Lack of parts availability makes this sort of reliable example pretty hard to upkeep where I'm at, also pretty much unicorn-rare. It’s all torque at 400+ nm @ 3200rpm so it can comfortably gap sv6’s at standing stops or rolling under 100kmph but any faster than that it starts to run out of breath. heat soak is a constant issue so you can only really enjoy it during the cooler weather.Cant manual swap it either as the 5 speed getrag can’t take the torque. Overall it’s plenty of fun for a P-plater but not powerful enough to get myself killed yet. I’ve got new wheels (RPF1’s) coming in a fortnight from now so don’t worry. Nice FG also, have you done any engine work to it? I wish I could try a falcon but my Holden fanboy brother would kill me.

6.5/10Interior quality is shit but I’ve owned a late 90s/early 2000s GM car. Slow but Insanely fun and hasn’t given me much trouble yet. Surprisingly capable for highway driving, did a 900+ mile roadie in it and it was quiet and comfy. Good gas mileage while not being a total slug on acceleration.Cons: Nightshade looks good but if I had to do it over again I'd probably get the XSE so I could have the manual, CVT is mushy after the launch gear disengages. Not much cargo space w/o putting down the rear seats. Laughable rear seat legroom. Standard audio not great and infotainment system lags.All in all though it's a reliable, capable, safe commuter and grocery getter.
