Ghost Robotics and SWORD International have teamed up to create a rifle-toting "robot dog." Called the Special Purpose Unmanned Rifle, or SPUR, the system adds a 6.5mm Creedmoor rifle from SWORD to one of Ghost Robotics' quadrupedal unmanned ground vehicles, or Q-UGVs.The SPUR made its debut on the show floor at the Association of the U.S. Army's main annual convention in Washington, D.C., which opened yesterday.https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/42717/robot-dogs-can-now-have-6-5mm-assault-rifles-mounted-on-their-backs
>>944710Oh yeah I saw a video of one of it's early prototypes https://youtu.be/0ympe4xZFwA
>>944710These things always remind me of Zuul from the original Ghostbusters. The government could put a rubber Zuul skin on one of the frames and add some glowing red eyes and then nobody would ever fuck with it.
Okay...how do I make EMP grenades that don't weigh a ton and don't burn down the entire block? Asking for a friend. For a completely unrelated school project with purely educational purpose.
>>944812Be sure to search "How to make an EMP" on google until the party van shows up
>>944818Neither do I live in your totalitarian third world hellhole nor do I use the products of your totalitarian mass surveillance corporations. I can look up whatever I want and you corporate slaves can do nothing to stop me.
>>944819Stop you? Who wants to do that? Nobody could tabulate your personal preferences and sell them to the web marketing industry unless you feel free enough to search for whatever you want. The illusion of choice is always better.
>>944812>>944818>>944819>>944820>What is shielding against EMP>Inventors of SPUR would have thought of thisYour argument has already been destroyed before SPUR has been deployed.
>>944812You really can't make an EMP much smaller than 250kg and will have a pitiful range and won't work against a robot that will be EMP hardened. You need to energize a large coil snd then blow it up with a shaped explosion. Good luck moron.
build one of these things and zap those robo dogs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIU8WZR9DNA
>>944837some thin piano wire would trip this up easy
>>944842Dangerous to your eyes!Microwaves heat up water in eyeball and even small pressure damages retina
>>944838You can actually make handheld directional EMP weapons.Anything that generates electrical arcs such as a Tesla coil can have a reflector dish put behind it and it will direct the EM radiation forward.I mean don't get me wrong, really what the trick is is you need a strong enough energy source to use it as a weapon because the strength of an electromagnetic field decreases according to the inverse square law...So basically every time you double the distance between you and a Target you need to square the amount of electrical energy you provide the weapon for it to be equally as effective. As you can imagine, this doesn't scale well at a distance but you can use things like parabolic reflectors to Target the energy and actually make a big dent in the inverse square law
>>944842>>944837>>944926>'Srimechs' in Robot WarsSelf-righting programming in it's locomotion systems; also sensors to detect any 'tripwires'They'll have thought of any possible countermeasure against their invention in the planning/prototype stage: thinking tactically. So it's '5D Chess' in RL. And not just ground-based systems: Drones. I'm thinking those in the RoboCop 'reimagining'.
But can it walk up stairs?
A tazer with a couple added capacitors will fuck this nigger up.
>>945096>A tazer with a couple added capacitors will fuck this n-word up.rat a tat tatuse yor taser with 100 bullets in you, human.
>>945068>But can it walk up stairs?it will just shoot the house or apartment up with 10k bullets.they are paid for by the taxpayer
>>945096Your wrongA Razer runs an arc between a charged anode and cathode. This isnt Looney tunes or Skyrim where touch a current sends it everywhere, this is real life. The electrical current of a taser will flow from the cathode, across the surface of the conductive metal body (that is of course if it's shell is not plastic) and back into the anode.Unless if you have an exposed electrical circuit somewhere on your robotic enemy, a taser won't get you very far.Now if you had a method of directing the electrical current through the body of your robot enemy rather than just across the surface you would stand a chance. So to do this if you could get your robot enemy to stand on a conductive surface such as metal grading or something like that, if you had a welding machine with the ground clamped to the same metal surface the robot is standing on you could try to send some electric currents through the body that way, and maybe you would get lucky and cause an electrical Arc between the grounded body and an electrical component, shorting out the electrical component
>>944710I already warned normies 25 years ago when programs like this were in their infancy. I was right.
They could do traffic stops. Execute anyone who doesn't come out of his car in 3 seconds. Just like real cops.
