>>
When I see a grown man wearing a bike helmet I know I'm looking at a man ruled by his fears and insecurities. And when he sees me he knows that I know, that's why they seethe.

>>
I agree cycling helmets look terrible
We need a natural alternative , some thing trad and organic,.iron pill
Not a piece or brightly colored styrofoam
>>
>>1795037
When I see a man not wearing one, I know I am looking at a man who is more concerned with appearances than with practical matters, or in other words, a woman.
>>
>>1795050
Nothing to do with appearances, it's about comfort and the sense of freedom, not least freedom from fear.
>>
>>1795051
I have a 55 dollar specialized helmet and it looks great. You wear helmets in football, ear guards for wrestling, soft helmets in rugby, helmet for skateboarding, even a helmet to skydive.

Why die on such a stupid hill?
>>
>>1795063
Americans wear helmets in football, no other fucker does, and Aussie rules football is way more violent and dangerous, it might be that certain governing bodies enforce the wearing of helmets in sports, that's a different thing, holy shit the entire west is descending into faggotry. Evola was Correct.

Hard times make strong men
Strong men make good times
Good times make weak men
Weak men make hard times
...ad infinitum...

We are definitely in the weak men part of the cycle, and helmet cucks are the best example of that.

>Why die on such a stupid hill?
Been cycling since I was 3 years old, going jumps, tricks, mad downhill suicide runs, living life to its fullest, confronting my own mortality and facing down death without fear, without concern, living in the moment for the moment. I lost count of how many falls and crashes I had, broken both my arms, my shoulder, shattered a kneecap, cracked my head open more than once, busted nose, chipped teeth, I'm still here, still riding daily, still seeking out the most fun route between A and B, still laughing and enjoying every fucking second. If I die on my bike then so be it, worse ways to go, at least I'llk die free and without terror making a home in my heart.

Based. I'm one of the rare people in the world who rides a road bike in full lycra without a helmet, and it always makes people seethe and give unsolicited comments for some reason.
>>
Some of y'all are forgetting the real reason to wear a helmet: when you get hit by a car and die, the article about you in the paper is going to end with "he was not wearing a helmet" and be counted as one more example of reckless cyclists up to no good.

take the preride showerpill. Wash your hair and condition it. It's totally counterintuitive but getting showered and putting on the kit and helmet makes for such a choice riding experience.
Oh and take your helmet and pull out the squishy parts velcroed on, wash them with dawn, let them dry and put them back on. Itchy sweat pads equal itchy head and zitty forehead.
>>

>I can barely do 20% of that, maybe 30% if I was on a road bike. These people aren't human.

that's the stats for arguably the greatest climber of all time (not the greatest rider, climber). In the middle of the high doping era in his physical peak. RIP Pirata one of the GOATS.

Riding up hills takes practice. The more practice the better you get. By riding up hills and actively seeking them out and killing them slowly then quicker you will get better and better to the point you will surprise yourself and all normies.

But beware the mottos from 2 other Goats: Eddie said "Don't upgrade, ride up grades." Greg said "It doesn't get easier you just go faster."

Both are true.

No because the main variable here is cars not speed. Even when I was being super retarded and taking sharp corners at 20mph/32kph and flipping my bike, not once was I even close to hitting my head because I would land on my hands. Gloves are more important than helmets. The only way I could feasibly see someone fall off a bike and hit their head if they sharply jam the front brake at high speed intentionally. This is why dutch don't wear helmets because they don't have to worry about cars, I bet most still go above 20kmh/12mph.

Always wondered why stylish helmets weren't invented

>Aussies
Do you really think that anyone of any worth would want to emulate the Aussies? The rejects of the white race?

When I first moved to NA from the slavlands my parents bought me a departament store BSO (which I thought was a totally badass MTB at the time) and I spent my pre-pubescent days in the early 00's riding around the local hills trying to hit sick jumps and so on. The concept of "wearing a helmet" was unheard of to me or my family and I was very surprised that a strangely large number of cucknadians that passed me on bike paths would make unsolicited snarky remarks about where my helmet was.
The worse was this boomer that legitimately got offended after seeing me go down a hill and do a front flip after burying my front wheel into a whole I didn't see. I just got back on my bike, flipped him off and rode away.
Fucking wectoids, man.

(I now wear a helmet occasionally but only when I feel like pretending I'm in a race)

I get that, but it's from pedestrians saying "you should wear something bright!". I have a headlight that's always on except maybe in blazing sunshine, and my bike is bright yellow, how blind are you that that isn't enough? this is on roads by the way, not "MUPs" "trails" or "paths".
Interestingly car drivers never have a problem, and nearly all motorbikers I meet are dressed completely in black on black bikes.
even had some decrepid old fuck stick his walking cane out into the road in front of me, forcing me to stop, and bark "WEAR NEON" at me. I should have run him over, but then I'd have been in the wrong. the funny thing is these are the same people who screech about "I don't see why they need to dress up as a fluorescent condom"

randy is actually kinda hot despite being comically fat and greasy, I can understand why Lahey felt the way he did about him. This is now a Randy appreciation thread.
(yes I know they aren't real people but the way the show is produced makes you feel like they are)
come get me janny, you know this is better content than this dogshit thread.

I wear a helmet because the law says I must and the cops beat and harass cyclists for no reason so I think they will attack more if they have good reason. Will people from a distance think I’m wearing a helmet if I’m wearing, say, a Le Col x Strava cap? It’s bright colours
