Dare I even say better than My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy?

>inb4 losers say "lol kanye NORMIE"
>inb4 triggered pitchfork dipshit college hipsters go "nnoooooo MBDTF so good because uuuuuhhhhhh IT TALKS ABOUT DEGENENACY AND I LIKE WEED AND WASTING MONEY ON A USELESS DIPLOMA DUUUUHHH"

So, /mu/, are you ready to accept "Ye" as the fantastic album it actually is...

>great album cover
>fantastic one-liners
>soulful and personal moments
>brutally honest confessions of a man genius

hate black people
>>
Better than Graduation for sure.
>>
>>104163212
much less fleshed out than his other albums, great moments and forgettable moments. i like kanye too but its not right to compare this to his earlier studio efforts. full polished releases like MBDTF, etc
i wish every kanye album was a 10/10 etc, but when it comes to these small sort of throwaway albums we have to be honest... it's not "great".

ew you outed yourself as watching anthony fantano.

you're the faggot. WE GOT A BUCK TO BE BROKEN OVA HERE!
>>
This is supposed to be his "mental health" album yet TLOP does a much better job of capturing what it's like being bipolar.
>>
>>104163493
you need to stop airing out your dumb opinions. your opinions are so bad, your new job should be to just smd. your lips would serve a better function. C'MON BOY, AND GET YOUR BUCK READY TOO!
>>
It was ass. For his "most personal" album, it's strange how much of it wasn't even written by him.

It may be good for Hip-Hop but it is complete shit when compared to actual music.

Kanye has yet to release a bad album. Maaaybe 808s is only passable, but the rest? Great. And that one's forgivable because of his mom dying, and even at his worst the songs were sonically influential.

MBDTF is overrated, yes – the last 3 tracks just drop all the steam from the album, IMO.

It's hard to compare the newer albums to anything prior, given their brevity. But if KSG and Ye were made in the same summer (along with Teyana Taylor & Pusha T's great albums, and Nas' decent one), then that's super impressive.

I've been saying this since 2018. It's not as good as the other Kanye-albums, but a Kanye album has pretty high standards.
>>
>>104163212
Kinda wierd now with what's happened with Kim, but I always liked it
>>
>>104163212
it's ok but feels a little unfinished
>>
>>104163212
It could be better, but it has themes like Ghost Town and Violent Crimes and that makes worth to listen to
>>

based /mu/tant elitist
>>
Yes it is great. Lyrics are more relatable than ever and kanye is filled with energy on this one. No mistake is peak RnB and thought about killing you is perfect confessional
>>
>>104163212
It had good moments but college drop out late registration mbdtf and yeezus are all better albums. It's tied for fifth with TLOP. The rest are garbage especially the christcuck one and 808s
>>
>>104168056
Thought about killing you is musically trash only okay on the first two listens. That and it just scans as excuse making for his many public embarrassments at that moment
>>
>>104168232
cringe and wrong. It only gets better on relistenes. Most of Kanyes intros are grandeous, it's nice to have one that's more relaxing and honest.
>>
I like its best ideas more than MBDTF but so much of it not coming from Kanye himself makes it seem insincere in retrospect.
>>
>>104163212
>hip hop
shit
>>
>>104163212
Yes. It was great
>>
>>104163212
it's shmid
>>
It's great although short, but we got KSG as well, so, that's fair. Those two together an incredible full-length make!

But why was XTCY not included; fuck the 7-song limit – Teyana's had 8, didn't it? But XTCY was great as well :(
