I ordered mine without badges

I hate fake M/AMG badges, but there's nothing wrong with debadging.
Normies don't know what most of those mean anyway and enthusiasts can tell from the exhaust, bumpers, etc.
I see about of e92s that look exactly like M3s for example, but on closer inspection an intercooler can be seen on the bottom of the bumper.
>>
>>24722926
As I recall only the M3s and M5s of that era have the side grille, so that's the easiest way to tell them apart from the regular models. That and M wheels are usually unique to the car, or at least the E60 M5 had unique wheels.
>>
>>24722930
In certain european shithes its pretty common for people to slap on 'M3 look' bodykits on their cars, including rims, wether original or replicas.
At least with e9xs and on they tend to be more costly so it's not usually a 320i or something.
An acquaintance had an 'm3 look' F30 328i that allegedly made more power than an m3.

Leaving the badges on your car is like leaving the badges on your hat or pants. How did people become so conditioned by advertisers that they think it's cool to leave the marketing material on it? Do you drive around with the window sticker still on too?

My parents left the advertising stickers on their tv
They were on the screen and covered up every movie. They got mad at me for trying to take them off
>>
i bought my car used and it was already debadged, but i don't care because it's a 330i from a generation where double tailpipes meant six cylinders, so i'm good. the people who care, know.
>>
>>24723024
Well obviously they got mad at you for trying to take it. They wouldn't want strangers with irrelevant opinions to think they were insecure!
>>
>>24723024
>fucking kek
>>24722926
yeah most cars in europe are ordered without badges anyway. And if a customer doesn't choose an exact spec they usually stay off

>>
>>24722876
I bought my car debadged by the previous owner, and I want to put the badges back on it, but just omit the "sport" badge.
I got the badges but I just can't be fucked doing the research and taking the time to measure everything perfectly, so I just haven't done it yet. I'd rather have no badges than badges in the wrong place or not perfectly straight.
>>
>>24722876
Why would you want badges on anyway? They're just shitty pieces of tiny plastic taped on anyway.
>>
>>24722876
I had a friend who bought a brand new boxter S, well he said it was an S. he removed the badging for it, added the unique S tip., when I asked him why his "s" has a 5 speed he said he didnt like the 6 speed and got the 5 speed instead.
pathetic cope

>drive a turd-o-diesel shitbox

>he..hehe…I bet he financed it for like 144 months…right?…hehe must be
>car pulls up next to my coal roller rust pile on wheels
>sweating starts to become more intense
>he drives past
>see his badges
>its a base model, with a 4 cylinder diesel, making just shy of 150hp
>release the biggest sigh of relief
PHEW Thank god it’s only a base model, and not an expensive trim. My poorfaggium levels were already going through the roof. Now I can cope better knowing it was only a 4pot diesel as well, just like my car. No difference at all obviously.
>>
>>24723018
Its the fucking model of the fucking car you stupid fad following nigger.
>>
>>24723198
Exactly this is most of it. Just fags. Trying to be ambiguous
>>
>>24723243
It's the model of the hat. It's the model of the tv. What's the difference?
>>
>>24722930
Yeah there are usually a few dead giveaways. I know on the E60 M5 they have different wing mirrors and upbadge fags never bother to change them.

>Normies don't know what most of those mean anyway and enthusiasts can tell from the exhaust, bumpers, etc.
Pretty much how it would be on my S65. Although the AMG body kit was optional on non AMG cars I think. The exhaust tips are a dead giveaway since the V12 SL65 and S65's had exclusive exhaust tips, not to mention the massive brakes and the engine sounds is very distinct.

Cousin used to work at a Mercedes dealership and he told me the number of people coming to trade in a C55 that's a badly rebadged four pot C-class hoping they wouldn't notice is incredible.

My car debadged itself when it fell somewhere between home and work at some point in the last year.
>>
>>24722889
That's the only time it's acceptable to debadge
>>
>>24722876

>leave model and trim badges
I actually saw someone do this with an accord
>>
>>24723024
I know people like this. I knew someone that kept one of those clear stickers on an oven display that said remove across it to the point it had long turned yellow and still refused to remove it. Like its going to protect resale value or something.
