Is a new Mustang a good first car? How is the handling/steering on these cars?
>>

First car? like you've never owned any other car? Or your first Sports car?

First car (never owned any other car)
>>

you are going to get reamed on insurance and drive it into a ditch. Would not be surprised if insurance costs over $350 a month
Get something more reasonable for a first car
>>

Can you recommend a reasonable first car? Can you answer the question in OP about the handling/steering of modern Mustangs?

Don't
>>

try a f150

civic.
>muh handling
you don't even own a car, how do you even know how well cars drive with no frame of reference? Just get a civic.

Handling is OK. A standard GT like you posted has the usual dead electric power steeling feel like a lot of modern cars. They get better with a tire swap to summer tires - most standard GTs are sold with crappy all-seasons. GT PP2 package & Mach1 are legitimately fast around a racetrack but are expensive and again, not suitable for a first car.

Better first car would be something FWD and under 20k (preferably under 10k). Focus ST, Fiesta ST, Civic Sport, Civic Si, Mazda3, etc.

Is a Miata a good first car?
>>
>>26453957

Fuck no. Unsafe. Difficult to fit shit into, spins out.
>>
>>26453828
i did, still alive, car still pristine. fuck off retards just because none of you could afford a real sports car at a young age doesnt mean you should gatekeep everyone else from doing it
>>
>>26454035
that being said go buy a mustang OP, ignore these bus riders. unless its a v6/i4, then you should kill yourself
>>
>>26454034
how bad at driving do you have to be to spin out a miata lmao
>>
>>26454035
if that was your first car then you either started driving at 24 or daddy bought it for you.

Dont talk about affordability when youre a faggot with a silver spoon
>>

Get a cheap manual SN95 or New Edge Mustang GT instead. You can find them for $4k - $8k all day. Just be wary that you have a solid rear axle and roughly 300 lb-ft of torque, so be gentle on the throttle or you'll be part of another Mustang crowd crash compilation.

If you want something newer, you can get something like a Scion FR-S or Nissan 350Z.
Or just follow other Anons' advice and get an 8th gen Civic Si.

Base Mustangs never had good steering. The body roll is the same as a crossover. Not sure if a swaybar will fix it
>>
>>26453750
Moostang Egobukkake is suitable as a 1st car.
I know many kids (boys and girls) who got em in stoned school ("high" school, all ppl do is get high anyways, who the fuck actually learns anything in Amerfagland 2093).

t. i am an altism

Let's be honest, they are lifestyle cars with sporty styling. Most people just call them hairdressers cars
>>
>>26454284
8th gen SIs are so fucking overpriced nowadays
>>
>>26453828
The first car I regularly drove and learned to drive in (though I didn’t own it) had more than that. It’s really not an issue.
>>
>>26454034
What? An NC mx5 is the most forgiving RWD cars to be stupid in.

Practical Daily?

>Mazda 3

“Sports car”
>MX5
>BRZ
>IS200

These are just suggestions as I don’t know the US market so there would be US specific shitboxes that i’m not aware of.

Makes no sense. Having a miata at 16 is totally reasonable for a kid to buy on a mcjob during peak /o/ miata. I was a junior in highschool in 2008 when I got my first car, an NA FC RX7 for $1200. A miata would have been around the same price and affordable after one summer of working for a teenager. My second car while still in HS was an 89 IROC Z. Sounds like you're a lazy kid or zoomer that spent his time and money on videogames instead of driving around and getting laid.

would be a mustang good choice in this case?
