
Saw a bunch of elk while elk hunting. Didn't see the right type of elk though.
I've only done dayhikes recently.
>>1935207Do you know you have to dried them first, right?
>>1935129the dosing for those is criticaleven the tiniest bit too much and you just become hyper aware of the feeling of being poisoned and it's not enjoyable at allbut low doses provide a very pleasant only-just-more-than-placebo buzz, kinda like being a little bit tipsy but with a completely unclouded headspaceessentially if you go into it looking to 'get high' the mushrooms will fuck you up, but if you respect them and take it slow they can be quite amazing things
>>1935325lol I've had them so long i don't even think of them anymore, i was expecting someone to call me out on the timestamp tbdesu.be a chad and do it yourself with a safety pin and some rubbing alcohol,
>>1935485you can't tell me how to eat my poisonous mushrooms
>>1934916Had a nice long walk through a primordial forest with lakes dotted through it, the only way it could have been better is if my dog was with me
>>1935129>>1934987>>1934989https://psychonautwiki.org/wiki/Amanita_muscaria_(mycology)i cant remember their names but there are 2 different chemicals present in these 1 that makes you sick and one which is psychoactive. siberian shamans actually used to feed these to deer and then drink the deers urine to trip because it filtered out the other chemical
Fishing trip from last week, excuse the quality of the picture.
>>1936008check that, excuse the damn resolution
Processed some wood. Was great!
>>1934916I went out last night.I would post proof but I dont have a phone because im not a blogging faggot like the rest of you
>>1935305Haha thought I was the only one that did that. Fuck those Cairns!
>>1934916>within the past monthI'm not a hunter. Come January I'll be back doing wildlife photography shoots again from morning til night. Hoping to capture some snowy owls this winter.

>>1934916Went to the NJ pine barrens on Sunday. It's some of the best /out/ in this very non /out/ area, and I wanted to gather wild cranberries.
>>1936153Here's my haul of wild cranberries. Gonna make a banger sauce for Thanksgiving.
>>1934928i-is that a snorlax?
>>1934916I was on the Arizona Trail earlier this month and met this old son of a bitch who cleaned his water with only aquamira. The water out there is from like cow tanks and is basically sludge. I ran my water through a bandana and then my filter and that shit would clog after a liter. This grandpa would pour in the mira and just drink it straight. He said it was like drinking chocolate milk. I think about that on a daily basis. Pic related, what he would raw dog
>>1935300>>1935305what garmin is that and how well does it work? pros/cons? im looking to get a gps and am looking at all their stuff

Comfy maine forest
Harriman State Park, NYwent yesterday, was around 30F when I got there at 8AM, went up to mid-40s by 1 or 2PM maybe.
Red rocks was looking pretty the other day
Just a little three mile loop at my local state park.
It was pretty cold.
had some fun with /photography too1
My last outting was on the Appalachian trail Maryland section. I had Annapolis rocks all to myself for a full day
>>1934916In the woods hunting right now bitches
>>1935984Good eating right thar
>>1936712Any tips on when to go look? I know fall is good, and I would assume waiting until after rain as well.
>>1937947>I had Annapolis rocks all to myself for a full dayWhat day of the week did you go? I read that place is usually crowded because of its proximity to D.C.
>>1938131Five people have already logged Annapolis Rock on Alltrails today, and it's only 3PM EST
>>1937958There is nothing more out then hunting. I spend a shit ton of time in the woods during these 4 months
>>1938133>Alltrailsgod damned, is listing some place on alltrails the fastest way to kill a trail?
>>1938144I would say so based on formerly secret locations near me being ruined by Alltrails. Even Reddit and Instagram aren't as bad imo. In the case of Annapolis Rock, being located on the AT within driving range of DC/Bmore/Pgh doesn't help either.
>>1938159https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/new-york/hidden-waterfall-trailHere's a place near me that Alltrails ruined. It used to be completely empty (even on weekends) until some asshole, likely some citiot, posted the lat/long coordinates of the off-trail waterfall and gorge.I won't even go back because it would probably spoil the fond memories I have of the place.
>>1934943what do you do for work that allows this kind of comfy life?
>>1938162Here's a trail near me that only locals previously knew about>https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/pennsylvania/bartlett-mountain-baldsSome faggot posted this on alltrails at the beginning of this year, and now there's already 25 reviewsgod i hate alltrails so fucking much
>>1938131The weekend before election, it was raining end cold, absolutely zero people then it cleared up for a nice evening alone
>>1938193That mountain has actually been on my wishlist for a couple of years after reading about it on an obscure blog. Shame I didn't get around to hiking it before this year.
>>1938213Yeah, that definitely seems plausible. Reminds me of when I visited an overcrowded state park near me and had it all to myself on a mid-summer Saturday because there was rain in the forecast (it later cleared up).
Im posting while sitting inside and there’s nothing you can do about it
Little loop I did with the gf 3 days ago
Was at the Organ Mountains yesterday.
from Sunday. Oregon
My chaga harvest from this weekend. Cut up and ready to go into the dehydrator.
Last week I found a huge amount of garbage when I was "exploring" with my dog. I went back a few days later with some bags and cleaned up the remnants of a party that, judging from the logos on the cans, took place around 2004. I collected a large amount of cans, glass bottles, and plastic party cups. What really upsets me was not how much litter there was, but how long it had been sitting there. I am certain that other people have passed through there in the past 15 years. Do they just not care?
>>1939686Sorry for the rotation. This was one portion of the mess.
>>1934916Frank Jackson State Park, Alabama
>>1939737Cannot recommend it if you go /out/ to get away from people, but it was very nice.
I think it's older than a month at this point, but not by much. Fucking chinks cleaned it off, along with every single mushroom in the entire 27 acre clump of trees regardless of size, stage, or quality.
Tuckerman Ravine last day before snowfall
Deer on the trail at Big Bend
>>1938137Spoon and crockpot club.Killing tomorrows trophies today.
>>1934987same as this person, went mushroom hunting. Only picked the Coprinus comatus I found to make ink, and just learning to ID the others. I can do plants, fungus is weird and new to me.
>>1934916This is from Monday.
>>1935376This is nice, where were you?
Comfy hammock setup in the rain last sunday. 2 night trip to Lake Vesuvius with my dad. Some 75 year old guy came to our campsite about an hour before dark asking for water and directions to the dam, where his car was parked (about 5 miles away). Dad went back with him and brought a headlamp so the guy didn't end up dead, while i stayed at camp to try to make sure it didnt flood too badly.Dad was gone for 5 hours, camp was flooded, and i was starting to think he slipped off the path into the lake, or into a ravine. We average a bit less than 3 mph with packs on so he should've been back by then.Decided to take off into the woods yelling for him every 10 seconds, and running when it wasnt too dangerous. Found him about 2 miles later with a dead headlamp. We made it back to camp cold and wet, we drank the rest of the whisky we brought, and tried to get some rest so we could hike out in the morning.10/10 would go again
One week ago.

Kayak I built
>>1934916My hiking buddy
>>1942853Based. I wanna make a snowmobile or something similar so I can start my hikes deeper in the forest during the winter. Probably using a chainsaw and expedition sled.
>>1942524Actually it’s just weeding out the weak and strengthening the overall population
>>1942853Didn't know Australia had lakes like this.
>>1942884yeah, that buck looks really weak and sickly, doesn't he? i mean hunt all you want, but fuck outta here with that nonsense.
>>1942853do you strap yourself in to keep from falling out?
Does it have to be nature?
>>1935129They're everywhere in Helsinki in the fall and not even the drug addicts touch them since its apparently such a terrible high and not worth the trouble at all.
With friends. What more can I ask?
>>1944557>third wheel>What more can I ask?to have a qt3.14 snowshoeing gf
>>1944868Can I have her when you're done?
>>1934916This from San Jacinto Mountain
>>1934916Every time I go out for a day hike I regret it. Pic related. Would have been so much better if I could have stayed the night. Especially considering the freezing temperatures keep the normal fags away, I could have blown the loudest whistle on earth and nobody would have heard it.
>>1935355Beautiful, I wish Snowy landscapes were a thing where I live.
>>1946084what falls is this?
>>1946100CumberlandThere's a nice 12 mile walk around the edge of the park that's pretty and not very traveled.
