What's your point? While 060DA is not precisely pretty, it was actually styled along the lines of the times it was designed at. While just about any american road switcher follows the same layout and looks. To a level that without some intimate knowledge about which air port and grill goes to, you won't be able to recognize two versions of SD70 and that thing was produced for 30 years now and first model are nothing like the Tier 4 ACE models from today.

Don't mistake my point here. I adore the brute efficiency of US railroads. I actually think that of all the things americans do, freight railroading is what they are actually no 1.

But pretty those locomotives ain't.
>>
>>1598374
The curse was that Moscow decided what will be obtained where. East Germans had also their locomotive works yet they had to purchase Romanian locos (which were buggy) and Soviet locos which guzzled fuel (which wasn't surplus in DDR).
>>
>>1598676
Pretty much exactly what I was about to say. I'm American and like our railroads but pick any time in the last 50 or 60 years and 98% of locos on the rails will be variants of the same couple of designs, especially if you're confined to a specific area. British stuff is cool because there's a ton of variety and the different designs are distinct enough that you don't have to be an obsessed foamer to tell them apart.

>The first one has LITERALLY the logo of Euro Cargo Rail (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euro_Cargo_Rail) on the front and side.

>Anon tells us that they go to Egypt because of muh AC.

Seeing we deal with an expert here, do tell me: don't youropoor drivers deserve AC as well?

The AC unit means these locos don't fit inside the british loading guage.
>>
>>1603902
At least the 66s that roll in Germany (and therefore in all of mainland Europe) as BR266.4/247.0 also have AC on top of the cabs
>>
>>1603916
Different looking A/C on some in Germany.

I asked about youropoor drivers, not that british we-ain't-no-euro-scum. They can suck on their fish that's rotting in their warehouses because the customs paperwork wasn't done.

Also to be a bit on topic, here is some Czechoslovak power from the sixties...

It's an American design built in Canada you mongoloid. nothing bri'ish about them. It's essentially the class 59 with a different engine and traction motors, the class 59 technically being a reconfigured SD40. Cry harder.

side-splitting if true.
*siphons £12bn off to Serco for no reason* "you see, goyim, upgrading our crumbling 1840s infrastructure to modern standards would be prohibitively expensive!"
>>
>>1603964
You ride the short bus to your very special school don't you?

1. I corrected that
>destined for Egypt because of AC
is wrong as they normally do have AC in continental Europe. Also it is clearly a ECR loco.

2.
>But... but... bongs can't fit an AC on their gauge
Again I am talking about continental Europe, where ECR operates. So what are you still fucking with the bongs here?

Also muh bong design... made in burgerland. Good for them.

not a loco though. But it has reminded me how boring and shit the TFW livery is.
I've actually been on 153333 in real life and, yeah, that paint job is not good - if it's even paint at all.

the cab of the class 37 is something else entirely. you can tell it was built when they were still building steam engines, it's more like a submarine or something

Believe it or not, this is an actual locomotive and not a model from an N64 game.

Lulz. But what actually is the purpose of it being thinner in the middle? Like I understand with the Class 20 cos it only has a cab at one end...
