This is why women loved to get choked. These seatvelts were terrible.
>>

i've never seen those seatbelts anon, can you provide more pictures and explain how they work

that aside, i'm always so impressed by the interior quality of hondas
look at the interior on that 1990 civic, it's simple and mostly plastic but it looks like it was designed to last, certainly looks better than any GM interior i've ever seen

here's another

Retarded zoomer. You literally just sit in the seat and dont flail around like a retard when you close the door

God these 80's and 90's Honda interiors had a great aesthetic. Total deathtraps but with great style.

It's an automatic seat belt. https://youtu.be/lkmoQvbMRFk?si=0LFLI1-cS2lT4kJp
Mainly for the US market because of manufactures expecting legislation changes from the NHTSA because burgers weren't wearing their seat belts, but it never took off.
>>
>>27021511
The big problem was how easy they are to steal. My ex GF did it by accident just cause her key worked in some other honda and she was retarded so she didnt notice that it was a clean automatic with someone elses stuff in it
>>
>>27021500
Not if you was short. If you was short, you ended up cumming while saying harder daddy.

US Market F40s had them, I removed a few of them and replaced with the Euro hardware. Imagine buying an F40 back in the day for 400k and it having that trash setup.

I rode in early 90s shitboxes regularly as a kid. They didnt put 7 year olds in booster seats back then. And I wasnt strangled or sexually excited by any aspect of the car
>>
>>27021574
Well, you never truly lived then.

>Retarded zoomer.

Lol, no one who grew up with these thought they're anything but a pain in the ass
>>
>>27020299
my mom owned a car that had these for a few years. I didn't mind them. The motors break frequently though and that's an annoying repair for a gizmo that does nothing useful.
>>
>>27021623
Easiest fix is just wear the lap belt, or force the shoulder belt back.
>>
>>27021599
I loved it.
>Get in the car, seatbelt is automatic so I dont have to listen to beeping or put the 5 seconds of effort to put it on.
> My passengers nearly get killed and its amusing
> Especially great for short trips/ delivery since the seatbelt is automatic. No getting pulled over for lack of seatbelt.
> Actual theft proofing cause niggers think its a magnavolt or something and they run off without the car
>>
>>27021647
>Especially great for short trips/ delivery since the seatbelt is automatic.

Cute when zoomers larp lived experiences, nothing more obvious.

These things were the worst when you had short trips because you had to wait for the retarded thing to do its move on and off.

Also, you'd know you still have to put your seatbelt on separately, which further highlights how retarded the system was
>>
>>27021686
Lap belts! Wait 10 seconds for the slow fucking motor to tightwn the seatbelt, reach into the crack between the diir and the left pillar, dig out lap belt. Oh, it's a hot day? Third degree burn, my nigga, from the buckle that you have to grab.
>>
I've had two Toyotas with the manual version where anchor is on the door itself rather than the frame, which is maybe worse because it never gets out of the way. I always unbuckle both belts.
>>
>>27021718
What kind of pos were you driving? Also I didnt use the lap belt because I was only concerned about appearance and not safety. The whole thing about the motors going slow is cause someone damaged the door or some shit got in the tracks. Literally just keep that shit clean.

Its part of the nostalgia driving my 1990 shitbox and retards like you were around when the car was new

I miss my CB7. I sometimes think I should get another one because they’re enjoyable to drive down winding roads.
The only downsides to them are the tires and cv axles seem to wear prematurely and their captive rotors makes you think twice about owning one – why did Honda think having the rotors mounted INSIDE the wheel hubs was a good idea; what exactly did they accomplish in doing that?
>>
>>27021772
I had a Paseo with that style, hated it wirse than the auto shit
>>
>>27021498
only look good in press photos, I rode in tons of 90s shitboxes when I was a kid and they were universally trash
>>
>>27020299
I had a car with automatic seatbelts and it was quite straightforward frankly
I enjoyed them, even if it was simply for the novelty
>>
>>27023526
if i cleaned my integra my interior would look as nice as the press photos...
>>
>>27021841
My auto belts are busted. Did yours work? Also, when you yank on the lap belt, does it restrict?
>>
One summer day a hot lap belt singed my pubic hairs off. Never again.
>>
>>27021551

you mean she drove off?
>>

>expecting changes
They weren't "expecting changes", changes occurred. Starting in 1990/1991 passenger vehicles had to have at least one "passive restraint system". There were two ways to achieve this. Either install an airbag or install an automatic seatbelt which counted as passive at the time. The automatic seatbelt was cheaper so thats what many manufacturers did. However that only lasted 3-4 years because in 1994 airbags were mandated anyway. Thats why automatic seatbelts only exist in early 90s cars. That and they were fucking gay.

Huge redpill: cars are literally just blurry shapes to women, they cant tell them apart at all. My mom has gotten in other peoples cars a couple times but they werent even the same make and model
>>
>>27026060
Your mom's a whore. She has ridden with so many guys she cant remember which car she was riding in after she gets done shopping
>>
>>27021844
That's what I've currently got. I think they're weirdly comfy and at least they can't break like the autos can.

It’s been over 7 years since I last had my ‘90 Accord, but I do remember that both automatic seatbelts did work and the inertia lock mechanism did work on the driver lap belt, at least.
>>
>>27027293
Okay, thanks. The dealer sent me home without servicing either of the front belts, I wasn't sure if they were broken or what, so I had to ask.
>>
>>27026060
Lmao this. I always thought it was a meme until I saw it first hand at an academy. Bitch and three kids kept trying to get into a silver F150. Literally yanking the handle and walking around it. Finally got a clue and got into a silver Expedition a few spots down.

Absolutely mental.
>>
>>27020299
I drive a 1990 Accord which was one of the first popular cars to have these. The only people who got hit by it were women. Not a single man over about 12 years of driving it.
