In both sides of the track, there are feeder buses, one that goes to the CBD (pic related) and another that goes to a busy BRT Terminus.

Those end of the line feels.

There's actually a narrow gauge tourist railway that starts past the end too that actually goes near my house (bit expensive and timetable problematic to use that as a commuter feed-in though).

Building is an information center and will likely not even have seating. The platform will be down track because they built the station too close to an intersection and the train would be blocking it when stopped

My absolute favorite photo of the St James LIRR station I bike to use. One of the few stations on Long Island that arent consumed by the soulless concrete architecture renovations. Rarely are there many commuters, it's always a peaceful wait on a nice day.

and heres a pic I took of the station at night. The building to the right is the old ticket house built in 1873. There is a really nice cast iron heating stove and wooden benches inside. It's on the national registry for historic places.

The train only stops here a few times a day so they never bothered updating it. In the summer it gets all overgrown. There are some prettier ones on this line.

Is wachusetts just a platform? I would use my local station if I could by tickets there. Can you buy tickets in Fitchburg?
>>
>>1633090
Yeah, it's just a platform with a bus shelter that's way too fancy for its own good serving a shuttle to Gardner and a shuttle along MA-2A from Fitchburg ITC. You CAN buy physical tickets at Fitchburg, but Wachusett is fully high-level while Fitchburg (which is in desperate need of a rebuild, by the way) only has a mini-high. Thankfully for passengers, e-ticketing is a thing on the T for both the commuter rail and ferry, and has been for years now

Bromley North

I’m surprised it survived the benching cuts as it’s a 10 min walk to Bromley South (thank the LCDR and SER for that as well as for every other confusing station placements in the South East of England)
I know it used to go direct to London Bridge but now it’s a semi pointless shuttle service to grove park with no concrete plans to make better use of such a well positioned and beautiful station
Feels like shit man
