Reposting sine other thread reached max: Anyone have any experience with parking spots? I just found out I am not allowed to park my bike in its usual spot at my work for reasons unknown to me. Its where I see other bikes parked so I figured that was the best spot for it. Might I add that it is not in a full sized parking spot, not blocking any sidewalk or area with foot traffic. Bike is running like shit - power delivery at low revs is all over the place and it cuts out at idle. It had about a third of a tank of old (6~ months) fuel, so I topped it up with new, thinking that the new fuel and old fuel will mix and just run it through and hope for the best. Is this a reasonable approach and I just need to keep running it until I can refresh the tank again, or am I just prolonging the inevitable of having to get into the fuel lines and so on? It's an EFI bike; can old fuel affect injectors?
>>25473565I've never had any issues doing what you described with any engine. For stuff that's just a month or two I don't add fuel stabilizer but anything longer and I do. Most engines can tolerate a bit of shit. As long as its not doing anything other than having power delivery issues I'd just finish the tank and then add a conditioner to clean up the mess in the lines that gas left. Did you not stabilize your fuel before storage?
