I know how they butchered the Carrera GT. Pulled a sneaky on normies by putting on a body kit and straight pipes then marketed stock performance numbers as improvements from their “modifications”. Took the pinnacle of German automotive engineering from that era and riced it out.
>>
>>26294067
Do you know how much more downforce a Mirage GT generates? All while keeping the same top speed.

Fell to shit when real tuners like Sportec, 9ff, Manthey actually made cars better & faster rather than just blingy.

Alright then. Personally I'm not a blind find of Porsche body mods, but I think you're hard pressed to find a bad-looking Gemballa.

the games that used Gemballa to skirt Porsche licensing red tape were usually pretty fun so I guess they're alright

IIRC the actual story is that the mob were using Gemballa Cayennes to smuggle cash into SA (Uwe packing the cars up with cash as he rebodied them), then one day a Cayenne arrived with a missing million Euros. Uwe was summoned to SA where he was jumped and killed with a plastic bag. Three nog-sounding gangsters were convicted.

Pretty much every car they do bodywork on ends up looking worse. The rare ones that look decent makes you wonder if they did anything at all.

It's basically the emergency vehicle version of honking the horn. When you hear that, they're saying "hey, nigger, I know you hear the siren, but, like, YOU'RE STILL IN MY GODDAMN WAY, FAGGOT"

Alex Chen, if I recall correctly. Buys fast cars to wreck them, meets the stereotype to a painful degree.

Ben Chen. But yes, he is a total faggot. I would maybe have a shred of respect for him if it was his own money, but he's a trust fund baby whose parents own bunch of Chinese sweatshop factories, if rumor is to be believed.

A lot of cunts think they don’t have to get out of the way when a car on full sirens and lights is closing in on them, so they have the extra horn to be an additional “move, idiot” sound.
Fire trucks and ambulances have them too. All three have the authority to ram you out of the way if you still don’t move

for quite a while EA had an exclusive licence to use Porsche IP
>>
>>26297709
Man fuck this exclusivity shit. I don't understand how a company can forgo a huge opportunity for free advertising (even better than free, the devs pay for the licensing!). Same for console exclusivity
Good thing RUF and Gemballa existed, even though they weren't that good a car in the game anyway
>>
>>26297922
Because they didn't need the marketing. It was (and still is) more of a marketing boon for a game to use known cars in their games. Hence why game publishers pay auto manufacturers to put their cars in their games, not vice versa.
>>
>>26297935
>game publishers pay auto manufacturers to put their cars in their games, not vice versa.
Is that so? I thought it was the other way around, it definitely is in games like Ace Combat, but so far i thought it was the devs who paid

>>
>>26297937
Why would a car company pay a publisher, for said publisher to have exclusive rights to use their cars in video games? Maybe there are some exceptions, but by and large it's publishers paying manufacturers.
>>
>>26297997
>Rum, champagne and cigarettes
Holy based.
>>
>>26298010
Indeed. Interior is pretty based overall. Check out that instrument cluster.

Also the Mirage GT that faggot Ben Chen ordered (and crashed) came with a secret compartment, which he mentioned in an interview.
>>
Need more cars with silhouettes like this.
>>
>>26297922
hey retard
EA had an exclusive Porsche license because they used it to make one of the greatest racing games of all time and kept paying Porsche the license so that it could continue to be sold as part of NFS compilation packs.
On the flip side Sega licensed Ferrari for Outrun 2 and lost that license later on forcing them to pull all copies of the game from sale, and remove and destroy arcade cabinets, and now the only way to play OR2 in any form is pirating it. Same happened with Sega Rally 3 and its ports.

car licensing is aids but EA wasn't exactly squatting on it and were more than happy to sub-license(Porsche DLC pack for Forza 4 came into existence this way).
