This current shortage is being driven by the fact that everybody went out and bought a gun. I'd estimate about 80% of firearm purchases in the past year are by first time buyers.

Even the leftist antigun cucks went out and bought guns, and complained en mass when the laws they voted for delayed or outright prevented their ownership- even more so when they realized all of the loopholes and myths about buying a gun being easy, that they believed were real, were in fact not real.

How does a SSN cause the government to confiscate me or my guns or inform the feds I own guns? A registry was used in NZ and Aus for confiscation. That is all a registry is good for.
