However; I have come to understand and learn to appreciate a lot of modern design. While a large percentage definitely tries too hard to think outside the box; there can be a lot of honest artistic innovation. You especially get a sense of this phenomenon when you look back at the history of architecture, music, or painting. There are many valid criticisms, but some (not even most) of you just have stubborn taste.
