2nd for transwing is a fag
tomorrow at roughly 11am it will officially be one year since my wreck.I decided to at least give myself a year a while back It is time.
I'm sorry but I have to admit somethingI own a Honda.........I'm sorry
>>26108130>uses the second post to talk about a namefag instead of his brand of choiceWhat do you do to these fags to make them like this Hotwing?
>>26108120Currently trying to sell my ninja 400, it's been difficult.
>>26108150where are you at? i might take it just because.
>>26108146good to see you turned your name off, keep it that way
anybody have any idea what brand of riding jeans these are? they've got hip + knee inserts and kevlar (i assume) on the butt and knees on the front i tried PV, RV, Pcheck, Rcheck and none of'em come up
>>26108131I don't usually speak ill of any bikes if I can help it, but man that V-rod is fucking ugly. BMW just came out with a color similar to that this year and it's just as bad. So long as the owner likes it I reckon.>>26108146something something OC something something motorcyclesYAMAHA
whats this guy up to anyways
>>26108171I can't believe 1000s exist
>>26108171did someone say Yamaha? also great day for riding, seemed like everyone was stuck at home talking to uncle touchy and aunt boozy. lotta empty roads all day, stuffed myself with a dozen plates of food afterward, and it's about time for evening pie
>>26108198I noticed this also. Sadly I did not have a bike but it was easy to go to the airport.
>>26108150How much. It's also winter. Bet you'll have an easier time selling once tax return season starts.
>>26108137Oh no gee en fren wat happen?

>>26108214I kind of want to ride right now but everyone on the way home seemed to be swerving
>>26108216yeah, a lot of drunk or high drivers this evening - locally. maybe it's the same, maybe not. my solution was picking a twisty parkway with very few private homes along the route. also was at the bottom of a river valley so was at least 15 degrees colder than street level but that's beside the point. become one with the road less traveled by drunk partygoers
>>26108210is that a busa with a 1000 tail?one of those little mods that i think looks pretty sweet.

Night, bros. Happy Thanksgiving
On the subject of hookers, has anyone actually done it? I took a road trip to Nevada in 2019 and swore I was going to do it but I just got this sickening feeling in my gut when it was time. Same feeling I got with the couple of one night stands I had but worse. All I ever wanted was a commited monogamous relationship but that seems to be a tall order for western women.>>26108239Kind of how I ended up buying the grim reaper Ducc.>hey anon can you hold onto my Lotus and Ducati while I'm getting hip surgery and a divorce? How was I not supposed to buy it.

>>26108277As I'm sure you're aware trannies have had a crusade against 4chan for a long time. They know the manliest men of 4chan reside in this thread (especially the harleychads), so it's their goal to just derail it as much as possible. They don't give a shit about motorcycles lol. You ever see the people seething and reeeeing at my posts posting their own bikes? Never. Even if they try to blend in they just post youtubers. It's all very obvious. Even the jannie is a tranny. You got your eye on any learner bikes right now? This is the time of year for that kind of purchase for sure.

I could go buy a learner bike right now but I'd have to dip into my emergency fund and I don't want to do that. I think after Christmas will be a perfect time to buy.
>>26108171Yea I think the vrod is an ugly bike at any point. It doesn't look like a Harley, and if it wasn't no one would've bought one

I have some lowering links I got from the previous owner. I'm thinking I want to put them on to try it out. Anyone else try lowering a bike?
>>26108331That tripple looks like fun. Might try the track next year.
>>26108346What are the chances I find a used one without major issues for $2K in the dead of winter. Year doesn't matter, scrapes don't matter. Just functionality.
>>26108375Probably depends on how far your willing to drive and how much you haggle. Anything decent getting listed around 2k is going to get swooped on fast.

New or used it'll hurt my wallet either way.>>26108399i like how the busa kept its 1990s era looks for 20 years, but the new busa's sleekness gives it a good trim off the fat.

Are there any alternatives to SRX400/600 and cb400ss? I'm looking for a mid-displacement, affordable single-cylinder road bike.
>>26108577Alright I’ll get a top case and put a few bricks in then
should I but a fairing on my z900rs?
>>26108788I've considered it, but I like the naked look and it keeps me below 100mph most of the time too, which is no bad thing. Mostly I don't want to hide those bullet clocks.
>>26108120>Fast™ EditionOh. Well, shit I guess I can't post here.
>>26108770Are you looking at decades old bikes because you're poor, or you just like the look of them? The definition of affordable varies.
>>26108797that's the main reason for me actually. everything above 120 km/h (75 mph) feels really uncomfortable. but not that you said you drive up to 100 mph I feel like a little girl.
>>26108804I'm really poor and I like the feel and sound of single cyl engines. I owned a srx400 in the past but I can't afford to buy another one, so looking for something cheaper that is not chinese or ybr125
>>26108806If you're regularly riding on the highway or fast roads I'd say go for it, I did a stint at 70mph on a long journey and it was unpleasant. I just use mine for country lane croozing so I'm mostly maxing at 60-ish, but I've run it up to 110 a couple of times before running out of balls.I'm yet to try the full Eddie Lawson aero-position.
Transwing think its some global tranny condpiracy is trying to get to him by trolling this thread when in reality sperging out for full days because somebody called him short just attracts a lot of trolls
>>26108810Unfortunately all the alternatives that I was going to suggest will be out of your budget, stuff like the MT-03, Duke 390, Z400, CB300R, etc. I don't really know much about older bikes that would be a lot cheaper and from what I can find a lot of them seem to be twins like the GS500 or ER5. Looks like you might have to go with either the CB or maybe a Royal Enfield.
>>26108823Cheers! Yeah, the newer models are out of the question for me. Royal Enfields have crazy hipster tax where I live, they cost way too much for what they are. I guess I'll save up for another year and be on the lookout for a reasonably priced GB500.

Going to cycle gear tomorrow to look at jackets and shit. Should I look for alpine stars? That's the gloves I have.

Are Yamaha bike prices too inflated? I wanna get an r3 but friends and people online keep telling me there are better options for my money (like the RC for example)Pic unrelated
>>26109231Alpinestars is pretty good on their jackets. Bit pricey comparatively but still solid. Im swapping back and forth between a MH armored hoodie (just a bit short in the torso, I'm tall) and a fly racing mesh jacket when its hot, which is a great jacket, just a bit long on the arms.>>26109238depends on the region. In my area the r3 is priced about the same as the cbr300r, which gets absolutely merc'd by the r3 in terms of performance. The n400 is about the same performance and position wise, but in my area those are getting about 60% markup. You cannot buy a used one even for MSRP. The rc390 has about the same power, but is a bit lighter and more aggressively stanced more like a supersport. All three are really very similar honestly, get which ever fits your budget best and you like the looks of the most. I'll just note that the ninja 400 is a bitch to tension the chain on in my experience.

The shop is mine and 100% paid for by me. My parents did however give me an unused piece of land to build it on, which was a big help I do admit. The bikes a death trap.>>26109560Dunno. Haven't done research into Suzi, none of the bikes in my price range fit my style. >>26109598it was absolutely an afterthought from yamaha and the ultimate fault is with them, but the wheelie bit was genuine for the most part. Most all of the cracked frame gen1s were bikes that had been stunted and hooned pretty bad. Very few reports coming back of cracked frames on bikes without bent license plates, if you know what i mean. Still no excuse though lol.
>>26109598If someone wheelies like a fucking retard and slams the front down constantly, yes, they will have shock issues a lot faster than if they weren't doing that
>>26109604>>26109600I would also like to testify that I myself might have a slightly molested plate from a bump or something.
>crossing a river >water comes up to my knees>bike starts to sputter>afraid I'm going to fall and my bike will be washed away forever>make it to the other side with no problemscomfy ride, but I wonder how many bikes ended up stalling in a crossing because the water came up to the carb breather tube that usually runs down to the inside of the swingarm
>>26109613redpill me on this unique machine frendo, where can i find one?
How often do you guys replace your brake rotors? My stealership said mine are below spec which has made me paranoid but everything I read online says basically don't replace them until they warp or crack. I only really do street riding so it's not like I'm putting a ton of wear on them.
>>26109608Love those low power dualsports. Did my training on one, super fun little bikes, really made me consider getting one for trail bombing.
AAAAA WHY CAN'T I FIND VFR800 ECU HEADERS
>>26109637as the rotor thins you can get reduced braking performance, but unlike a car the thinner rotors on a bike will rust, crack, or warp long before they grind down usually. of course the dealership aint lying to you it does make some difference, but in reality its really not that big a deal.
>>26109643>ECU HEADERSBro...don't fuck with that bike just ride it.
>>26109652But I have a spare rusEFI I want to put in my bike and I don't want to cut up the stock wiring harness
>>26109613I've never had that issue. Might be unique to some cv carbs.
>>26109634On facebook marketplace for the same msrp it sold for new 15 years ago. Sellers are on crack
>>26108290The inventory here sucks crusty butthole right now. Literally half of it is aging boomers unloading their touring hogs.
>>26109656Aha, based, carry on.
>>26109468Thank you david appreciator I got a 26k otd from redwood harley (22 lowrider st). I have to fly up and ride it down. Would be kino tho.
Does the mixture affect exhaust tones? I saw a comment that the poor mixture of modern bikes is part of the floor polisher sound
>>26109580Do you think the crook is relevant or i can just leave it like this
>>26109740I mean, its not like its gonna hurt anything, just doesnt look as tidy as it could.
>>26109743YeahI guess I'll have to go through itI was so anxious to tape wrap and finish it but anxiety has never done anything well.
>>26109643http://www.cycleterminal.com/honda-22-pin-sumitomo-icm.html Do any anons know what series of connector this would be? This site says it's sumitomo but doesn't give a part number or series, and they only sell the wiring harness connector and not the matching ECU header
>>26109751No reason to be anxious working on a bike fren. Crack a beer and take your time. Wrenching can be relaxing if you just let it be. Unlike wiring. Wiring is never relaxing. especially when every damn clip is so brittle it snaps.
>>26109790HELL BROTHRRRR YEAAAA
I love you guys. It’s too cold to ride in New Hampshire now but I’m glad you fags are here

>>26109812Full homo. I came across this today. It’s a 250cc bike with a CVT transmission. Been watching too many “cheapest shit from the internet” videos that were a fad last year
>>26109837What the actual fuck lol, lmao even.

I did not decide today.

>>26110094Its a honda

Are steel toes a bad idea for riding?
>>26110203>wearing the modular helmet in the up position, has a balaclava on
>state requires everyone take a motorcycle course>can't even get a permit by written test>state is rural and stupid so there's only a few courses>literally none are happening because muh winter>I have to wait 5+ months nowboy does my state suck and boy did I pick the wrong time to get interested in bikes
>>26110212i mean its a better choice than sneakerswearing shit boots in general is bad, you want ankle protection more than anything
>>26110226Just start practising anyways
>>26110212they protect your toes but if the boot uses real metal your feet will get more cold than you could have ever imagined possible. they will sap the life out of you through the tips of your feet. Jack Frost will use them to get under your skin like the scarabs from The Mummy. You'll have more frostbite than a witch's tit in a brass bra doing pushups in the snow.
>>26110234I'm not fond of the prospects of getting caught without a permit or license
>>26110225>wearing the modular helmet in the up position, has a balaclava on
I'm being fined by my landlord for keeping my motorcycle in my apartment since she claims it will require extra cleaningThis is some bullshit
>>26110335Prove her wrong then threaten legal action. I’m sure it doesn’t say anywhere in your lease you can’t put a motorcycle inside your house. If she calls your bluff look for a lawyer that works pro-bono. As in, you only have to pay him if you win. There is plenty of them out there.Fuck that Jew bitch
>>26110335what a whore. how does she know it was in there?thats an easy win on judge judy, she would need proof & pics of the "extra" clean up
>>26110094circle headlight and they would have sold twice as many
>>26110335It's gonna shed hair everywhere you goyim, pay up oy vey
>>26110329>picrellooks like a modular helmet wearer
>>26110367Seriously, those types of headlights look terrible. The most recent MT line are the only bug headlights I like. What modern bikes have normal round headlights? I've been looking at the cb650/1000r, xsr900, z900rs.
>>26110353She's chinese and the ironic thing is the place is already a dumpCabinets from the 1980s Taped shut windowsShittiest bathroom known to man (she did comment on my new shower head and said it was a nice upgrade, but jokes on her i am installing the old one when my lease is up)I think she was shocked that I carted it up to the 2nd floor, it's just a dual sport and I muscle it up stairs at night. Dual sports in plain sight are asking to get stolen around hereThis shit makes me so mad
>close visor, can't see shit with the fog & droplets>open visor, can't see shit with the droplets hitting my face hard & making me close muh eyesSuch is life in the jungle
*turns purple on you at night* nothing personell McDonalds livery r7 and r1 anons.
>>26110393The MT headlights make sense because they drop the reflector dishes entirely, they're just little cylinders of LEDs. I think the old FZ1 headlights look better, like giant anime eyes on a bike, but I can at least appreciate the MT design.
>>26110395Such is the plight of the dual sport “chad” KEKYou are such a chad, garageless and all.
>>26110335In my apartment complex you'll be fined if you don't put it in your house during winter

>>26110407>chomo pretends he's Grimace at night searching for kidsAt least the R7 and R1 are fast on a track. The only time you're fast is on track to abduct a child.
>>26110421Thanks I did, just got home
>>26110395Is it an extra deposit or a ongoing fine. If it’s one time then just pay it and consider it storage fees while your bike is safe
>>26110422>R7 >fastNot sure what you mean
>>26109534>the weld that's known to breakoh the ironing
>>26110424I was also considering the ftr but I'm not a fan of how it looks, if I ever actually get around to it I'll have to teat ride one.
>>26110071Please do not make a decision. This is too entertaining.>>26110226Just do what I did. Buy a liter bike straight away with no title, reg, plates, or license. Drive illegally until you can get all the paperwork done properly. But don't ride without gear. You want to survive and make it to your court date for giving the law the finger.
