I see this thing everywhere, what's so special about it? Don't tell me people like how it looks because it's grossly overstyled, especially the back.
>>26294181The styling is exactly why people like it. its literally just a RAV4 with a bodykit, there's nothing special about it otherwise. the hatch space is even worse than most hatchbacks due to the very sloped rear window. the PT Cruiser was car of the year at one point in time, most of the population just does not know what a good design is
>>26294208its a lifted more impractical corolla, not a rav4
>>26294181it's a car for the person that couldn't care less about driving. they just want to get from A to B without any frills. maybe call and chat with their friends while they're at it too
>>26294181My wife has one and she likes it for a lot of reasons.>Just us two and a dog, no kids.>Plenty of room in the back if we go out with friends.>The trunk is large enough for daily stuff, even hauled a 65" tv in there once.>Basicly a corolla that sits higher, which is what she wanted.>She thinks it looks cool, I don't but whatever, her car. >Been reliable and gets 38 mpgIt's practical, comfy, and useful enough for the average person. We have had it for 3 years and would buy it again for sure. Before this, she had a Yaris as her first car and ran that thing into the fucking ground.
>>26294464Why would you pick this turd over any other b-segment crossover?
>>26294482Idk, wife is the one that wanted it.>It's a Toyota>Looks "cute" >Enough space for daily shit>Well equipped compared to the competition at the time.It serves our needs, no reason to get anything larger. Got it 3 years ago and the other similar cars were the honda hrv which looks bland as hell and was way underequipped, the Mazda CX-3, which was even smaller and less practical, or the CX-30, which is fucking ugly.Had the Corolla Cross been out, she would have probably just gotten that. She could not care less about cars.
>>26294464>>26294511>Slightly alternate timeline me My wife's first car was a Yaris that she drove to 300,000 miles and when we went car shopping in 2020 it was between this and a Rav4. Went with the rav4 because we DO have a kid along with a pair of dogs. I have the exact same sentiment about the Rav4.....it's meh but it gets pretty wild mileage for what it is, fits anything we need on a daily basis (I have a land cruiser and a trugg for anything of substance), and she likes it just fine.
I think they’re fun because my name is Chris and it’s almost like it was named after me :)Wouldn’t buy one though
>>26294464>>Plenty of room in the back if we go out with friendsTour bait posts almost had me. But you gave it away with this one line. Look at this little porthole of a window. So roomy, right?
>>26294623Basically us. Did test drive a rav4 and said "we don't need this much space" They had an older 2016? CHR on the lot. She drove that, loved it, and all we needed. One happened to be in transit for the next week, and we got it. XLE, heated seats, blue accents, and stitching inside to match the outside.
>>26294642I'm 6'3" and fit just fine back there.Yeah, the window is small and placed dumb, but it's whatever. It's like an airplane window, but slightly in front of you.Plenty of leg and headroom, the seat is comfy and fits me just fine.Would suck to be a kid back there, but we don't have one so who cares.
>>26294181They like it because it is a Corolla that is factory lifted and cheaper than a RAV4
>>26294464Faggot
>>26294181Toyota design is usually a miss. This one is a hit.
>>26294686It's not even my car
>>26294732Post car>inb4 2008 Honda civic si
>>26294902
>>26294181looks like an infant with anencephaly
>>26294511Hmm fair enough. Im a euro so we have literally 20 options in this segment. If I didn’t gave a shit about driving and solely had to pick a small crossover based on looks I would probably pick the nissan juke or vw t-roc
>>26294922
>>26294464>She thinks it looks cool>>26294511>Looks "cute"oh god I hate women's taste in cars so much, literally poisoning society. Everything designed for women, I am going crazy
>>26294957>looks like an infant with anencephalyprecisely what every driver of these things haveor any compact crossover
>>26295393I mean, men are so pussyfied today, women make most purchase decisions at the home. As a car salesman you would not believe how many time I see fully grown, 30+ year old men say they like a car and then say they can't sign because they need approval from mommy. They need to discuss it with "the big boss". It's fucking pathetic. So, it makes sense that most cars are engineered around the unsophisticated female artistic sense of taste.
>>26295407>"Get ready this summer for the all new, 2023 Toyota CHR, you will not believe the savings this Toyotathon"
>>26294181Hyundai Veloster knockoff, CVT only in the USA and worse than the Corolla Hatchback in every aspect.
>>26295393So make your own car or buy one from the past and build it yourself faggot.
>>26295409>Give wife what she wants>Get headIt's a fair trade.
>>26294181Sorry, but it's the looks. Normies don't really know what's good or bad. It's not for everybody, but maybe that's a sign of it having personality and and being distinctive.
>>26295434>get head once a week in my transactional relationship where my wife only fucks me when I give her shit.>drive appliance on wheels that wife forced me to get for "muh famlee" every day. Such is life as a massive faggot.
>>26294181Had one for a while, the hybrid gets great fuel economy. Otherwise it's just a car. Not awful and get's you from A to B
What's a good reliable car up to 10k€, not older than 5 years, enough space for 2 adults and 1 kid, automatic transmission, high seating for my wife?C-HR seems like a good choice and it would probably last forever. But it's god damn ugly, especially the back. The Nissan Juke is a bit cheaper but even more ugly on the front. I would feel ashamed having both of these cars in front of my house. Any other choices?
>>26295691seat arona? really boring npc mobile but nothing really wrong with it...
Before the Corolla Cross it was the cheapest Toyota Crossover and the looks were distinct. With Corolla and Yaris Cross, its deas in North America.
>>26294511>Idk, wife is the one that wanted it.>She could not care less about cars.Yet you obviously do care to some degree (being here), and totally fail to steer your wife.Congrats on being a beta, you sound like an insect.
>>26294181Toyota is the default car companyCrossover is the current default body style
>>26295691I don't know where you live but up to 10k euros for a <5 year old car which is automatic and not tiny seems like a big stretch these days? At least in the UK. I'd personally suggest Suzuki Ignis or Vitara depending on size/speed requirements.
>>26296032>totally fail to steer your wifeHad his wife buy a Toyota, that's the right direction at least.
