I supercherged my car and i had alot of trouble with the ECU tuning. I got it running and i brought it home from atlanta last week. There aren't any tuners in ohio that have experience with nissans, only mopar and GMs, so they diddn't really have the scantools to read my car. My FI connectors were making a pretty poor connection, so the connectors needed replaced, also i had a bad coilpack on cyl#3 and a bad o2 sensor. That made tuning this thing hell for the tuner and i had to take it down to Z1 from cleveland on a trailer.

When i put the SC on, i made a thread here about it. >>24163264 I took some cool pictures and i want to show you guys. Dyno says i make 423 at the wheels. oil cooler reduces my highway crusing temps from 190 to 170. Pretty impressive!

I did the bunker tour at the greenbrier, and the tourguide said she met Todd Howard during the Fallout 76 launch party. She said he was about 5'8".

Kinda bummed i didn't get to see the mothman museum, but I did go on some cool roads when i avoided toll roads.

i love how the tour guide remembers his height just like that, poor Todd "the Toddler" Howard
>>
>>24872779
Why not TT? Thought that was more common for those cars than SC

If you go to bethedsda game studios, you can reach through the wall and access his entire inventory
>>
>>24872779
Pretty cool OP. You should definitely post some sound or onboard clips though. This board needs more OC
>>
>>24872831
i thought you have to go into 3rd person mode and move the camera around until you get the prompt to search his inventory

how much did the whole setup cost? What bits of the build gave you the most trouble?
>>
>>24873034
>How much did the whole setup cost
9000 for the supercharger, another 3000 in tuning, 700 for bigger injectors(750cc) and around 1600 to transport it, so just shy of 15K.
>What gave you the most trouble
the fucking shitty ass y-pipe silacone fitting that goes just in front of the supercharger. Shit took like an hour and ahalf to wiggle into place.
>>
>>24873125
oof, that little bit of black silicone between the turbine and the intake tubes? Hope you don't have to take it off for maintenance
>>
>>24873125
I would have just bought a new car instead

i probably could sell mine for 30K then put down 10K for a new 400Z, but i spent so much time under this car i'll never sell it. I'll wreck it at a race track first.

Here's the clutch slave cylinder bypass i put in the first month i got it.

warrior racing in vandalia could help you

I have a real hard time believing you couldn't find someone to tune this thing closer to home. Chicago didn't have anyone?
Have fun blowing it up on that Z1 tune.

There are some guys who run supercharged Z cars at my track in Colorado. Don't know where they tuned them though.
>>
>>24873869
Doesn't look like warrior does uprev or ecutek tuning, so they didn't even appear on my radar. Didn't even think to check chicago.

What does that do? Wrenchlet here learning a few things. I know what a clutch slave and master cylinder look like and where they are on the car but why would you bypass the slave cylinder? Anyways looks like you created a beast, mildly jelly of your skills, hope I can do something of that caliber one day.

ghosn era nissan was a nissan of cost cutting, so the clutch will suddenly ive out using the OEM design. This was a problem with the 350 too, and it looks like the 400 will have the same problem as the 400 is simply an engine swap and a digidash with a new body. Everything else on the 400 is the same as the 370 it seems. While i was in there, i also upgraded the clutch and flywheel in prep for forced induction.

When my dad retires in 2 years, he's been eyeing up getting a mustang. I'd like to convince him with a few track days to get a 2015+ GT ans i'd like to put a roots type on it for him after i locate a shop that knows fords.
>>
>>24874330
Get a twin screw instead on something like that a roots would be a waste. Roots is waaaaaaay inferior to twin screw
>>
>>24874330
ive had that shit replaced 3 times under warranty on my old g37 KEK
>>
>>24872779
So you bought a clapped out nissan and instead of doing rearch on a tuner, instead basic maintenence and fixing shit you slapped boost on it first? Holy fuck enjoy the rolling chassis in a year lmao.
>>
>>24874411
How is it clapped out?
>>
>>24872779
Op where'd you get the Genki stickers?
>>
>>24875926
acromann stickcers. they're a chinese company and they seem super dodgy at first, but they made my sun visor, and my GRP stickers, and they made them for a good price so i can't complain.
>>
>>24872779
>Supercharged japcrap
Why didn't you get something German that comes stock with a supercharger? Mercedes and Volkswagen have used those forever, and won't cause the engine to explode in a year
I even saw one supercharged Mercedes with almost 250k on the same engine, which translates to 750k on a NA engine
>>
>>24873125
>3000 in tuning
jesus fucking christ, even the most expensive shops i know in florida only charge $100 an hour dyno time and maybe $300-500 for a tune.
>>
>>24876110
found some on ebay from a chinese seller called decalbase for $22.

>>
>>24876484
Germans can't make cars. Every german car is engineered with complex solutions to problems that don't exist, and what you're left with is a 4000lb sedan because god forbid they make their sports cars coupes; that throws 12 different engine codes after 3 laps at watkins glenn. I take my car to the track at least 6 times a year and i need something that can actually hold up to track use. That's why i won't buy a german car.

German cars for for people who don't work on their own cars and have no mechanical empathy.

I had the option to buy a cayman for 23K when i bought my Z, but i figured i wanted to work on the car myself. VAG is an affront to mechanics. That said, i was Just outpacing this cayman at mid ohio in stock format. my tires had gobs more grip and i was pretty even on that long ass straight. I was only running firehawk 500s, They're a good tire but they're the cheap stuff. Not like i had advans or anything.

Remember, i bought the car with the intention of working on it. If i wanted something i'd just sit down and drive and leave as is, yeah, the cayman would have been a really good choice.

Too bad i couldn't find a V8 mustang with a manual for under 25K at the time. That would have been really nice to work on, and my dad probably would have enjoyed it more too. Always looking for some sort of father son thing we can do together. Might try again to get him up on two wheels next summer.

I'm just not retarded enough to dump 12g into a car that needed 6g of work prior.
