How HEAVY is your bike? Post a picture or there is no point posting a weight.10kg on the dot
8600g
12.8kg no bag no bottles
21lbs in delivery mule setup, 17lbs if in velodrome compliant race setup (no brakes, no rack, race pedals, no water, I still haven't gone to the track)
>>1914200>7.7kgHoly moly
>>1914201There's room for lower too by upgrading all the aluminum bits to carbon, especially in the wheels, but I'm not a stickler for weight and need reliability over performance. Only the fork and levers are carbon and the saddle is a heavy but comfy kind. Wind is the bigger problem here anyways
~17.5 and an actual complete 2x bike and not some fixie bullshit. fuck you i'm not posting a picture.
oh and that's with a size 60 frame because fuck manlets
>>1914211still angry about being passed by a manlet?
10.4kg
>>1914200why you use flats with a fixie? I understand needing to walk for deliveries and whatnot, but these days there are shoes that look 100% normal while having a SPD cleat recessed below.
>>1914236Poverty.
>>1914236I've rode with flats and Chucks since I was a kid, anything else feels weird, clipless and even straps on flats. I've had SPDs before but I didn't like them and gave them to a friend. The only thing that beats the comfort of Chucks is sandles.>>1914239Also this too, I'm poor.>What's the difference between a courier and the pizza he's delivering?>A pizza can feed a family of four
About 14 kg dry and without racks.>>1914236>>1914239If you're doing deliveries, sure. But if you're just commuting then why would you want to walk, work and do your errands in foot casts disguised as shoes?
>>1914253lmao u legend
>>1914254Get with the times, gramps. These are comfy enough to walk in, go unnoticed and allow me to use clipless whenever I want to. Compromises are a thing of the past and reserved for roadie masochists only.
>>1914256>comfy enoughThat doesn't sound attractive if your commute is only 8 km round trip and you're there off-bike for 8 hours, much less if you need to look at least business-casual. If you're doing more mileage and have less off-bike time I could see the benefits.Picrel is my spontaneous conversion to clipless pedals.
>>1914256Have you tried any other hidden clipless shoes like that? Was thinking of buying the velosambas a while ago. I wear these right now.
>>1914258Velosambas are more comfortable walking, but less stiff riding. Pick your poison.
>>1914257I understand you, but when I was commuting by bike, I'd carry my shoes in my backpack and change when I got there, since they'd get dirty and wet anyway. So I used a black MTB shoe like>>1914258 and changed to a business shoe when I got to the office's garage.
>>1914256Why are clipless people always trying to push their shit on flat riders. Bitch I don't want gay special biking shoes I don't care about my "attachment to the bike" or "pulling up on the pedals" I got enough shit in my life let alone a shoes specifically for riding my bike
20.5 pounds with lights and computer and mini pump, but no water bottle or saddle bagPlastic road bike (2x11 entry level hydraulic groupset) with plastic allroad wheels and 700x32 grabble slick tiresNo I'm not doxxing myself
23 pounds
>>1914289It seems like you're the one complaining here boyo.I just don't like working with the same shoes that were eating dust and grime for an hour.
23.25 pounds10.54 kg
I think this weighs about 26 lbs. I hate this frame.
8.62 kg after (almost) full overhaul, 1x and full hydro disc conversion. Without pedals of course.
24.4 pounds. Should get about 2 pounds lighter with new wheels and a proper groupset.
6.9kg of course. And no i wont post a pic of my pinarello because i dont take pics of my bike like a bikesexual.I only use it for training tho.
>>1914254How does ANY rigid bike weigh 14kg?>steeloh, of course>dt swiss "PEES" rimslol
>>1914316>Without pedals of course.WTF is this shit? If people are going to count the whole bike, why stop at the pedals? Why don you go>Without tyres, saddle and bartape of course.
10.7kg
12.3 kg
>>1914236Clipess is a complete meme and only uniformtards actually wear them. You are not fast enough to merit the 1% benefit gained from clipless.
>>1914262Yep make your bag smell like worn shoes, it's great bro.
i don't know and i don't care
>>1914337Everyone uses their own preferred pedals. Weighing bikes is a universal measure, kind of, and the pedals can throw off the comparisons. If you want to buy a bike and want to know its weight you will want to know it without the pedals. It’s common practice.
>>1914377Everyone uses their own preferred saddle and tyres to.
>>1914385Not to mention wheels.
>>1914386Don't forget the bicycle too.
>>1914366He rides a fixie you stupid fat cunt
>>1914412Straps are superior for fixed, mr. reddit.
>>1914445>reading from my rules of cycling uh huh and that sir is why you are a reddit xD
h;ow do I weight my biek?
>>1914469I weigh myself then pick the bike up and weigh myself again.
>>1914469luggage scale
>>1914473I find this awkward unless you have a long drop to hang the bike off. Maybe I’m just too short for this method.
>>1914469use a luggage scale to lift the bike off the ground, hooking around near the seator like >>1914471 stepping onto a bathroom scale then lifting the bike, then subtracting your own weight
>>1914458Cope bro. Not everyone has to conform to your outfit to ride a bike. Go tap dance down a hill for me, ok?
>>191419523.5 lbs/10.66 kg61cmPoseidon triton. 2018.
18kg / 38lbs
>>1914485>not everyone has to conform to your outfit>but everyone has to conform to minealso, clipless shoes with recessed cleats are a thing fatso.
>>1914509I'm 163 pounds at 6'1. How about you? If you're under 6 feet don't respond lol.
>>1914510 180cm 90kgs, most importantly, not a poorfag who can't even pay for fucking pedals kek
Between 7.8 kilos. with cages/pedals/no bottles/bidons/computer. Image crosspost from pybt.
>>1914522I mean 7.8 kilos, poor proofreading skills.
>>1914522Fucking sick! Wish it had silver components though, does that make me a retro grouch?
>>1914474Are you trying to weigh a Penny-farthing?
>>1914469I refuse to believe this post is real
31lbs unloaded, 39lbs with my daily bag.
>>1914520I tossed my look pedals out after I got tired of dealing with the faff of silly shoes for every ride. It's better to just grab the bike and go with no extra special boy prep.
>>1914660>It's better to just grab the bike and go with no extra special boy prep.This.
51lb worksman trike
>>1914546I-I am just small ok!
>>1914678Take a normal kitchen balance, place it under rear wheel, the under front wheel, add values.
8.6kg with pedals, bottle holders and bike computer.
>>1914907Twice the work of just picking the bike up and standing on kitchen scales but with the added guarantee that either the bike falls over because you aren’t holding it or that you get an inaccurate reading because you are. Do people really do this?
>>1914978On bathroom scales*
>>1914978It is as accurate as you can make it. I'm sorry that apparently you suck.
>>1914976But none of those are on the bike
>>1914195heavy as fuck and lol refugee island. god that's horrible. surprised to see no carbon bikes here, under 16lb, 8.91kg for me, but carbon cannondale super6 with rotors.had a earlier model that was just under 8kg with rim brakes. too many poorfags here
>>1915033>1kg lighter than steel frame bike with a rack
OP did a terrible job on the thread, even though it's a great isea and could be extremely interesting and informative, instead what we have is a load of bullshit claims.OP should have established some simple rules, for example photo of bike on scales, also that it should be ridden weight, so including obvious things like pedals but also anything else attached to the bike when ridden like bottle cages and racks. You can buy cheap hanger scales for under $10, of course like everything you get what you pay for, so f you want reliable and accurate readings you really should invest in something a bit better. Now maybe we can start over, /n/ threads tend to hang around for many months even unbumped, so plenty of time to go out get yourself a set of scales, weigh your bikes, take a pic and post them here. Then we might actually see something worth clicking on.
>>1915150What claims do you disbelieve?
>>1915150make your own thread then, faggot. or at least post according to your own rules
>>1915150>>1915164Answer me you coward
>>1914469>go to playground>attach bike to seesaw>balance using babies>weigh babies with normal scale
>>1915150Disregard what I said, I’m a faggot and suck cocks
around 24.5 lbs
>>1914673>>1914660I just keep my shoes next to my bike? Poorfag coping should enter the mental gymnastics olympics.
>>1915731We get it, you like men.
>>1915789>gay as an insultno wonder you can't affod pedals, you need to be at least 18 to post here.
>>1915726Put your saddle up fella it will be easier to pedal.
>>1915814That's a 140mm dropper post and it's pushed all the way down
>>1915899Very light for having flash parts like that on it.
19.5kgThat makes me the winner so far aside from the Workman tricycle. Pretty happy with that weight, it does everything I need it to do very well. A fancy titanium frame might be cool but I’m not chaining that up at the bike rack!
>>1915726Not with alloy 29” rims it aint
>>1916155good lord that is an ugly bike. handlebar/rack combo is super cringe.
>>1915150holy autism, it is just sharing your bikes and their weight, not a fucking contest
>>1915814nah just pedal standing up loldont even need a seat sitting down is for fat people in cars lol
>>1915033low weight is completely retarded beyond a certain point unless youre a racer
>>1914976>took the pedals off to save weight
>>1914497whats the deal with these tiny wheel bikes that arent folding bikes?ngl i want one rly badly just because they look fun as fuck to ride but besides that is there an actual purpose?i mean i guess compactness but then why not a folder?
>>1914236based and comfei havnt built a fixie yet but when i do im using modern mtb pedals like thatif they can hold my feet on while rattling a rigid 26er over rough shit then im sure i can skid with them just fine lolclips are a meme and straps are outdated
>>1914195i probably have the heaviest bike here but i dont like taking pictures of it because its ugly and havnt weighed itits a complete mess of a 29er hardtail i bought for £30 and put a bunch of chinese crap and a rear rack onlightweightness is a meme but this thing actually sucks its cumbersome as fucki dont know what brand it is because one of the previous owners painted it but i dont think its anything fancy and the fork alone probably weighs more than some of the bikes itt
>>1916595Low weight is always desirable. It’s the sacrifices to achieve it that can be retarded.
>>1916599They're called minivelos. The main thing is that the frames are way stiffer and feel less "noodley", especially the handlebars/headset. On prolonged descents in particular, extended stems feel like they're going to snap. Minivelos can also be made to take a frame-mounted front basket, which is really nice. But yeah otherwise it's kind of a gimmick bike lol.
>>1915793People fixated on money are usually poor as hell bro. It'll be ok one day when you get a job you shitty neet.
>>1916599Cheaper than a folderStill smaller than a 700c bikeSturdy and stiff frame and wheels for hauling shit in a cityMostly a meme though
>>1914196Are you a manlet?
>>1916649well yeah the sacrifices make it retarded>>1916653that looks dumb but basedthanks for telling me what theyre calledive found some really cool looking ones on aliexpress pic relatedmy dream bike is a rigid 24 inch mtb but 20 inch looks fun>>1916964sounds pretty based
>>1916879this>>1916999>that tall ass seat tube>manletthe fuck is wrong with you are you 7 foot tall yet somehow extremely insecure about your height?

>>1914371honestly based
>>1914469purchase a lot of bikes and make them all the same, then find a boat of known buoyancy and throw bikes into the boat until it sinks, then use the buoyancy to determine total weight of all the bikes and divide by the number in the boat to find the single bike weight
