I think the article is missing what they’re doing. I would see this much more as a cbr650r competitor. They allege the R6 is missing this year because Yamaha couldn’t meet emissions and no one that was going to buy an R6 is going to settle for an mt07, they’re just too different in every way.
>>
>>23621697
Never buy used from a dealership. I guarantee that price doesn’t include “shipping fees.”
>>
What would you guys say is the best chain oil, spray, or dry lube?

Last I used was a Delray spray on and it seemed fine. But its warming up here and I want to do some quick services and cleans for my bike before I ride next.

That's really fucking shitty. I hope no one gets tricked thinking it's an actual replacement for the R6. I used to own an 07 and the thing is nowhere near a real sportbike, just a hoon machine that caps out at 130mph.

Any input on a Bluetooth device for music? Sena or Cardo? I can’t find anything on Amazon that doesn’t have people bitching about sound quality.

>>23621741
I have some "lightning ride" bicycle chain spray, is that good enough? I was planning on going out after work to like an autozone or whatever to grab a chain spray/oil. Idk if that bicycle spray would be worse somehow or for some reason.
>>
>>23621764
Haven't tried Sena, have the Cardo Freecom 4+. Can recommend, although naturally the sound doesn't come close to proper headphones.

I'm a 5'8" manlet and I felt cramped on it after a while. Consider a sumo like >>23621761 recommends, lanky. The stock suspension is also really fucking ass, but it's a nice hoon machine.
>>
>>23621765
I think bicycle chain lube is thinner because the chain doesn't get nearly as hot and doesn't go as fast. The stuff will just get flung off immediately and the chain will be bone dry. Get some proper chain grease. Brand doesn't matter, cheap is fine.
>>
>>23621745
My bet is it will be a little small. Just try it though.
>>23621753 older/ lower hp ones are. The speed twins and other big bore bonne's make good power. The air/oil cooled ones from 5+ years ago would be a solid starter. The bobber would be alright too.

Sad that I can't go on 200km trip to get the Triumph serviced because the front brake pads are literally gone

>>23621827
That is a v7. The new v7 and v9's use the same frame and engine. Just minor changes like tank, side panel, front wheel, handlebars etc.
If you are in europe there should be dealers. They just came out with a new engine which makes more power.
Here in america they are cult bikes since we have limited dealers. Love my guzzis though

Yes, but I'd still recommend being careful with it. The latest 900 Bonnies (2019+) have just 65bhp at the crank, but they still have tons of torque for a newbie, and aside from that, the weight of the whole thing would be another thing for a newbie to find difficult to handle.

Yea definitely poo land conditions, just close to 6000km on the Triumph and there's practically nothing left of the front brake pads. I was rubbing metal when I found out. The brakes felt like they were snapping on to and off of something on the discs and I didn't wanna take the risk of ruining the rotors. I just used engine-braking and the rear to get back home.

It's all my fault anyhow. I spotted that I had little left of the pads at the start of the year. I should've gotten pads earlier and fixed it. God, I hate hindsight.

I wish cities would stop using that chipseal crap.
They repave a road and it's a beautiful smooth ride for miles and then the next day they dump a ton of that shit all over, leave it on for weeks, and then tar/oil over it, making the shittiest uneven road possible.
FUCK.
Everywhere you read online says the same bullshit about it:
>After adding the oil and chipseal, a roller then flattens it, and then THE EXCESS IS SWEEPED UP
Bullshit. Pure absolute bullshit.
Those fucks have us drive and ride on it for weeks to flatten it so they can pocket the extra cash they could have spent on a roller and street sweeper.
Worst stuff to ride on and cars kick it up everywhere i.e. into you while you're trying to safely ride over it.

Rant over.
A wonderful twisty road full of hills was finally repaved after years and then they added that stuff to it a month after. What a tease.
They chipseal all of the city streets too, but usually immediately after repaving.
>>
>>23621975
guzzis have electrical issues usually.
they are a weird bike though. Most won't want them.
>>
>>23621982
F. My state is just slow at repaving, sinc ewe have so many streets.
God nevada had some terrible tar snakes. Ones here in CA weren't bad. On some of the roads at 395 near lone pine though... holy shit the whole tire would just woosh over the snake from one side to the other. Or just pull your tire towards it.

fuck bad roads. I hear chipseal eats your tires too.

He brought this dope Vyrus. Said he was touring their factory when Arch was first starting, trying to get some ideas on how to effectively run a boutique motorcycle production company. He was interested in the front end because, at the time, Arch wasn't sure what direction they were gonna go. So he asked the CEO to build him one so he could take an example home.

Says it feels like a car when you're braking. No front end dive. Still retains front end feel, though.

With competitors base price you can get the H-D full optional more or less.

sometimes it's cheaper just getting one already setup, you get people who just want to move it on when they're upgrading to a bigger bike for next season. But race fairings would probably be the most expensive part, see if you can get a 2nd hand scratched up set for cheap, then stainless lines, then depending on regs I remember you need engine case covers, chain protector bracket thing, front brake lever guard are mandatory some places now, everything lockwired, leathers, and yeah good tyres is the other big cost. Also some stands and tyre warmers because you have to remove the sidestand.
>>
>>23622565

I have 0.36 eur on my account (but no debts) and 5l of fuel in the tank (probably a little less because of what happened). Covid fucked my income hard, I can not afford to fix the bike until 25th because that's when I get money
>>
>>23622527
ah yeah i forgot some people I knew were against frame sliders and had this theory that the real big ones that stick out had a tendency when sliding off the track to dig into grass/gravel and start flipping the bike which really does a lot of damage, as long as you have good engine case covers it should be alright, just have to repaint your fairings and do the levers/bar ends if they break.

Yea this seems to be a common occurrence. Be aware that this does not fix the underlying issue of the R/R being undersized for the current draw, the placement next to the rear cylinder being retarded, and the wiring being made from spaghetti.
It's a shame because the Futura is otherwise heavenly to ride. The comfiest seat on a sporty bike ever.

It's almost as if Covid affects the same body parts that would ordinarily succumb to the flu or pneumonia. It's almost as if Covid is more likely to kill an infected risk person than the flu and pneumonia. It's almost as if Covid spreads more easily.

I am neither a fan of Trump or a Republican but... I 100% attest to the fact that irrational hate for Trump contributed more to the poor reaction to Covid in the US than anything else. I guess you were asleep for all of 2020.
No you can't go to work or go out to protest lockdown orders because you're killing grandma with the coof.

But rioting, burning down cities, and destroying property in the name of a criminal that OD'd in the presence of four cops is okay and doesn't do anything to spread COVID.

So called medical experts were saying that shit. Medical experts.. political hacks.

They said protesting lockdowns was akin to terrorism and that lockdown protesters were going to kill granny.

Meanwhile after taking a breath they said rioting, destroying cities, and burning autozones to the ground in the name of a criminal that overdosed in the presence of four cops was justified, okay, and wouldn't spread corona chan.
