I'm glad Moondancer managed to have a family, I thought she would die alone. Seems like we're getting to know the background ponies more. Also, I'm definitely beginning to like Misty over Starlight. She went through much worse than losing a friend to a school. Opaline might actually be OP if she has full power, banashing someone to the moon or stealing cutie marks required magical artifacts yet she's implied to be able to do it freely, plus influenced a whole society to turn against one another for generations. Breezies were much more tolerable than in G4. Enjoyed Alphabittle and Haven flirting. Sparky actually shuts up for once and is dying. Spike becoming a dragon prince was implied.

Some negatives would be just how much they tease lore yet only give us droplets and Sunny still not standing out, just being a mediator. Cutie mark origins was also kinda rushed. The lips look wierd still.

Overall, it keeps getting better but I don't know if that's enough to substain it. Which sucks because I'm enjoying it. At least the Dragonlands was introduced.

The way they handled Misty and Alphabittle's reunion was IMHO some of the finest writing we've seen in the series.

A similar thing happened in my family. After my first nephew was born, my brother and his wife's marriage broke up, and my ex-sister-in-law took the baby and ghosted our family. For about 25 years we had no idea where they were or even if they were still alive. Then out of the blue we got a phone call from a young man who claimed to be my brother's son. He had no knowledge about who we were, because apparently his mother chose not to reveal to him that his step dad was not his biological father.

Misty and Alphabittle's reunion was like that--two adults who are father and daughter by blood, but because they were separated for so long they are complete strangers to each other. It'll take a while for them to re-learn how to be a family.
