I'm putting away my diesel rabbit for the winter soon. Is there a point in filling it up full if the tank is plastic? I'll just pour in some additives and leave it half empty right?

Yes
Condensation is a concern.
>>
>>24710579
Why do you put it away for the winter?
>>
>>24710633
probably because salt

Diesel is pretty stable so you shouldn't need any additives just to get it through the winter. Might as well top it off though since it won't hurt anything, and then you have dramatically less risk of condensation or whatever else.

The diesel will be fine but the concern is water contamination from condensation. Fill it up and remove as much empty space as possible.

there should be a water separator on your fuel filtter
if there isn't my advice to is to buy a vehicle that isn't manuafactured by cost cutting retards
>>
>>24710638
if that's the case just go start it and let it get up to temp once every month or so
>>
>>24710579
>I'll just pour in some additives
Add a shot of black.
It should be fine.

Fill it up, put a treatment in the tank. Stabil, seafoam, whatever. Run it briefly after adding the treatment to get it circulated throughout your system. Feel free to add a lil more to the tank again afterwards. Do not do this >>24711010
Idling does not burn off condensation, needs to either be driven or put away.

are diesel cars worse in the winter than gasoline ones.

All 3 of these women fuck niggers, and only niggers. Also the last one is probably a man, knowing how the white world is anymore.

I store a car every winter: I put fuel stabilizer in the tank and like>>24715912 said let the car run so it gets all the way to the engine. I then put the battery on a trickle charger. That's it. 4ish months later I get it out and wash once the last of the salt has been washed from the roads by Spring rains.

The more diesel that is in the tank the less air that can be in there. Air contains moisture. Moisture is what you don't want in your diesel. So what do you think?
