I don't get the appeal of progressive rock at all. So generally what is the point of making tracks on a CD over 20 minutes in length?

you can't name 5 prog rock albums with multiple 20 minutes tracks
people who say prog rock has long tracks never listened to prog before

Longer tracks allow for better build up and can have more things going on but most prog tracks are 3-5 minutes long like any other genre.
