Last night I had a dream featuring my waifu for the first time. She never spoke (and she was a lot horsier than in my drawing), but kept looking back to make sure I was following her as we hiked up a high mountain slope and into a snow covered forest. It was staring to get dark so we stopped to build a shelter under a few large logs. We worked together moving one of the logs above into place, Twilight lifting with her neck. I shoveled out some of the frosty dirt from our floor and walled off the most exposed side of our shelter using snow. Twilight then laid down on her side and I followed, snuggling up with my hands on her shoulder and belly. The last part I remember was warming my freezing cold hands on her fur. This was a truly life changing experience. Like I actually want to get my act together now and stop coasting in life. It motivated me to get a haircut and buy some new clothes today and I think I'm going to start looking for a new job soon.

I've been at this for hours, and I have started drinking, so I figure I should quit while I'm ahead. This is all I have to show for it. The idea is Anon will be holding the kirin. I have a shitty tablet, but I can never get my lines to curve like I can on paper, so I think this is my shtick. Despite it being what it is, I'm actually kinda proud of this one, the rump in particular. I was actually able to just pull that whole rear end out of my brain and put it down on paper without having to look at any references or anything. Funny enough, it was the also the first and fasting thing I drew. I wish it would all come out that easy.

And that is certainly a win. But it looks like you skipped the entire sketching process and just went straight for final lines. That's a big no. Until you are a pro who has drawn that pose so much he is sick of it, don't do that.Do a faint sketch first. Search for the proper forms with your lines. Then go with your eraser over everything. Use the small anomalies that remain to draw better lines. Repeat, till done. That's the pencil drawing workflow. In digitial we'd use layers and drop their opacity each time to achieve the same process.

Question:If I want to draw art that is (at least somewhat) show accurate, should I only focus on drawing back, front, profile, 3/4, and 1/4 heads? I'd assume, as with certain animated characters, the ponies are intended to only be viewed from these particular angles, with other angles being used only for inbetween frames, but otherwise 'illegal' to draw. If I made a drawing, it should logically be in these angles. as to remain on model, no? Or am I mistaken?

I did use the idea of having one big feather as part of the hair shape like skystar has, but I used it in a different way, was going for a sort of 2010s scene girl looking hair.Maybe I'm coping though and they really do look way too similar, I'll make some adjustments when I can get out of bed.
