You will never be a real SUV. You have no body-on-frame, you have no AWD, you have no Off-Road Capabilities. You are a hatchback twisted by greedy companies and the ignorance of the general public into a crude mockery of SUVs perfection.
All the “validation” you get is naive. Behind your back people mock you. Your creators arent proud of you, your “fans” see you as nothing else than a tool for going from A to B.
Real car fans are utterly repulsed by you. A century of car evolution have allowed said guys to sniff out frauds with incredible efficiency. Even Crossovers that are “good enough” look uncanny and ugly. Your unibody structure is a dead giveaway. And even if you manage to get a woman to buy you, she’ll die in a rollover once your lifted compact car suspension causes you to flip.
You will never be good. You wrench out a fake impression of a real SUV so foolish people think its going to be ok.
The emergency services will find you, relieved that they no longer have to deal with another inefficient, bloated vehicle. They’ll send you to a scrapyard with your chassis code, and every passerby for the rest of eternity will know a crossover is buried there. Your body will decay and go back to the dust, and all that will remain of your legacy are remains that are unmistakably from a hatchback.
This is your fate. This is what you chose. There is no turning back.

Optional AWD and even a center locker, but go off. This is how NPCs see sedan, wagon and hatchback drivers btw.

Would have gone for hatchback but FWD and tiny cargo space.

why dont you buy a estate wagon? it's just slightly smaller yet you dont risk your life as much
>>

My dad has an Avensis diesel wagon and a RAV4 hybrid as a company car. He actually prefers the Avensis when stuff needs to be moved because it has more practical and longer cargo space with seats folded and because it's lower it's more stable and comfortable on highway

XJ was the first vehicle to prove an SUV had to be body on frame.
>>
>>25917430
It it as slow as every (((reviewer))) says it is? Or are they just being cunts because it doesn't do 0-60 like a lambo?
>>
>>25919172
Unibody design has come a long way since the XJ. It's not very stiff by modern unibody standards. Even a typical family crossover is going to have a body far more rigid than the XJ.

>You have no body-on-frame, you have no AWD, you have no Off-Road Capabilities.
What you're describing is a truck, not an SUV. Not every truck is a pickup truck. An SUV is just a really big crossover, and a crossover is just a really big hatchback. A 4Runner is a truck, a Highlander is an SUV, and a CH-R is a crossover.

HATCHBACK ON HEELS
>>
>>25919948
SUV is clearly a body on frame vehicle while a crossover is unibody.

It’s a clear cut difference. You don’t take a unibody vehicle off-road unless you want to rip body panels

honestly i just want a lifted hatchback. I dont care about offroad capability or whatever. having it lifted is just way easier on modern roads. people who hate crossovers should go drive on what people actually have to drive on instead of their canyons

>TFW my country labeled this car as an estate wagon
It's a good car, spacious, has a good ride on the country roads, but very monotone and lacking personality, just like the normal Corolla.
Also the AWD option is just wasted on this car, takes a ton of good trunk space and don't contribute to anything because the traction control cripples this car's handling on the dirt.

Also yeah, I own one, the hybrid version specifically, so feel free to call me a faggot.
>>
>>25920339
why cant you just accept different use cases for different people
>>
>>25920384
>actively using a less viable solution just for "muh cargo space"
>ignoring the reduced MPG, the higher chances of dying in a car crash and its overpriced MSRP
>>
>>25920401
It's a safe as fuck modern car and is $2000 more than the sedan version so I don't really care. Ride height is a real asset at this point. Easy of entry. etc.
For better or worse crossovers get the most attention and effort from manufacturers too so they often have better features than sedan counterparts which are allowed to age more.
>>
>>25920403
>Easy of entry
Do mutts really?
>>
>>25920384
Crossover are on abomination that combines the negatives of a car with the negatives of a SUV.

And to your next point 90% of crossovers are barely higher in ride height than the related to cars and the eye line of most come up to just above the bumper of my SUV - ie the ride height is so minimally different that you still can’t see past SUVs or trucks - the so claimed advantage of crossovers.

we know faggot. people buy it because it's a fucking Corolla with some decent ground clearance + AWD + hatchback, and still cheaper than a RAV4. not everyone fucking needs a body on frame SUV that gets 15mpg and a third row for two fucking kids. not everyone is looking for, dare I say it and get called a redditor, a penis compensation vehicle

>>
>>25919194
No, it's slow. Okay for keeping up with traffic, but nothing else. They didn't even bother putting in an "eco" mode, probably because it's already barely acceptable.
It's also very loud. The engine groans in a horrible way accelerating, and the road noise above 50-ish is oppressive.
>>
>>25926710
no shit, its a toyota
>>
Look, I don't like all the SUV crossovers driving around, but lets not act like this is the "ignorance of the public". You are just a cringe body on frame shill. If people want an off road SUV, they have options and they buy them.
People don't want that. Nobody goes off-roading in their SUV because nobody wants to go off-roading. People want something that sits a bit higher, has more room than a hatchback, has AWD so they can drive in the winter with comfort, drives like a car, and is safer than a car. That's basically 95% of all SUV's sold today.

Don't like it? Cry about it. Go buy a Bronco for 20k over MSRP and maybe companies will start making more body on frame vehicles.

Not going to do that? Then you are not entitled to an opinion. Get your money up.
