>Millions of pony OCs>No chimera OCs
>>40553689pony is superior
>>40553689Pony cuteChimera ugly
>>40553689The only one who comes to mind is an OC named Shawn in a comic about pregnant Eris.
>>40553756>Both OCs have the exact same animal partsKinda lame, not very chaotic if every chimera looks the same.
>>40553787No, they have different parts.
>>40553829>>40553756Why is everything ugly as sin?
>>40553906He changed his style recently. The second page I posted is his newest style. Here's a cuter page.
Where did I put the bleach? My eyes need a rinse, the rest will be chugged.
>>40553689I’m working on some but justifying them is hard, first I need some kind of creature who’s actually making chimaeras for some reason, then I need to decide on what creatures are going into it before I just design something because they would be rather situational depending on how it goes down, then I have to design the character, and I need to figure out what the use is beyond just having an abomination of a creature, I like the body horror, and I need to figure out if I should lean into that like the chimera, or if they’d be a more clean blend like everything else. Technically griffons, hippogriffs, sphinx, and plenty of others are chimaera ocs too. But they’re pre grogar. None of Grogar’s except the single chimaera and the bufogren seem to be sapient so none of the especially monstery things are available unless they’re new.
>>40553689The more I look at discord, the more I realize he really is a noodle lol
>>40555548I mean if you think seprents and Chinese dragons are noodles
>>40553689Plenty of them exist, just search for "draconequus oc" tag on pony boorus.
>>40553756Eris herself is OC.If you do not agree then show me a canon episode with Eris.
>>40553951>cuterYour standards are lower than the bottom of the Mariana Trench
>>40556548What are you gonna say next? That Anonymous is an OC?
>>40554598I remembered, I have one design already, it’s in a different situation than the one I explain here. Not a new chimera, this one is very ancient. I’ve actually posted her before. Her name is Delilah >>40556528I don’t personally like the concept of any other draconequus existing. It’s likely most chimeras to ever exist were one-off and are now extinct. I think it’s clear discord is not of a species. The chimera and Cerberus are also the only ones of their kind.
>>40554598It's hard to make a character appealing when they're just a jumble of parts from other animals.
>>40556771It's doable, but rarely when each limb is different.
>>40557501Only discord and the chimaera are like that, the rest are much smoother
>>40556655Discord is not a chimera, he's a spirit.
>>40557585Well he IS a chimaera, who is the embodiment of chaos, that’s like saying Harmony isn’t a tree. (I guess it isn’t a “real tree”) Don’t think “spirit” so much like a supernatural entity, but more like “embodiment of” like “the spirit of the law”Magic responds to will, and I think these cases are like self sustaining eddies of directed magic in a body. Discord can be stripped of his magic and still exist. (Shouldn’t he come undone though..)I think nightmare forms are also the same kind of phenomenon. But unlike Discord or the ToH their physical vessel isn’t blank. That’s why nightmare forms manifest as a new separate identity that acts as an exaggerated and often one track version of the original. They’re created whenever somebody absorbs a huge amount of magic for a specific goal, usually a bad one. Midnight sparkle may be the “spirit of obsession” They can be and probably are more hyper specific, maybe rather than obsession it’s specific her magic obsession as a personality trait given a separate identity. Nightmare moon isn’t necessarily all envy or jealousy, or the spirit of the night itself either, it’s a perpetuation of her specific desires in the moment to a being with that specific purpose. Juniper’s vanity, Gloriosa’s desire to defend and control the campDaybreaker is weird because she doesn’t exist but she seemed like Tyranny itself. We don’t really see any other examples of spirits but I think perhaps the gift givers are a good candidateWhat it really means to embody a thing, to be the spirit of a concept, isn’t actually that clear, because the the mane six don’t seem to LITERALLY BE the spirits of their elements, they’re not magical will balls, and maybe that it all it actually is to qualify. I don’t think they are innate primordial sentient forces of nature though.
>>40556771They can be appealing as grotesque monster, but not as a regular character.
>>40553689>what is a tatzlpony
>>40558209I hope to find a middle ground.>>40558867I think a tatzlewurm is a magically mutant animal, it doesn’t seem to be a chimera, I guess a tatzlepony would be.Lamias are.Again a griffon technician is.
>>40559141Tatzle and tatzl are distinct.Ones an actual mythical creature: a cat snake, and the other is a mock meso-american take on a Mongolian death worm.
>>40559317I always thought there was an e in it but apparently it is just tatzlwurm Seriously what the hell IS this thing. It might be one of the strangest in mlp. Most of the creatures fit some category but this thing is fucking weird and unlike anything. I assume it’s magically altered or manipulated but it doesn’t have a clear direction it went with that. what did it start off as? I think maybe there might just be animals that don’t exist here in their worldAnimals experiencing magically boosted evolution wouldn’t realistically explain the amount of variation in the reptilian creatures for instance either, they’re NOT chimeras so they’re either even earlier or..??
>>40559464A burrowing Quetzalcoatl crossed with a Mongolian death worm
>>40559525>a Mongolian death wormWhat?
>>40560166The thing Graboids from Tremors and the Purple Worms from D&D are based on.Surprisingly they don't have any known relation to the worms from Dune.Giant sandworms from the Gobi desert, probably don't exist. They're in the same category as Bigfoot and Skinwalkers.
>>40560166>>40560392>Giant sandworms from the Gobi desert, probably don't exist.>sandworms... probably don't exist. If only you knew how bad things really are; know what I mean?
>>40560640What is THIS thingInb4 Texan bullworm
>>40561028The Alaskan Bullworm
>>40561028
>>40562643I feel down a cave like this in Elden Ring and then a royal revenant killed me
>>40560392>same category as Bigfoot and SkinwalkersThey're called "cryptids" you uncultured midwit.
>>40553689He’s not a chimera.
>>40561877Oh, I’m a fool.
>>40562643It’s not, it’s a creature
>>40563751He is made of 13 different animals
>>40564955Without seeing more of it, I'd guess it's a radula
>>40566247It seems like some kind of large worm with sets of teeth in it’s throat, not for chewing but as a set of gates, it seems like nobody realized it was a creature before because even Celestia thought it was a cave, and nobody who had gone down had ever come back, I guess it takes princesses who can teleport to get out.It reminds me of the exogorth but it’s probably not similar at all
>>40553689In my headcannon, Discord is merely one of many chaos creatures that roam Equestria. They would all be some sort of chimera and would have different personalities and abilities. They all live in the suburbs of the void realm where Discord lives. They cause chaos here and there but are not in search of absolute power like Discord was. If I ever manage to improve my drawing ability to a threshold level, I'll draw them. Cheers, Discord fans!
>>40553951>>40553756Its an abomination but it has some soul
>>40568218That chaos pocket dimension is pretty interesting honestly. I kinda assume discord made it himselfI want to know more about the smooze and how he and discord know each other
>>40553689I have an oc who has chimerism
>>40559464>tatzelwurm>not a cat snake
>>40571225That's cause it's a tatzlwurm, not a tatzelwurm
>>40571241Genius.
I meant it not sarcastically.
Chimera OC's, or draconequus OC's?Because according to the boorus there's 2365 pictures of the latter. My guess why they're not more prominent here is that they look too furry. Take a look at a few recently posted examples and judge for yourself:https://twibooru.org/3103037 (nsfw)https://twibooru.org/3086694https://twibooru.org/3083644https://twibooru.org/3079755If you meant actual Chimeras then I'm guessing because they're not sapient? At least not in the way ponies and the other talking species are.
>>40562643Rock and stone!
