I would love to do that but currently when I go too far from home the anxiety just gets worse and worse. Was on 2 day trip and it got so bad I started throwing up randomly and having my heart race for hours.

Most bikes are designed for people around 5'7" to 5'10". Cruisers are for shorter people and ADVs are for taller people.
Go on cycle-ergo.com and check your height against a few bikes.
>>
Why do most people wear back helmets instead of white in hot climates besides edgyness factor?

Black helmets are more common. Carbon fiber. It's simply what they have (handmedowns). Whatever other specifically reason.

Generally it's because it's what they got, and the people before them had it because edge. I own pic related because it was 66% off new in box carbon fiber and I was not about to say no to that. Left to my own devices I'd be a white-power ranger.

Also I guess Kawasaki is for pedos now because forced meme.

H2 doesn't even have 300, you gotta get h2r. Anyway, if you're a wrenchlet then yes h2r is your only shot at experiencing boosted power. However don't forget that chain/belt driven compressors are cucked and gay. Turbochargers are the way.

My friends took his R1 to dubai and fell off as he did a wheelie at 60mph
He miraculously survived but his whole left shoulder and arm is now made out of steel and he has a huge scar on his entire arm, the bones shattered to literal dust so they put in steel, he says he feels like his arm doesn't feel like his own arm anymore. The reason for why he slipped? There was sand on the street. I'm glad I don't even like wheelies

Not sure if this is the place to ask, but am gonna drop it here anyway.
Am 33 years old and just got a big promotion with an even bigger bonus check. I have been thinking about getting into bikes since I never actually owned or even rode one, just bicycles, but anyone who hears about it immediately asks "Is this your midlife crisis, bro?"
That shit aside, the one thing am worried about is securing my bike from niggering. Maybe it's my car mentality, but it feels that a car is a thousand times more secure and harder to yoink than a bike, how do you guys handle going out with friends for example, when they all park their cars in the barely lit parking lot and you have to leave your bike there as well? Am I just being paranoid because am new to this?
Also am still looking at local dealers and bike places, but I will take any advice you guys drop about what my first bike should be. Obviously not a vespa or a shitty moped, but not an off-roader or harley davidson either. Am not much of a speeding guy, nor am I gonna be roaming the country with it, but I do plan to use it daily for the home-work-bar routine when the weather isnt rainy.
Bonus points if the maintenance and mechanical side is noob friendly since I also want to get into that.

Have pic related since it seems to be the thread's theme.

33;Years old and you are still listening to all these drongos

If you get a bike as a teenager everyone tells you how you're a huge idiot and you're going to kill yourself what an idiot oh my God you just a child you shouldn't be allowed in your vehicle

If you're in your early 20s people go on about how motorcycles are dangerous you're basically just an organ donor anyone who drives a motorbike is going to die and deserves it blah blah blah

To lay in your mid to late twenties and people start talking about how it's time to grow up and get a real vehicle real I don't ride motorcycles blah blah blah you should buy this minivan blah blah blah by this hatchback blah blah blah spend more money on something less enjoyable

Once you get into your 30s and 40s you're told for having a midlife crisis and you shouldn't try new things when you're over the age of 29

At what point are you going to realize that all these people are a bunch of cunts and you should never listen to a thing any of them have to say?

People will come up with the worst case scenario and tell you that's definitely going to happen to you and when it does happen they're going to Crow about it forever but when it doesn't happen they're never going to accept that they were wrong.

How dumb would it be to get a 6.5k bike as a first bike (XSR700)? I tend to keep my vehicles for a long time, I really like this one too.
Regarding my decision, I need a bike that’s newer than 2004 and preferably not a 4 cylinder because I’ll ride a detuned bike and the 4cyls suck when restricted. 390 is way too flashy, I can’t find an old CB500 in a reasonable state, and modern CB500 are worth about as much as the XSR.
I really wanted to start on a relatively older bike but somehow during the last two years it became acceptable to sell non-road worthy pieces of junk for more than half the price of a new bike.

As long as they’re real jeans (i.e. denim) it’s fine. The fabric will hold a slide at 50mph for sure, maybe more. To me the whole point of riding jeans is the armor but that’s not really convenient for many riders.

You have to wear riding jeans for the knees, you instinctively fall on your knees when you fall to the ground, and when they break, it will take at least a year, maybe two to get them healed, and even then, they will never be the same and be very weak. Take care of your knees anon.

>>25474666
Are you a dainese stockholder. A regular quality denim jean will definitely hold a slide at 50mph on average quality asphalt. As others have said the knees are the vulnerable part.
Remember the video of that guy getting all 4 limbs ripped apart after sliding at 300kph? His jeans held up, his legs just slid out of them.

No, power. That resonator plus your airbox form a helmholtz resonator, and it's resistance to airflow will be effectively zero at it's resonant frequency. The modern tuning meme with manufacturers is to cam the engine for peak power, then fill in the inevitable dip in the midrange with resonant tuned intake and exhaust.
