I've recently decided that if I'm ever caught in the middle of a plane going down, I will not just sit and wait for the inevitable crash. I'll wait until the cabin is depressurized below 10000 feet, put on the parachute I brought as carry-on, force open the emergency exit door and skydive myself to safety.

What I need to know from you anons is what steps can I take to ensure that I can make my daring escape without getting sucked in to the jet engines?

Exit through the aft most emergency door.
>>
I would simply jump before the plane hits the ground. Not difficult
>>
>>1945586
The extreme g forces would project you too the ceiling and floor as soon as you unbuckle your seat belt. So you couldn't possibly reach the emergency exit and be stable enough to apply the force required to open them.
Your plan would work if the plane is descending in a stabilized manner, but then they're no point jumping right?
>>
>not karate chopping the pilots and bringing the plane out of the nosedives, saving everyone
>>
>>1945586
You'd get beat unconscious by debris and gforces in the cabin before the plane even got below 10k
>>
>>1945629
Don't even need to jump, if you time it right you can literally step from the plan the moment before impact
>>
>>1945586
So you think you will be able to open the emergency door while the plane is tumbling through the air at low altitude?

Just accept that you're dead in that situation unless the plane is still flyable and a pilot manages to stabilise it
>>
>>1945730
g forces shouldn't be a problem if it's a nosedive
i'm not sure how most planes go down, but i dont think they generally go down in a way that exerts a lot of gforce on the humans inside
regular passenger planes aren't capable of anything crazy

one of the problems with OP's theory however, is that you're going to have enough time
most crashes happen during takeoff or landing
the chances of a failure while cruising mid air are extremely low
>>

>but i dont think they generally go down in a way that exerts a lot of gforce on the humans inside
That's really a dumb assumption, and completely false. When the pilots are fighting to control a plane, or when it is spiraling down there are g forces all over the place obviously.
>>
I'm just picturing anon checking in for his flight.
"Any luggage?"
"Yes, just this carry-on" (holds up parachute)
>record scratch....
>>
>>1946689
problem is going through customs on arrival if anon didn't use it
>>
>>1945586
You would have to be really fucking good to have a chance. The only time I jumped static line my brain shut down totally and everything went black. Came to and started counting as the chute opened. That was two days training so you may need a bit more than that.....
>>
>>1946716
But if he uses it he doesn't have to go through customs, and he doesn't even have to go to the airport. If the plane crashes near his home he could even get home directly. That would be a significant gain of time.
>>
>>1946721
Skydiving plane pilots are required to wear parachutes, just in case one of the jumpers rips off the tail, or gets chute lines tangled in the tail.
>>
>>1945586
if I'm ever caught in the middle of a plane going down, I'm stripping naked and returning to monke for one last time. Nobody around me will be alive to tell the tale of me gorilla-ing myself from seat to seat and sticking my fingers into buckled and terrified people's ears and noses.

Airplane is a glorified parachute.
So instead of diving yourself, dive others.
>>
If a plane goes down gently enough to let you grab your chute, walk to an exit, open it and jump it would probably land safety even without any engine power.
A catastrophic crash however

>the plane flies from A to B, ejecting passengers closest to their destinations along the way.
Fund it.
>>
>>1945586
>bring parachute on plane
>plane crashes
>you're the only survivor because you brought a parachute on a plane that just happened to crash

I dunno bro, seems like one of those things that would pin on you even if you had nothing to do with it just because that's the shit they do that's also assuming you even make it off the pnae. I know if I was in a plane crash and I saw some cunt trying to leave with a parachute my only though would be getting MY parachute and escaping.
>>
>>1945586
You will need to first work out how to bring a parachute onto the plane, as carry on, as they are not permitted to be taken onboard.
>>
>>1945586
I would listen to what the plane had to say, and that's what nobody did
>>
the chances of that ever happening are too low for me to even respond to this stupid thread
>>
>>1945586
I doubt you'll pass TSA with that shit parachute
>>
>>1945588
what's this about? they lock the cabinets?
>>
>>1949861
>they are not permitted to be taken onboard
So they want me to fucking die, cool.

Fuck it. When they ask what seat i'd like i'll tell 'em the one next to the black box. They always survive crashes. In fact,
i'll hold the unit in my lap for the duration of the flight.
>>
>>1949973
Ikr? Why don’t they just make the plane out of the same stuff they make the black box out of? These engineers are smol brained.
>>
>>1949927
It's just part of the flying experience.
We're all in this together! All for one and one for all!
300+ destinies bonded together in the common purpose of getting to Las Vegas—dead or alive—to waste money on casinos.
I can't imagine flying any other way. Do you hate freedom and TSA inspections?

Parachutes are completely allowed as checked and carryon luggage.
https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/items/parachutes

You just have to worry about getting from your seat to a door while the airplane is bucking around in an emergency, and getting a cabin door open against the internal pressure, and
>>
>>1949990
why don't they put a big parachute on the plane instead of requiring passengers to bring their own?
>>
>>1945586
Everyone assumes that 'plane going down' involves it tumbling out of the sky.
That's really, REALLY rare.

Assuming it's passenger (you're not, say, the pilot), odds are high that most of the time they won't even tell you that there's trouble.

Now if you see it coming down and the order to remain in seats comes up, your best bet is to push past the stewardesses, make for the back exit with the parachute. Don't make it clear it's a parachute- or you'll have to fight off everyone else who wants your parachute.

Strap it on, get to the door, bail. Maybe grab the qt stewardess if it has a passenger strap or something and see if she'll suck you off.
