Is your car a performance car, or do you have to park with the plebs?
>>25614088>V8 Mustang>Any CamaroI imagine those are the easiest ways to get in, but will I be judged for parking a 4 cylinder Camaro convertible among Lamborghinis
>>25614088Ford Falcon must have a different meaning in UK.
>>25614096Falcons are popular historic race cars
>>25614088>any camaro >not any amgWhat a sham, my c36 amg is rarer, cooler and faster than the turdgen
>>25614088>no ford fairlane thunderboltreeeeeeeeewonder if they accept sleepers
>>25614088How do you do fellow performance cars?
>>25614191Not too bad sir
>>25614088>Any HSVYeah man me clubby is heaps performance
>>25614088>CLK GTR and amg 55 and aboveKek these lists are retarded with no consistency Yeah bro a million dollar supercar or your C55 AMG
How tf is a Delorean a performance car?
>have to park my 22b with normiesthis is bs
>>25614248Looks cool parkedThat's pretty much it
>>25614137A late model H.O. 305 5spd is probably faster. Also the 4th gen was a thing when the C32 came out so that's a retarded comparison anyway.
>>25614094>implying these faggots actually know anything about cars
>>25614232Or MG Metro, at least specify the Turbo, which Lotus had some hand in
>>25614088I guess I'll park my civic sport somewhere else, not happy about it though.
>>25614125Probably don't want their fancy parking flooded
>>25614386>Metro 6r4Uhhh, I think I'm with Goodwood on this one

>>25614209Lol, id rent one for the occasion just to fuck with them
>>25614764>Lol this is probably the cheapest way to get on the list.Besides shitty base spec Camaros with cylinders missing apparently.
>>25614357Ok but i said c36 and my main point is that if any camaro is allowed than why isn't any amg allowed. Also i forget the fish camaro is 4th gen not 3rd

>>25616695max power at 6200rpm?
>>25616705Sure if that is how you want to look at it i guess? I'm not about to argue with stupid.
>>25616695what's with the weird jumps in the torque curve? dyno shenanigans?
>>25614088The fuck is this list? Obviously they can't include every performance car ever made so it's not a comprehensive list, but how did a 47 horsepower people mover make it into the list and the FD3S didn't?
>>25614088>perfomnace cars>has jap cars on the listwhich retard made this
I have an XKR but it's the 1st gen which I'm not sure is what they have in mind.
>>25616800It just has less smoothing than you're used to seeing.
>>25616826huh, so more accurate graphs would be a lot more jumpy than this?
>>25616800Because it is a high stroke LS1? It is running 400NM of torque at 3000RPM then 488 at 5100rpm, That's a pretty neat torque curve if you ask me...
>>25616841Or do you mean the drastic drop below 3k rpm maybe? That is due to the cam.
>>25616800bruh you know how an engine works? to make it simple, think of a 1 cylinder 4 stroke engine. You only have one instance that it creates power, the rest of its rotation is just nothing until it gets to the next combustion.
>>25616843oh wow, thanks fren
>>25616853yeah i kinda forgot about that lol. hearing them in action you kinda forgot about the suck squeeze bang blow and all that
>>25614088>delorean any modeli think my grandmas civic has more hp than that thing
>>25616857Oh you were wondering about the dyno graph, yeah nah performance shops will never give you the full graph they give you a condensed version. Trade secrets and all that, most won't even let you see them tuning your car because they want to be the best in the area
>>25616867It's not even the most gutless car on the list. Check out the Alvis 10/30, Ginetta G2, Lancia Fulvia, and Porsche 356.
>>25616907I was going to make a joke about showing up in a base shitter 4 cylinder one but then I saw they specifically listed the top spec Vitesse.
>>25616874ugh, i get that they're a business and at the end of the day they need to make money but still...ugh. Then again that's what experimentation is for and posting the results for the world to see
>>25616948Pretty much, anyone that has a detailed dyno graph either owns a shop or their own personal dyno setup lol, never met a shop that will share their tuning secrets
>>25616956Like that dyno graph we were talking about earlier, that smooth torque line between 400 and 480 is nuts, no wonder they don't give out detailed sheets
what supercharger does >>25616695have?
>>25616965Supercharger with that much low end torque lol? It's naturally aspirated. All the internals are just fiddled with in wonderful ways.
>any AlpinaI honestly kinda want to buy an Alpina D10 just for the sake of annoying the stewards. It's a diesel E39 5 series and there's nothing sporty about it, but it's explicitly allowed so fuck you I'm parking my $10k hopped up turkmobile in the middle of your $500k midlife crisis chariots.
>>25614137Amgs arent sports cars they’re pensioner shitboxesI could park my entire collection there though
>>25614137‘mirin.Those 3.6 inline six engines are just superb
>>25614088My car has a higher top speed than a model 3 performance so yes it can be classified as a performance vehicle

>>25614088How do you do, fellow performance cars?
>>25614088TFW my old 02 Spec V and FR-S didn't make the cut.Luckily, I have an "any Corvette" to flex on the overpriced scrub cars.
>>25614088you don't think they'd be impressed by my zututu?
Cobra bros they're letting regular V8s in, we're out
>>25614125>no mazdabut the NSX can come despite being just a light low powered MR for the old one and a heavy pig fat mid powered MR for the new one. Basically this is a classification chart for normie fags.
>>25614852>why isn't any amg allowedbecause the amg a35 exists
>>25620968A 1985 Camaro V6 runs the 1/4 mile in 17 seconds. Pretty sure even the non-AMG A35 is higher performance.
>>25620955People with money occasionally buy a NSX to be alternative. Richfags don't care about triangles and off brand ford products.
>>25616960Smoothing 0 is a way to lie about your car's power. You usually end up with another 3-5 horsepower above what it actually makes when it peaks for just a moment. CF:STD and Smoothing:3 is the standard for comparing between cars, with the caveat that different dynos will give you different numbers.Mustang dynos are kind of the standard for comparing between cars since they tend to be very repeatable, both between machines and between runs on the same machine. They're not as useful for tuning though, since they're inertia dynos that measure power by how fast the car can spin up a weighted drum. You basically get a single pull through the rev range and that it. Eddy brake dynos like Dyno Dynamics or Dynapack are less repeatable, and have internal calibration settings you can fuck with to let you lie about your car's power, but they're better for tuning since you can set it to keep your engine at specific RPM with a specific throttle position so you can dial in one cell at a time.
>>25620743personally im a sucker for the 8th gen/s130 crown wagons. body on frame, live rear axle, na 1j ripe for boosting kek. saw a guy who had a supercharged v8 in his. no idea where it's at now though.
>>25614088I guess it qualifies, just don’t tell them there’s no supercharger.
>>25618279Doing pretty good
>>25614088>Lamborghini>any modelGlad they fixed this, I legit laughed seeing an Espada getting turned away from the Performance lot a few years ago. Guessing the list was originally made by a retard. Gallardos should be blocked though.

>Z34 is in>Z33 32 aren'tbuy why?
>>25614088my 260hp mustang gt could make it in See ya later losers, I am going to coolsville
Reminder that Goodwood was foundrd by a bunch of monarchs and aristocrats trying to LARP as car enthusiasts and the only reason why it keeps existing is because of the money they pour in it.
>>25626727That makes it based thoughpoor people never built anything without the funding and supervision of the upper crust
>>25627026poor people totally can build things, it's just that people are too pozzed to acknowledge how fun it would be to let sub-saharan africans participate in f1/the dakar rally with no outside supervision and a bottomless budget
>>25627026>fundingThey literally don't fund anything besides the spots on the floor where makers set their stands and the drivers that run the legacy racecars
>>25614088So a Neon SRT4 is "performance car" to them while an MR2 or a Skyline GT-R is not? That list sure wasn't made by a car person
>All this butthurt ITT from ricers that their teenage wet dreams can't make it past the Gentleman FilterGoodwood is for gentlemen, take your rice rockets to HIN or something.>Muh Camaro / CorvetteNobody in Europe who is poor has one of those.>>25625378>>25625363I will admit they got it wrong here too, FD RX7. These aren't rice rockets anymore, they are investments. They should have also allowed Jaguar XJS.
The Goodwood Performance Car List is like a cover charge at an upscale nightclub, keeps the riff raff out and lets the people inside have a good time without having to worry about retards ruining it for everyone.
>>25614895>>25625506Do you think they'll notice mine is the 4 cyl Celica version with a bit of a different front end?
I think they might permit me entry men.

>>25614088How do you do, fellow Raptors?
>>25627614Nice car anon, it's my attainable dream car, and yes I know about all the unreliability problems.
>>25627150>That list sure wasn't made by a car personWhoever made that list knows exactly what they're doing, the sheer amount of awfully convenient loopholes and outright concessions for expensive ultra luxury landbarges and hopped up mommymobile SUVs isn't an accident. Being able to troll the officials with low tier cars using the same loopholes is just an unintentional side effect out of laziness and probably a desire to keep the list short.
>>25614088I mean I have a classic 850CSI, so I'll park with the classics instead.
>>25614088How the fuck are they accepting the Nissan Nismo 370z and GTR but Honda is only allowed for the NSX?
>>25628256Thank you anon. I'd advise you try to get one sooner rather than later as they have passed the trough of their depreciation curves. Regarding reliability, I don't think they are unreliable as such. Under my ownership and according to it's history, mine has completely behaved itself. What you should prepare for is the costs of regular and preventative maintenance really. Biggest bill it had was £4k for a set of rod bearings and Vanos solenoids a year ago and my practice is to change its oil and filter every 5-7k miles with plugs and air filter every 10-12k miles. I'm preparing to have it's throttle actuators and injectors done in the next 10k miles which I expect to be £2-4k. That and fuel bills of course. Bottom line is it's a saloon with a racing engine like an old Lotus Cortina or a New Class Ti/SA but it actually has enough power to get out of it's own way. If you can get one, you should.
>>25628662thanks for the heads up, but I'm far from owning it, because I'm a poorfag slav, but still can dream about.
>>25614088>No Mitsubishi Evo>No Subaru STI>No Toyota Celica GT4 >No Ford Cosworth But God Forbid they miss the chance to park some rusty Lancia... What a load of pricks.
>>25630348Indianapolis Motor Speedway
>>25630348>>25630351Don’t listen to this guy, the IMS in question is a bearing on specific Porsche engines that if/when it fails can grenade the engine. It’s been fixed on most affected cars by now.
>Bristol FighterIm in
>>25628845I also like the choice of rusty Lancias. The non-street-legal Type 037 racecar is on there, but not the production Montecarlo that it's based on. Meanwhile, it has both the Delta S4 racecar and the Delta HF Integrale street car.
