I have a k1200 rs with 22k miles on it. It burns a ton of oil and the clutch slips horribly in every gear above 5k rpm. I got it for free, I put new tires and got its fluids changed already. Is it worth fixing or should I just dump it?

Is riding relaxing? I don't really want anything fast and I haven't been in anything with 2 wheels since I was 10. Is getting a motorcycle license for a supercub worth it? It looks like quite the relaxing ride. Also open to suggestions for bikes similar to the supercub.

aren't those things automatic? it's a glorified scooter. get a real bike anon, it doesn't have to be a big one, but yes riding is super relaxing and is great to take your mind off things and just enjoy the moment.

It is relaxing after a couple thousand miles. First couple hundred can be stressful, but once you get used to the bike it's pretty chill.
Need to be vigilant that karen and jose don't run you over, or bamby whips out of the bushes.

Both of those are two strokes that are tuned for power with probably short gears for motocross.
I haven't ridden either, but would presume something like a yamah rd400, or some other two stroke.
For a 4 stroke it would be hard to say. Maybe a ktm 690 or something. Hard to say. Most bikes have longer gears than a motocross bike so they won't feel as fast.

I test rode the Ducati Monster 821 today and now I really can't decide between it and the Striple RS.
The RS is clearly the better sport bike and is flawless but the Monster is just fun as hell with how it delivers the power, is a better complement to my Z400, and I can get it at 0% APR for 36 months while the triumph has 1.99%.

Both bikes are so easy to ride too.
This is a damn hard choice because I'm pitting BRITISH SOPHISTICATION vs ITALIAN SOVL and there is no wrong choice

>>23437717
You could get a big bore kit IF someone made one for your bike. It might be easier to do a full engine swap if you can find one that is a similar size.
For instance old suzuki gs750's can be swapped with gs1100's with minor modifications since the frames are similar.

Looks like some sort of trap range/competition gun. Almost looks like an over under but at the same time looks like a semi.

Just watched the video advertisement and that thing is cool. I do have to say I can see it being useful on the trap range. A pump would work almost as well, but my double barrel is annoying when following the rules and only having 1round in the gun.

ktm's are alright to me. At least they made a big single cylinder. bmw is cool since they still make boxers.

Your only legal option is it ride a mates farm bike on their property.
You could try calling the people who organise the test and ask if you can demo a bike for an hour, or ask if you can do one day and drop out of you don't like it.
Also, you should know that after you get your Ls you only have 12 months to get your "full" licence (you'll still be on LAMS for 3 years). All up, you'll spend about $1000 to get your full licence (Ls test plus check ride plus full licence test).

Hey brother. When you want to move on from eco mode to a custom one the default settings are 40% torque, about 60% coasting regen, and 100% braking regen. This site has pretty much anything information you could ever need: https://zeromanual.com/wiki/Eco_Mode

You can also go to https://www.electricmotorcycleforum.com/ if you ever have any questions.
>>
>>23437630
I'm sorry
>>
>>23438583
I have to say I dig that wheel design that multispoke design is pretty cool.
Out of all the electrics I can respect zero the most. Least expensive, one of the originals, and has stuck around.

>>23438518
Good to know. I plan on going to see some snow today in a couple hours or so. Taking the cruiser because I don't want to deal with busa sized bike with narrow bars if I hit snow.
>>
>>23437630
I'm interested in these bikes, insane torque but the range isn't there. Also electricity is digusting expensive where I live (~3x the price US pays)

Also if I go down there a decent chance it'll be a massive fireball which is fun too

People can choose to goose it when they want. My busa sized 4cyl I tend to only do 3qt throttle at most getting on to the freeway. She was cheap to buy, and is great in long sweepers and touring.
I tend to go full throttle more often on my midsize cruiser (1400cc).
I can swap to my 125 and go literally full throttle half the time I ride, and that's fun too.

Teslas do not actually go well with green energy. Green energy is always variable, eg solar energy which is much stronger in the summer months. And you cannot store that energy in an environmentally friendly way with little infrastructure. Hydrogen pairs perfectly with green energy, as hydrogen is the smallest element in the universe. So the storage of hydrogen energy uses little infrastructure. A hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle actually cleans the air around it as it drives. EVs don't. J.D. Power rates Tesla electric vehicles as lowest quality auto brand in 2020 study. The lower the car quality, the lower the durability and the less 'green' that the car is.

A Tesla is heavier than a hydrogen car or a petrol car. As a result, it has more wear on the tires. These are the consequences.
The largest source of microplastic pollution in the UK — tyre wear
Pollution from tire wear 1,000 times worse than exhaust emissions
Phytoplankton Population Drops 40 Percent Since 1950
Plastic leachates impair growth and oxygen production in Prochlorococcus, the ocean’s most abundant photosynthetic bacteria
No O2 production = a dead planet
We Know Microplastic Is Harming Marine Life. What About Us?
Some of these chemicals are considered endocrine disruptors—chemicals that interfere with normal hormone function, even contributing to weight gain. Flame retardants may interfere with brain development in fetuses and children; other compounds that cling to plastics can cause cancer or birth defects. A basic tenet of toxicology holds that the dose makes the poison, but many of these chemicals—BPA and its close relatives, for example—appear to impair lab animals at levels some governments consider safe for humans.

So Elon shuts down O2 production, kills all the fish, and ensures that the next generation of humans will become a collection of deformed ones with serious health problems and cancers. I demand that he be locked up and given mental help.

Costs what $18 to put the R on your licence
>>
>>23438840
Do the bare minimum then. Realize that whatever you buy, unless it's brand spanking new, will need some fixes. As long as you aren't spending like 400+ dollars in parts fixing an old bike you should be alright.
Figure out what it really needs and just get that.

What is the difference between Touring/adventure boots and MX boots? Im just thinking of picking up a pair of tech1s
>>
>>23439250
MX boots trade comfort for protection, ADV boots try and balance protection and comfort.
MX boots need to beextra rigid so you dont break your ankle in the middle of nowhere but they're shit to walk around in.
>>
>>23439250
Pure touring boots aren't as tall as ADV/MX boots and usually don't have ADV/MX buckles. They may be insulated.

ADV boots are as tall as MX boots with fewer buckles (usually), less rigid/more comfy construction and often feature GORE-TEX or some other waterproof membrane. They'll have less insulation than pure road touring boots.

MX boots have a very rigid construction to provide maximum protection and lots of buckles, they're tall, and usually aren't waterproof.
>>
>>23439280
This

Touring boots you can walk around in all day exploring a new city, adventure boots are great for the stopping for a snack and waking from the road to nearby points of interest (I've hiked in my ADV boots when our touring Norway) and MX boots will leave you wishing for death.
