It even weighs the same.Because a lot of places in the world don't have an abundance of cheap Corvettes like North America, but cheap RX8s are still a thing, and LS1/T56s are still attainable for not too many dollars in the rest of the developed world. It's a thought I've entertained, given the dwindling options in terms of good value RWD platforms. BMW E46 is probably another option.

In order to even mount the engine you need to spend $3k on a tubular front subframe made for the swap. The stock subframe cannot be modified to mount an ls, all that have tried have failed.

Has anyone here had experience with a turbo kit for the renesis? At some point, I think I want to turbo charge my rx8, but what should I know before I go all in?

>>25476429Don't bother, it's a waste of $6k and nobody sells just a turbo manifold for the renesis. it'll be a ticking time bomb, it's far safer and reliable to supercharge it. Then again for the price you'll pay for 300whp out of a renesis you could just swap to a 13brew with a single turbo.
Would an rx8 make a good 2nd car for hooligan shit? I have a c5 and it's great, but I miss revving the piss out of a slower shitbox.
