What are the newest cars that aren't collecting boatloads of your every move, building a profile to sell you out to the highest bidder? 2013? Older?

>>27023460Any japanese motorcycle, hope this helps
>>27023466Perfection is the enemy of good. Just because you can't change everything at once doesen't mean you shouldn't strive for your ideals in any way you can. Of course /g/ is available for those looking to ungoogle their phones or building it from scratch
>>27023468>>27023463This is a good point. For whatever reason it seems bikes haven't gotten anywhere near as user hostile as cars have. Would like some cars for comparison too though
>>27023460If your car has WiFi just find where the antenna is and wrap it in foil.
>>27023497That does seem rather brilliant, though I'd not like to support a manufacturer that's trying to screw me over even if I'm able to personally subvert it this time
>>27023506>>27023497This could disable some features from the car like heated seats on BMW (that are monthly subscription based) if the car is designed like a dead mans switch
>>27023460in the US, any car that used 3g as a means of sending data
>>27023515This, 3G networks have been shuttered in the entire US, so the telemetry doesn't work anymore for them.>>27023506It's not legal to have no telemetry/spyware in a care anymore, so every manufacturer does it.
>>27023514Actual trash lol
>>27023515Oh, this could be good news actually! Over here in eurostan we're dismantling our 2/3G infrastructure and news were going on about how car emergency systems will cease afterwards. That'll likely mean even 2016 models can't phone home anymore
>>27023483That's because bikers have a short life span.
>>27023519>It's not legal to have no telemetry/spyware in a carReally? What kind of features would be mandated to new cars?
>>27023529You crash your car pretty regularly then I take it, cagie?
>>27023529Lmao yeah DONORCYCLES amirite haha so fucking funny dude I only drive the speed limit everywhere and my wife thinks I'm a pussy that gave up on his dreams
>>27023466>laughs in Graphine OS and a 50 year old car
>>27023571Nah, it's much later than that. Onstar was the first cell connected feature in cars, and that wasn't rolled out until '96. Cars really didn't have powerful enough data gathering capability to be worthwhile for glowies to utilize until the early 2000's, and there were still tons of cars that weren't shipped with data antennas by then. OP is probably right, the hard cutoff for all cars having data sending capabilities is around the early 2010s.
>>27023483To be fair even if they had microphonesnall that would be recorded 90% of the time is engine noise, wind, and exhaust.
>>27023675Actual audio recording isn't really what they're looking for with vehicle data gathering. They want your location, travel frequency, regular destinations, speed, shit like that. Your phone does all the audio recording they need during most regular activities.
>>27023460You’re probably not gonna like this but… the Dodge Challenger.
>>27023460Unironically, the 2020 Alfa Romeo 4COtherwise, you probably have to go back to 2015 or so on select models. Globally, pre 2006
>>27023460pov spec 1 litres>buy low mileage 3 banger>no emissions based tax>no touchscreen dashboard glownigger>less paying the oil jew>always stuck in traffic that means you can't even max out the performance of a lawnmower
>>27023705>Your phone does all the audio recording they needMine certainly doesn't.
>>27025919Luv me TwingoSimple as
>>27023460on gm cars, you can rip up ur dash to find the glowie onstar box and just rip it out lol
>>27023460Base model Nissan Titan.
>>27023466>implying there’s a difference between them
>>27023515My old Saab had onstar but it didn't work because it was designed for analog cell phone network
