Basically just want a long lasting truck at a reasonable price here in America. Does that just limit to Nissan and Toyota? Am I'm looking at the end of 2022 for reasonable prices?
>>24722131Base model F150
>>24722131You could get a 50s flathead Ford truck for $5-7k. Do everything you need it to and last a long time
Maybe a 2021 Maverick?
>>24722134>OP needs work truck>hey dude what about an antique>>24722131Get a 10th gen F-150 with the 4.6L V8
You just posted your best option. Get an old C10, either that generation or square body. If you absolutely gotta have ABS or an extended/crew cab get a GMT400 but that's the newest you should go.
>>24722881I second this guy's opinion. I'm working on an Action-Line and it's a nice classic, but kinda wish I had something 4WD.
>>24722131Nissans fall apart lmao
>>24722873>Get a 10th gen F-150 with the 4.6L V8100% this. By far the best deal. They are very reliable with cheap ass parts. They make truck bros seethe because of the rounded edges. I bought a 4x4 4.6 2003 model last year for a work/hunting truck. only paid like 3700. Some of the best money I ever spent.
>>24722873For an actual work truck this is your best option followed closely by a turn of the millenium Chevy/GMC 1500/2500 platform 5.4 or 6.0.
>>24723131Nothing wrong with a 96 and up GMT400 with the 350 Vortec either.
>>24723146Agreed, but (at least by me) these F150s can consistently be had for less than $2500. It's in the rust belt, so you're going to have to sort out the ones with frame damage from the ones that just look like shit, but they're out there.
>>2472310310th Gen F150s fold up like a price cut Chinese tin can, I’ve seen Chinese crash tests that turned out better than 10th Gen F150 wrecks.
>>24723204>>24723204I see people parroting this, but the truck was rated 5 stars for frontal crash ratings. https://www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2003/FORD/F-150/4%252520DR#safety-ratings-frontalSo people would grip about this, then happily drive a vintage truck or truck from the 80's? bitch please.
>>24722131Anything with a slant 6 they're nice durable engines that will outlive multiple transmissions.
