Give me some songs that have the Y2K era (1998-2003) feel.

Are the first three really Y2K? 1996-1997 seemed like a transitional period.

My mom and dad bought that album when it came and played it in the car multiple times, and somehow didn't feel embarrassed or ashamed of it. Roses Are Red, Candyman, Dr. Jones, etc.

Y2K aesthetic started in early 90s, with links back as far as the 70s to ultramodernism

Can't talk about early 2000's/late 90's y2k without mentioning fatboy slim
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCDIYvFmgW8
Everyone knows them, so this is more of a courtesy mention. The sound isn't instantly recognizable as y2k but if you were alive during the late 90's you know it was inescapable.

in the late 90s and early 2000s they tried marketing electronic music to gen x as "Electronica" basically your daft punks, crystal method, fatboy slim, aphex twin, prodigy, moby etc.

I think a lot of this is what gen z is thinking of as "y2k" core

I was around 8-9 back then. I remember the radio playing this in the car, being lulled half to sleep as my dad would pick me up on the weekends after the divorce. I can't tell if it's cheesy or shitty pop anymore, because it's so gripping and melancholic to me personally. Maybe it was my age, I don't know, but this brings me back so vividly it hurts. It was both a painful and pleasurable time. I don't know an era that captures naivety of life so well as the late 90s.
Nearing wizardhood soon. Sudoku has been increasingly on my mind these years. Still won't give up, but as I grow older, I more and more I understand why ppl do it. It is not something that is irrational or stupid. Sometimes there just seems to be no other way.

I remember this being unbelievably popular in Europe. Probably on of the last eurodance songs to be popular before it died out.
