What are the newest cars that aren't collecting boatloads of your every move, building a profile to sell you out to the highest bidder? 2013? Older?

Any japanese motorcycle, hope this helps

Perfection is the enemy of good. Just because you can't change everything at once doesen't mean you shouldn't strive for your ideals in any way you can. Of course /g/ is available for those looking to ungoogle their phones or building it from scratch
>>
>>27023468
>>27023463
This is a good point. For whatever reason it seems bikes haven't gotten anywhere near as user hostile as cars have. Would like some cars for comparison too though
>>
>>27023460
If your car has WiFi just find where the antenna is and wrap it in foil.
>>
>>27023497
That does seem rather brilliant, though I'd not like to support a manufacturer that's trying to screw me over even if I'm able to personally subvert it this time
>>
>>27023506
>>27023497
This could disable some features from the car like heated seats on BMW (that are monthly subscription based) if the car is designed like a dead mans switch
>>
>>27023460
in the US, any car that used 3g as a means of sending data
>>
>>27023515
This, 3G networks have been shuttered in the entire US, so the telemetry doesn't work anymore for them.
>>27023506
It's not legal to have no telemetry/spyware in a care anymore, so every manufacturer does it.
>>
>>27023514
Actual trash lol
>>
>>27023515
Oh, this could be good news actually! Over here in eurostan we're dismantling our 2/3G infrastructure and news were going on about how car emergency systems will cease afterwards. That'll likely mean even 2016 models can't phone home anymore
>>
>>27023483
That's because bikers have a short life span.
>>
>>27023519
>It's not legal to have no telemetry/spyware in a car
Really? What kind of features would be mandated to new cars?
>>

Nah, it's much later than that. Onstar was the first cell connected feature in cars, and that wasn't rolled out until '96. Cars really didn't have powerful enough data gathering capability to be worthwhile for glowies to utilize until the early 2000's, and there were still tons of cars that weren't shipped with data antennas by then. OP is probably right, the hard cutoff for all cars having data sending capabilities is around the early 2010s.
>>
>>27023483
To be fair even if they had microphonesnall that would be recorded 90% of the time is engine noise, wind, and exhaust.
>>
>>27023675
Actual audio recording isn't really what they're looking for with vehicle data gathering. They want your location, travel frequency, regular destinations, speed, shit like that. Your phone does all the audio recording they need during most regular activities.
>>
>>27023460
You’re probably not gonna like this but… the Dodge Challenger.

Unironically, the 2020 Alfa Romeo 4C
Otherwise, you probably have to go back to 2015 or so on select models. Globally, pre 2006

My old Saab had onstar but it didn't work because it was designed for analog cell phone network
