That's how that happened. They can machine the rotors if there's enough meat left on them, sucks to bring it back to do that, but you must do it. The redneck way to fix this is to heat the brakes up with multiple hard stops, then absolutely slam the everloving shit out the brakes to "smooth out the bumps", this can have mixed results. You could also try standing on the (hot) brakes while stopped, maybe rolling forward to the "uneven" part and standing on it. This may also cause more uneven spots.

Common problem for drivers who don't know that you should use the break when switching between drive modes in most automatic cars. The legal rule is if you're passed that white line before it turns red you can cross the intersection. Least that's what I was told because some intersections will never ever have a real opening to turn left unless you creep past the line on green and go when everyone stops at the red.
