When I say diapershit, I need you all to understand that it's an in depth analysis on antiquated recording techniques vs the modern oncoming storm of digital software. I want you to take a hard look at your own recordings and their inadequacies and also a do a deep dive on Rick Rubin's discography every time I mutter the term DIAPERSHIT.

Why Mesa, or amp manufacturers in general, do not reissue some extremely popular (discontinued) models?

I'm kind of surprised that Mesa hasn't already reissued the Triaxis. The used market on them is hot and they still sell for like almost $2000 per unit.
>>
>>114705706
kek youre so fucking mad about it holy shit
imagine seething your ass off for half a month over another mans purchase to the point you have a schizoid embolism over it
>>
>>114705709
you can get a triaxis right now on reverb for 1k, no point reissuing shit nobody cares about
cannot think of a single popular amplifier that hasnt been reissued at this point, theres even trainwreck reissues from Dr.z
>>
>>114705729
Do you you know if you'll have to pay an import fee when they finally deliver it? Here in America sometimes our customs department slaps a tax on imports that you have to pay before you can receive your package.
>>
>still seething like a bitch
>>
>750$
>>
>>114705766
I don't want Triaxis. And especially not some fucking used Triaxis with 30 year old electronics inside. Would the most retarded purchase ever.

There's lots of amps that haven't been reissued and would have a market for them. For example for these fucking pedals alone that are based on the preamp found in the vintage Gallien Krueger 250ML
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-qT8b51pNs

Lots of people want that Schuldiner/Maiden tone, but that pedal sounds like fucking shit. Those 250MLs sell all the time on Ebay/Reverb, but GK doesn't issue any guitar gear/amps and concentrates solely on the bass amplifier/bass cab market
>>

i was relatively interested when they initially announced the ghost fret all those years ago, the concept of a half fretted/half non fretted fretboard is intriguing
but the ghost fret never got that advertised feature, now they dont even make that model anymore, all of their signature "artists" have left and to add insult to injury ibanez is coming out with a 30 inch scale baritone with the half fret/fretless design
truly embarrassing, glad theyre dying and i give it until Christmas before they close up for good

I like the silver face tones myself, but I recall when looking at amps years ago that the early 68 silverfaces used some of the same parts as the blackface amps, so you may be able to find something for around 1k on reverb of a silverface 68 that sounds like a blackface if you ask for it to be demod for you. Idk about tweed though. Id love to get a nice tweed amp with a telecaster.

set a metronome and just noodle and slide between them until its second nature, do stuff like descend the top 4 notes then move to the next position and descent the top 4 notes and repeat until you get through them all, just practice

would have to know the rest of the musical context, resolving on the major 9th or 2nd isn’t particularly stable so its probably some part of the melody that draws it there

>>114711175
For example in G major, in a I IV progression going back between the G and a C, it sounds so good and comfy resolving on the B

I'm trying to practice guitar again but I'm now realizing that I have a lot of trouble with my fingers.
The first joint from my hand outward on my pinky finger, the one closest to my palm, gets locked for an instant whenever I try to use it to press on a string; and that same finger flails around whenever I press with my middle finger.
Also, my fingertips are not at all apt to press the fretboard properly; they don't protrude at all past my fingernails so they don't have the proper shape to press the string so I'm pretty much forced to use the wrong position to press on the strings.

How do I fix this? Am I just fucked?

only my pointer finger is like this. it's also really sensitive. i can't even press buttons normally. ugh. i get like an autistic pain in my pointer fingers. i manage okay on the guitar. i thought i would never be able to use my pointer finger but i learned how to adapt and i can use it mostly fine now. it takes an outrageous amount of time and effort to learn the basics of guitar.
>>
>>114711814
>>114711871
So, it's just keeping at it until my fingers start to turn into what I need them to be?
My fingers don't hurt that badly when I push them in the proper position or get the soft part under the nails to press on a string. It's more like I don't have enough mass on the actual tip of my fingers to press on a string.
Should I just force it and file my nails until they are raw and I start to get accustomed?

>>114711834
I'm nowhere near based enough to do that. I also want to use my whole hand.

sirs! I need your help.

So I have this guitar book, this solo here claimed to be the one from Death Alley Driver. Which is obviously not true.

So what is this solo?
>>
that's bait
>>

what fucking shapes what does he mean?
does he mean that you can switch to other pentatonic scale or is he talking about continuing the same scale from different sound?

He's saying you can play the G minor pentatonic scale anywhere on the neck if you know where the notes that the scales uses are. Same with any scale.

You need strength in certain muscles to move your fingers correctly and hold them in place. When you're doing the most difficult stuff you can do, meaning you can do it correctly but only a few times before getting too fatigued, is when you build that strength. As for your fingertips they get harder and thicker the more you use them but I'm not sure how. I just know that if it hurts it's working.
>>
Okay, my rhythm is GARBAGE. I've been practicing chord changes with the metronome doing a 4 count. I hit a down strum on beat 1 and then start changing the chord. I don't watch the metronome I just glance at it periodically to make sure I'm in time, and I am. So I'd imagine I have the innate sense of rhythm that I need.
But then I get all the way to 120bpm and set it back to 60, intending to downstrum beat 1 and 3, giving me half the time to chord change. And I can't do it. I cannot hit 1, miss 2, hit 3, and then miss 4 while simultaneously changing the chord. I want my problem is less rhythmic and more that I'm uncoordinated, idk. Is it normal to be this fucking terrible? I'm not even good enough to call myself a shitty guitarist.
>>
>>114713106
same boat here. i loathe the metronome. i suck bad and it hurts to think about
>>
>>114712874
she made of metal you know
>>
>>114713143
I actually just tried it again after posting this and I can consistently hit a 1, miss, 3, miss & chord change at 50bpm. I guess we're all gonna make it.
I'm not thinking about the metronome. I'm trying to be the metronome and then I look over at it after a bar or two to measure myself and see if I'm being a good metronome.
>>
>>114713106
Stop chording your fretting hand and just work your rhythm over muted strings. The picking hand should be more of a "feel" than consciously having to tell yourself to hit 1 and 3.
>>
>>114713328
oh shit that sounds way harder than what i thought you were talking about. i can't even consistently follow the metronome when it's playing in my ears. you've got me beat at least
>>
>>114712382
SIRS, ANSWER MY QUESTION PLEASE
>>
>>114713309
thats hot
>>
>>114713358
I tried it. It helped. Also I just realized that when I progressed to 120bpm with the DxxxDxxx I didnt really progress because I was just waiting for the 1 count and wasn't moving my hand for the 2, 3, 4.
>>114713416
With my limited experience I can tell you that I had to take it from the ground up. Start clapping your hand every time your left foot hits the ground when you walk. Then listen to the metronome and count 1,2,3,4. Keep counting without listening and then listen and see if you're still in time. Then try to hit a strum on every 1st beat. You can't get ahead of yourself.
>>
>>114713665
metal is usually pretty cold. sometimes it's hot, like when i use my frying pan to cook eggs, but surely that's far too hot for intercourse?
>>
>>114713830
i would imagine her pale white "skin" is like a layer of silicon or something
>>
>>114713854
i never imagined it that way as a kid watching the show, but i guess it's a sensible thing to assume
>>
>>114713455
sorry i can't read music or play guitar for that matter, so i have no idea
>>
>>114713882
yeah theres no rivets or welds showing, would probably be warm and supple to the touch like hot plastic but not scalding hot in my mind at least
>>
>>114713905
i'm not an engineer or anything, but it seems like it might be hard to heat the silicon without risking it melting or something. there would ofc be a metal interior that heats up so the silicon gets warm, but without ventilation it would get too hot.
i'm sure there's a way to ventilate the heat though, it just might be kind of odd for her to be making fan noises and blowing air out like a laptop.
would be weird if the ventilation system funneled the hot air to be expelled from her butthole haha
>>
>>114713948
Kek you guys are fucking autistic
>>
>>114713948
Can I plug my guitar into her? I mean she must have some sort of internal amplifier for speech… What kind of tones can I get from a teenage robot?
>>
>>114713948
well, they make dab rigs out of silicon and the metal tips on those get literally red hot so it could probably withstand a good amount of heat before getting too melty
Id imagine the cooling system to be mostly liquid to avoid fan noise, like a hybrid of how apple integrates their chips/CPUs into the motherboards to reduce heat + liquid cooling
that is funny i was just thinking the same thing though lol like there has to be exhaust somewhere right
>>
>>114713999
i would imagine shed be better served as accompaniment than as just an amp desu
with the way deepfake voice synthesis is could probably sing in any voice and play any instrument you want
>>
>>114714009
that makes sense, the liquid would kind of be analogous to blood, except it doesn't carry nutrients or do any of the things that blood does now that i think about it. still cool to imagine she has veins with liquid.
>>114713999
i agree with the other anon, she probably wouldn't be such a great amp due to her petite frame and all. but she might make for a good multifx pedal or something if you're willing to include her in the bus. sounds impractical though

dude. learn how to fret your bad finger so it is comfortable. don't use the sensitive part of your bad finger. use the side or the pad rather than the very tip. that's what i do. if there is any finger you want to be bad it is the pointer finger because nobody uses it to bend. if one of your bending fingers was fucked then you would have reason to cry.

i tried using thimbles on my bad finger (like iommi) but ultimately i just needed to toughen up and get over it and/or learn to use my bad finger so it was comfortable for me. even typing feels like shit for my pointer fingers. it is for sure some kind of autistic hyper sensitivity. just deal with it man.
