“You are not a horse. You are not a cow. Seriously, y’all. Stop it,” the FDA tweeted last month amid an increase of people getting sick from the medicine.

In a brief video, Rogan told his 13.1 million Instagram followers that he returned home from the road Saturday night — he’s currently on tour and just performed a series of comedy shows in Florida — feeling weary with a headache.

“Just to be cautious, I separated from my family, slept in a different part of the house, and throughout the night I got fevers and sweats. And I knew what was going on,” Rogan said. “So I got up in the morning, got tested — and turns out I got covid.”

Rogan said he was now feeling “great” after “one bad day” on Sunday. After his diagnosis, he said he “immediately threw the kitchen sink” at the virus, and listed a litany of therapeutics and treatments he tried, including ivermectin, a medicine used to kill parasites in animals and humans but best known as a horse dewormer.

He also got monoclonal antibodies which is probably want prevented him from getting too sick, not the ivermectin.

Looks like you have to give up toothpaste, antibiotics, and vitamins in general since they are regularly given in paste form to horses and you wouldn't want to be seen as the type of person to use potential horse paste.
>>
>>921928
Get a load of the Big Pharma shill over here
>>
>>921930
Big Pharma hates vitamins, though, they have nothing to do with toothpaste, kind of like you snaggletooth, and unlike vaccines, most antibiotics have generics and are not nearly as profitable as something governments are throwing money at.
>>
>>921933
Ivermectin is a Big Pharma product.
>>
>>921956
Its a generic product that costs like 5 cents it is far less profitable than new vaccines governments are throwing money at.
>>
>>921965
No.
https://www.merck.com/news/merck-statement-on-ivermectin-use-during-the-covid-19-pandemic/
>>
>>921966
Even that press release clearly says that Stromectol is the brand name for the generic ivermectin.
>>
>>921970
It also says Merck makes Stromectol, but a different generic form of Stromectol is made by another Big Pharma company called Edenbridge.
https://www.merck.com/product/usa/pi_circulars/s/stromectol/stromectol_pi.pdf
The point is still that all forms of Ivermectin are made by BigPharma.
>>
>>921972
Yes and the point still stands that newly patented vaccines are much more profitable than old generic medicine any nonprofit could start pumping out such that there is no way big pharma would recommend old generics over new hotness.
>>
>>921974
>any nonprofit could start pumping out
No they couldn't. Merck doesn't license their drugs to any old non-profit.
>>
>>921976
Ivermectin is generic, they wouldn't need to license it out.
>>
>>921977
Why would anyone want to?
>>
>>921977
That isn't how it works. The formula for Ivermectin is patented. Merck has the exclusive right to make Ivermectin, or else rent it out to generic pharma companies for a fee. In this case they gave it to Edenbridge. Now only Edenbridge has the sole right to make generic Ivermectin and nobody else. Whether you take brand name Ivermectin or generic Stromectol, both are coming from a giant pharmaceutical company.

Store requires customers present pic of horse to purchase Ivermectin...

At V & V Tack and Feed, they normally stock and sell Ivermectin for use on horses. But right now, they're completely sold out of the horse dewormer, and store associate Shelly Smith suspects a lot of her customers aren't using it as intended.

"I had a gentleman come in, and he was an older gentleman. He told me that his wife wanted him to be on the Ivermectin plan. I immediately brought him over here, because at that time I had this sign hung up, and I told him this isn't safe for you to take. And he says, 'Well, we've been taking it and my only side effect is I can't see in the morning.' That's a big side effect, so you probably shouldn't take it," said Smith.

You need to prove to me that you have a horse in order for me to sell you this product because you should not be taking this product. This is not for humans to take. This is to treat parasites in horses," said Smith.

Dr. AJ Manship at Desert Pines Equine Center would concur. He doesn't recommend any humans take Ivermectin and most animals for that matter.

"It can have a lot of serious consequences in people and actually in some veterinary species as well, especially if the correct dose is not administered. In animals, we saw a lot of neurologic diseases, so seizures, coma, death if it's overdosed. A lot of people that own shepherd dogs will be familiar with this. They're very sensitive to this drug and it can kill them.

Ivermectin: A Drug Worthy of a Nobel Prize, but Inaccessible for Those Who Need It

The Japanese scientist Satoshi Omura has recently received the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine for his discovery of ivermectin more than 30 years ago. Invermectin is best known for its extraordinarily broad spectrum of activity against nematodes, the roundworms that cause a large proportion of the most common neglected diseases on our planet. It is used to treat millions of people at risk of contracting devastating diseases, such as onchocerciasis and lymphatic filariasis, and also plays an important role in the control of intestinal helminth infections. Because of its excellent safety profile and broad spectrum of activity, ivermectin is catalogued by the World Health Organisation as an essential medicine and is regarded by many as a "magic bullet" for global health. The effectiveness of ivermectin against many diseases associated with poverty makes it a candidate to be one of the next breakthroughs in global health owing to its potential for improving quality of life and reducing mortality rates in low-income countries.

Scince>your feefee's opinion crap.

There was a covid-19 drug study in Bangladesh a while ago where the ivermectin group produced some weird measurement data. The quality of that data is disputed, but with a little creativity and a horse doctor dose of ignorance it can be interpreted as conclusive evidence that ivermectin suppresses the replication of coronaviruses. Which lead other people further down the intellectual food chain to the firm conviction that ivermectin is the secret miracle cure for covid-19 and must be hoarded. That's all. It doesn't take many of them to disrupt the market and cause serious supply shortages for the horse doctors that actually need the stuff.

The FDA didn't say not to take ivermectin as prescribed by a doctor, though, only to not take the veterinary version from a pet or farm supply store because they want you to pay a medical shill to give a note to a pharma shill, so they can track your doses and report it to insurance to get paid.

>The formula for Ivermectin is patented
Ivermectin is in the public domain now which is why it is a generic drug, Merck only holds the exclusive rights to Stromectol, not the generic Ivermectin.

>brand name Ivermectin or generic Stromectol
You have that backwards, Ivermectin is the generic.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generic_drug
>A generic drug is a pharmaceutical drug that contains the same chemical substance as a drug that was originally protected by chemical patents. Generic drugs are allowed for sale after the patents on the original drugs expire.
>after the patents on the original drugs expire.
Generics aren't even available until decades after the original patent was approved, then the formula goes into the public domain and even if only BigPharma sells it, they are practically doing it at a loss compared to new vaccines with fresh patents and no legal liability which is why they are spending so much money on shills like you telling people it is only horse paste.

That's for Malaria, not for Covid.
>>
>>922463
I don't know about India, but in Japan it's a certain group in the medical establishment that pushes the drug as Covid-19 medicine. The government gives no support to that, the official position of the health ministry is "there is no evidence of therapeutic effects that go beyond the placebo effect".

The CDC is Americans. Americans have no independent personalities and no moral culture, they simply recommend whatever they're paid to recommend. Best imagine them as a race of half-automatic vending machines. You can easily make them recommend literal horseshit as Covid-19 cure yourself, all you have to do is offer them some money.
>>
>>922512
Malaria is spread by horses?
>>
>>922516
>To decrease the prevalence of selected intestinal parasite and malaria infections among US-bound refugees, CDC has developed presumptive treatment guidelines for IOM physicians and non-IOM clinics assisted by IOM operations. The presumptive treatment activities outlined in these guidelines should only be implemented upon request of CDC/IOM and are typically done at the time of PECs. All Middle Eastern, Asian, African, Latin American, and Caribbean refugees, with exceptions noted in the hyperlinked CDC Presumptive Treatment Guidelines, should undergo the following interventions at the time of their pre-embarkation check:

Pregnancy test for all female refugees from 15 to 50 years old
Single dose of albendazole
Two doses of ivermectin (if available/licensed in your country)

>In addition, refugees departing from sub-Saharan Africa should receive artemisinin-based combination therapy for malaria and praziquantel for schistosomiasis. All presumptive treatment should be provided as directly observed therapy and documented on the refugees’ – PDMP forms. Additional details on the presumptive treatment process and eligible groups are described in these links:

The only difference between the horse version and the human version is that there's a lot more sold per pack in the horse version.

Ivermectin is safe as fuck and this MUH HORSE DEWORMER is some of the most mindless, good little sheep shit that's ever been repeated on the internet. Even the recommended proportional dose is the same between horses and humans (and many other animals): .2 mg/kg

Besides this isn't about the overdoses. It's about Rogan taking the "Miracle cure" that isn't gonna do shit about his COVID.
>>
>>923693
>This study suggests, 'Acute Toxic Class' method may be used instead of conventional method to study acute toxicity of injectable preparations. Similarly the LD(50) of around 50mg/kg indicated a wide margin of safety (250x) considering therapeutic dose of ivermectin as 200microg/kg.

Stop repeating your propaganda you mindless fucking establishment simp. Bootlicking retard. A whole tube of horsepaste has about 6x the recommended dose for a human. You won't likely suffer any additional symptoms from injecting a whole tube.

>Not even your own sources says ivermectin does literally anything to prevent covid

More propaganda. Besides the 60+ studies including 5+ RCTs that do show significant promise for early stage and prophylactic treatment, there's even a paper out which determined experimentally that ivermectin is a protease inhibitor.

Protease is a family of enzymes that viruses require to reproduce. Oh and guess what: the new, expensive, patentable drug that pfizer is developing against covid? ALSO A PROTEASE INHIBITOR.

Now tell me, who would benefit from shilling against ivermect when a company is developing a drug which works on the same mechanism?

And you sheep swallow it right up.
>>
>>923750

Why would anyone ever believe politicians and bureaucrats should have control over healthcare ever again after this pandemic mishandling? I mean this was some real shark jumping on the fascists end here.

‘Bro, Do I Have to Sue CNN?’ Joe Rogan Rages at Network and Jim Acosta, Claims They’re ‘Making Sh*t Up’ About His Use of Ivermectin

>>

science has been completely politicized in this case just because of "fuck grumpf" idiocy, same with the lab leak theory that was immediately dismissed because "the ebil right" said it first only for scientists later to come and and say..."yeah.. maybe we should have looked closer.. now its probably too late" and basically exposing themselves with that as political activists first and scientists second.

>People point out they are baseless and have no actual proof of being true
>"SCIENCE HAS GONE FULL SJW!"

oh please the scientist literally said themselves they didnt want to look into the lab leak theroy because trump said it and they didnt want to be aligned with trump. that was literally their justification you child.

Source on that bullshit?

Yeah yeah, I'll take one person claiming shit about their fellows with a grain of salt.

"Scientist Says Some Colleagues Were Hesitant to Legitimize Lab-Leak Theory Out of Fear They Would Be ‘Associated with Trump’"

"The shift reflects how some scientists who previously avoided the topic or were quick to dismiss it are grappling with enduring uncertainties about the virus's origin, free from the politicization that clouded such discussions during the Trump administration."

Three of these four articles on the statements of the same person. The remaining one points out that people didn't feel the need to take the baseless claims of someone with a history of making them seriously, and even now animal leakage is still far more likely.

You really felt the need to delete the first reply?

>even now animal leakage is still far more likely.
Animal leakage in a lab perhaps.
All the theories are "baseless" and unproven including the "wet market theory" which doesn't have a shred of evidence to support it any more than a lab leak or something else does.

Anyone know why the people who diagnosed him COVID positive haven't been brought on yet? Or the store/doctor who sold/prescribed him Ivermectin.

I'm sure they would give him a future service discount for the publicity and it would help the community be even more stronk and healthy/fit.
>>
>>925241
Maybe there isn't enough money in ivermectin for businesses to pay him to shill it as a big influencer the way they do with other treatments like the vax
>>
>>925247
Ratings are ratings. Gotta keep the buz going and helping out the little guy seems to be Rogan's thing.
>>
>>925247
Charity is a christian virtue. Helping people with honesty is a good thing. Are you saying Rogan's material is entirely bought and paid for?

He's said that he just talks off the cuff. It's gotten him in trouble before. What is your problem with helping out small businesses and healthcare professionals?
>>
He said he was taking an anti-bacterial medicine to fight a virus…yet people want to argue about the semantics of horse medicine.

This dude is a funny fool. He is a court jester that some conservatives talk seriously.
>>
>>925268
Ivermectin is an anti-parasitic, not an anti-bacterial, and even if it were, there are in fact drugs that work against more than one kind of infection. Nitazoxanide is an anti-parasitic that works against the herpes virus. Azithromycin is an anti-bacterial that works against rhinoviruses.

The "it works on other things so it can't work on viruses" argument is an argument that is being run by idiots.
>>
>>922070
You're embarrassing yourself
>>
>>925295
It's anti-parastic and anti-viral and anti-bacterial (so overdosing on it might fuck up your gut flora).
More westerners should take it occasionally since parasites are way more common even in first world countries than we culturally like to believe.
>>
anti-vaxxer Rogan has much $ so he can afford Mono-clonal AB treatments and others.

Poor people like myself need to get the jab, as we won't get any expensive treatments.
So Rogan shoulda kept his mouth shut about what treatments he took.
>>
>>922084
Are you actually stupid enough to believe that ivermectin is only given to horses? Joe Rogan was prescribed ivermectin by his doctor, he picked it up at a pharmacy, and it's in pill form. It's an FDA approved human medication. Anyone calling it horse medicine is either a moron or intentionally misleading people.
>>
>>922140
You aren't qualified to discuss this topic. Many, many drugs have off-label uses. There's an entire field called drug repurposing where drugs that help with one disease are found to help with an entirely unrelated disease. The reason why there's interest in ivermectin in the first place is because a couple of studies suggested it might help.
>>
>>926859
all modern medicine is finalized/tested/used in animals BEFORE HUMANS
its part of the legal drug development system
if you want to see the next generation boner/cancer/etc pills/shots, look at what upscale vets/farms are using for their expensive top breeder animals

the problem is that people are shit with medication amounts and types, horse brand meds regularly KILL people because of their dosage strength, but because they are animal grade, they are CHEAPER, and easier to get without medical insurance
>>
>>922529
It's also been observed to have general antiviral and antibacterial effects, as well as effects on ACE2 which is particularly relevant to covid.
>>
>>923752
Bosses wife was literally prescribed it last week. Same for my uncle who's a senior vp for a fortune 500.
