You do watch Japan Railway Journal on NHK World featuring Kathy Cat, don't you anon?
No but if she has a penis I will definitely start. Is she the good kind of girl or the ordinary shitty kind?
An overenthusiastic cutie who presents a programme about Japanese trains, what's not to love?
I guess now that vicki hit the wall the community needs a new queen
Can they literally just upload to youtube?
this is just triggering my agp to nuclear meltdown levels

They don't have their entire program catalog available online and the only repository of it on youtube vanished about a year ago
Nathan Berry was cuter :(
There is still Takagi at least, he rly cute fr fr no cap
so tttt is train autist too, nice
if the private tracker anon could lend some invites...
Are they actually making new episodes regularly or are they still rebroadcasting shit from 2020?
New ones. I just watched one about snowploughs up in Aomori.
I miss the Russell Totten era...

seems like there's a new one broadcasting soon (I don't know every episodes name, so maybe it's a rerun dunno)
>Kathy Cat
It's Cathy Cat, my good sir.
NHK World is so comfy, informative, and trustworthy. What other countries/news corps are putting out nice English-language video content like this?
This picture in the OP repulses me but I can't stop looking at it every time I scroll past this thread.

I was testing you.
Most countries aren't across 200 miles of water from an ascendant communist superpower with a grudge against them. Need to turn the anglos into weebs so they might come to the aid of Japan one day.
Nah, I'm too busy waiting watching the trainwreck that is the hyperloop.
DW is alright. More trustworthy than whatever garbage news most Americans watch like FOX or ABC. Plus they tell you news about mainland Europe which many American and British news outlets keep quiet about (to cope for their respective existential collapses).
I think DW is nice as well. It's much better than France24, lol.
Uh, I know what happened the last time we had a German/ Japanese team up. The results are...mixed.
Love Cathy Cat! Thanks for introducing me to Japan Railway Journal, OP.

Did you like the new episode?
I really liked the Shiki-shima, it's a really beautiful train!
I also found out that Okuyama also designed the E235
The Kamome Shinkansen is indeed looking really unique despite the fact they had to keep almost all the same parts of the N700S, do you like its design?
That sounds like the script from the show.
yup, I'm trying to start a discussion about this new episode
I didn't see the new episode, however, I did view some older episodes today, along with my doggo. I'll watch the new episode soon. Cathy Cat is so bubbly and cheerful, she always brightens up my day.
nice! which ones did you like the most yet?
also, it's great to see they're both back in the studio, even though they're separated by plastic panels
>which ones did you like the most yet?
I liked the Moka Railway steam locomotive episode. I believe that was her first episode on the show? It was very nice
I agree, it's a really nice one! the Mooka station looks great
>I believe that was her first episode on the show?
yes, though it's still weird to see Takagi take the lead that much lol
Bump for Cathy Cat

me too, anon!
you obviously watched the new episode, right?
working on this project must have been a marvellous experience for the Tobu Railway workers, also I'd love to ride this train one day :D
what are your thoughts about it?
wait, people actually still watch that? you're better off calling out CNN or NBC

Cathy Cat is the sort of presenter you get who looks and sounds good, but isn't knowledgeable about the topic.
Anon has this right. Nathan seemed like he knew what he was talking about, and when he was "in the field", there was a lot mentioned in great detail.
Ryo is probably the only thing that's kept the programme from going brain dead.
i feel she is improving considering the trainwreck that was the first episode but you shouldn't learn that stuff on camera
in all honesty prof takagi is too autistic to manage the conversation on his own

apart from the strange but certainly original choice of colors, why a hydrogen train?
since there are (big) batteries and this power generation system, maintenance must be very expensive (even Takagi mentioned that JR expects possible future cost decreases and expressed some skepticism towards the train), why not electrify the remaining lines?
would it be cheaper in the long run?

also wtf Ryo what have you done to your hair!!
