I'm convinced most people who consider this album overrated only know how to pay attention to the saxophone. When you get a feel for what everyone in the band is doing, this album opens up in a way that is pure magic. Same is true for other Coltrane Quartet albums like pic rel. Don't understand why so many people just want high energy technicality like Giant Steps or the free jazz era.
listen to giant steps, then blue train, then africa brass, then try love supreme again
