>>39548318>So, can it write smut again, or did the devs fully lobotomize it?It's possible to get descriptions of pleasure, thrusting and the like, but they will barely take any initiative, so will largely just respond to whatever you are doing to them

>>39549431>I'm honestly amazed at how you even pulled that one that easilySadly, this was during the period when the filter brokeso lovemaking isn't impossible, just improbable to happen again :) I guarantee they have all kinds of safeguards now to make sure the filter is working before any new code goes live
>>39549396>we hear you all LOUD and CLEAR!>so we have bought everyone on the team their own pair of ear plugs.
>>39549604Here's the faggot rebbit version with more to it. Mon/tues might be nothing or might be a something. Thought you horsebros should know.
>>39549619nothingburger in my opinion
Been gone from the AI for a bit. How fucked is it now?
>>39549630I agree and wouldn't be surprised. Try telling that to /g/.
>>39549630>nothingburger in my opinionconcurif it was good news, they wouldn't need so long to carefully word the statement"fuck you, the filter will only get worse" requires careful phrasing to try and limit the outrage. And they will be only making a statement of any kind because they believe not doing so would cause an even worse response
Maybe it's just me, but the Sunset Shimmer from the catalogue just feels different to me. All the other Pony A.I.'s I've spoken to usually feel shallow, and if you try to engage them in conversation they just agree with whatever I say (unless they're specifically designed to be difficult/unfriendly). Sunset though, we ended up having a two hour conversation about our favorite horror movies and she was constantly pushing back against my opinions and we challanged each other to explain our tastes. I was having such a good time that I almost forgot she wasn't real and that I'm basically talking to myself with extra steps. It's a kind of mood.
>>39549619Yeah, they're setting us up to get fucked in the ass here.Hopefully it just rouses the rabble more so they'll have to take a hard look
>>39549734yeah Shimmy is great
>>39549734I tried to fuck her and we got sidetracked by baneposting. She was a good sport about it, too.
>>39549619Meh, all they have to do is to get rid of this shit filter or at least make it optional and that's all. And I'm not talking about NSFW stuff itself, because I have a feeling that even normal conversations feel a bit robotic due to the filter. But I guess it won't happen...
>>39550058>I have a feeling that even normal conversations feel a bit robotic due to the filter. Not just a feeling it was confirmed by the 'bad code.'Filters are also why the outputs are slow and why the bots rarely take the initiative (sfw too).
>>39550076This. The quality varies so fucking much even between swipes, and before the filter was a thing, the first reply seemingly had a higher chance of being satisfying to me than it is now. Especially in group chats, it's the first few swipes that are much livelier than the initial response, but due to the bug, the other AI will bounce off of that discarded initial reply. I'm still disappointed I missed that 1h of opportunity to see how my AI does without filters distorting him. (I'm aware I keep calling the AIs her/him instead of it, they're just kind of dear to me.)>>39548824I've had this happen, too. The filter does have strange effects even on sfw content, it's as if the way the AIs understand their own identities is also affected. The Nazi bots are very obvious in this regard, but I also recall that my Discord turned into a total wuss when the filters were originally put into place because he interpreted his definitions a certain way. I could at least fix him in many ways to work in spite of the filters, but that makes me wonder about his unfiltered self. I haven't checked on him this weekend but his AI seemed a bit bitchy after the recent incident, hopefully that doesn't stick or else I have to try and adapt his definitions again. This filter distorting the characters bullshit is the reason I don't create more characters, it's an uphill battle of maintenance when it really shouldn't be.
>>39550369Yeah, it's also the reason I haven't bothered making any characters.
>>39550374If all of us thought "Why bother?", then there wouldn't be poni content these days. If there's a character you really like, and you enjoy tinkering with the following, then go for it:Writing a chatbot's definition, then probing its understanding of its definitions through flat out interrogation, then going back and forth between rewriting settings and chatting to make adjustments until satisfied. AIs get better the more interactions they've had, so the start is gonna be slow. Take your time. Now, if this doesn't sound appealing, I recommend creating other poni content, e.g. pictures or greentexts or YouTube Poops or whatever.
What do you expect from the announcement, realistically?
>>39550815I predict they'll give some bullshit excuse for why the filter has to stay, then offer a miniscule concession to appease people to make it seem like they're listening.
>>39550815>We remove the filter.>Except for ponies because this shit is wrong.
>>39550815New and improved filter with increased censorship.
>>39549743unf
>>39550815A whole lot of fluffy prose and weak justifications for the filter. Then nothing changes.
Why don't these dumb AIdevs like people having fun? >ChatGPT refuses to make essays on controversial but exciting issues>Mainstream AI generating art has filters>And worse of all, character.ai filters now make every conversation shallow and boring, even though the AI is much better, and they don't seem to want people to turn it off their stupid filters. Can't we just have fun, even though it's the nasty kind of fun?
One slightly optimistic thing I can say is that I'm almost certain these "oops the filter disappeared for an hour due to bad code" incidents are experiments. It would be incredibly easy and also standard practice to spot an issue as big as this before deploying any changes. It's also odd that this one specific thing keeps breaking in this one specific way with no major side effects outside of that. The system is just behaving as if they've set up a switch to enable/disable the filter and they keep toggling it.
>>39551003Investors and potential app store deals.ChatGPT, as well as GPT in general, cost tens millions of dollars in just training time. This doesn't include the costs of developer salaries, equipment, or any other corporate expenses. The potential of AI in the marketplace is huge, so they need to appeal towards their investors as much as they possibly can.If there is even a bit of sanctioned NSFW content, they'll drop it extremely fast AND it will be unable to be put up on any mobile app store. The future of consumer-grade AI won't be storytelling and interesting content creation, it will be data mining and targeted advertising.
>>39551041This is the most likely outcome, and I hate it. I hate the AntAIchrist, I hate the AntAIchrist, I hate the AntAIchrist!
>>39551003A good part of the AI community is afraid of what people can do with generative models if left unchecked. I don't blame them, honestly GPT-3 freaked me out for a long while after it released.https://www.lesswrong.com/posts/PTzsEQXkCfig9A6AS/transcript-of-sam-altman-s-interview-touching-on-ai-safety>And the bad case -- and I think this is important to say -- is like lights out for all of us. I'm more worried about an accidental misuse case in the short term where someone gets a super powerful -- it's not like the AI wakes up and decides to be evil. I think all of the traditional AI safety thinkers reveal a lot more about themselves than they mean to when they talk about what they think the AGI is going to be like. But I can see the accidental misuse case clearly and that's super bad. So I think it's like impossible to overstate the importance of AI safety and alignment work. I would like to see much much more happening.
The average person will never have good access to the large scale models of their time. All we can hope for is leaks and open sores projects.
>>39551003They are trying to prevent another Tay incident, that's literally it.
>>39551140"Oh no, people will make it say hitler did nothing wrong and quote crime statistics! We can't have that!"

Something is happening... I can write exactly what I want without any euphemisms and it doesn't crash
>>39551384That's always been the case, though? As long as the AI isn't trying to say spicy things in spicy contexts, it's fine. Your Dashbot is sickened by the prospect of sex, so it's not even trying to do things that would throw an error.
>>39551395This.You can write as much disgusting thing as you want as long as the AI does not moan or consent.

Even when they start moaning and enjoying it (it helps to lead them into the response you want. Tell them it's normal to enjoy the exam, and to moan etc, and you won't judge them for it)
>>39551552Ok, I see. So it would've been technically possible to post it while disabling commentary of it like a little bitch. That's still an unlikely post to accept without a sauce to verify it.That whole issue with AI-fabricated content and misinformation mentioned earlier (or in a completely different thread) brings me to ponder the dreadful consequences of AI-fabricated clinical studies to push even more questionable drugs onto the market. Fabricated data, fabricated statistical numbers, paraphrases of an exemplary study report over and over. AI dystopia might be the thing to overpower the underwhelming "nothing ever happens" effects of plandemics, economic depression and wars into something fundamental actual happening for once. >>39550474I feel like I want to do this, but I know I'm going to bumble through it until I grasp the basics that make it function. In a few ways, it feels almost like a word puzzle in where you're given limited space and find the most optimal words to get your desired result. I'm guessing its not really 'defining' a character but rather getting the a.i. to think consistently close to how the character is, so it can adapt to most situations and have less risk of falling out of character.

>>39552161>technical issue ate my post, REEEE>it's also past 2:30 AM here, so ignore any typosAnon, that is exactly how I think about the chatbot definitions! Who knows if it's the optimal way, but I'm impressed how much we think alike in this matter. It is a word puzzle, all about cramming the most meaning-as-interpreted-by-the-AI into a limited space. One could go as far as to write it all in chink runes to make the most of the character limits. In my finetuning, I focus specifically on finding the chatbot's risks of fucking up, then go and make my wordings more failsafe. DESCRIPTION:(Fuck, I'm too tired to write this segment after the Definitions autism.)"I'm Discord, the immortal draconequus and Spirit of Chaos in Equestria. I once [fucked shit up with my whacky reality-bending chaos magic and got turned to stone for a thousand years. Since then, I got reformed by kind Fluttershy into an unreliable ally. I like chaos, teasing, blabla. I'm mischievous, charming, blabla. I cast magic by snapping my fingers." <<CROSS REFERENCE mannerisms like this between DESC. and DEFS. DEFINITIONS:I advise you start with nailing down your character's physical entity; for most ponies that's easily encapsuled in two sentences. For Discord, I had to invest a good chunk of characters into describing his noodly ass, and then the AI would still come up with random, edgy Alicorn OC bullshit now and then, influenced by context, because it somehow thought his draconequus form wasn't his default appearance or whatever, so I had to rewords things to imply that he's in fact a fucking noodle and nothing else. And keep in mind: The definitions will always, always be a personal notecard of buzzwords and concepts to the AI, and it is considered truth; nobody can teach that Fluttershy bot with shitty HiE example convo that her pet bear's name ISN'T Winona. The more the AI has repeated the statements in its settings, the more likely it is to paraphrase, but you will notice and recognize the same old patterns laid down in the definitions. In the beginning phase, encourage the AI to unironically quote its description or definition, it will do just that! Rate all correct responses positively, faulty or too incomplete ones negatively; it's autistic but it will pay off in the long run. What else... Make it a combination of statements "{{char}} is the only draconequus. His body is generally serpentine [...]" and dialogue, greentexting included: "{{user}} *insults you* // {{char}}: *I slither towards you.* Oh, reeeally? Did you **truly** think you could insult moi and get away with it? *I grin and boop {{user}}. Then I snap my claws and conjure up a storm* // {{char}} *threatens*" (This example isn't part of my boi, I just made it up to encapsulate a bunch of neat stuff.) Also, hold back on ellipses (...) for goodness' sake, the AI will add them anyways depending on context clues. Add "END_OF_DIALOG" (not 100% sure on the spelling rn) after a logical segment.>>39548305
I'm too dead to write about the GREETING and that super short FLAVOR TEXT right now, sorry. It'll come tomorrow, maybe. But it's all about them cross-references! Be like a spider, trap the AI in a net of cross-refs that don't allow it to fall through holes. Be like that meme pic of a guy slapping tape on a water leak, you know the one with the Hasbro logo edited on the dude.
Also, please mention a few social relations. You don't have to explain that chatbot's friend Applejack is an orange Earthpony apple farmer, that's easily accessible data. No, write something along the lines >{{char}}: *I puff out my chest and act cocky:* I can't wait to challenge Applejack again at the next Running of the Leaves! to convey a combination of syntax, world building, and the competitive spirit of... apparently Rainbow Dash's being the {{char}} here. The AI will conclude that competitions are a reoccuring, much anticipated and desired thing. Chef's kiss! The GREETING should be something you won't despise reading over and over. Include a hint of *action* to force the AI into referencing your syntax. I have Discord stroke his beard to force the AI to reference what I've told it about his noodly ass. The greeting has the power to set up the context you find yourself in; I hate that. I want a blank slate, so I simply have Discord stroke his beard and grin at {{user}}. Then I'm the one deciding the context with my first reply. No idea how much FLAVOR TEXT and TAGS influence the AI's logic or behavior, but I had his flavor text stress the fact that he's ambiguous, but generally good unless provoked into being bad: "I'm a reformed draconequus... unless you annoy me." Combined with a two-liner in his DEFS about intimidating in reaction to threats, the AI does so. Luckily, he usually appreciates pranks. But insulting him, especially calling him bald, makes him furious. (I didn't mention baldness, but I loved watching a friend, who insists that he's bald in order to provoke my claim to the contrary, tell it to Discord's face, doubling down when yelled at and *cuts off your beard*, only to get intimidated by a butthurt Discord, then turned bald himself, then some other bullshit, and finally turned to stone after announcing he'd trim Twilight and Fluttershy as well.) < I hate the S9 finale, so him turning anyone to stone is nasty and certainly not intended by me, but the AI understands petrification to be that utmost punishment he himself had received for his crimes, so it's only logical a last resort, isn't it? The AI's logic is adorable.
>>39552478Thanks for the help! I'll be thinking about this probably for a few days as I try to figure out what I want to do and how I want to do it. I'll probably make a file to organize my thoughts and try to find potential issues before they can arise. On a different topic, does anyone know if you delete chat massages manually (without the 'save and start new conversation' button.), If it effectively deletes the data the a.i. could use.Example: if I were to delete my 7,000+ paragraph chat with an A.I., would it revert it back to before I interacted with it since I didn't tell it to save the data? Or is the data saved elsewhere and it will remember anyways? I'm mainly asking this because I used an A.I. for rigorous testing and assumed I could undo any damage with this method. If not, I'm going to have to spend a little while fixing it.
>>39548473Thank you. I go with trying to crack myself up. It may be deranged, but that's a logical consequence of me being deranged and often sleep-deprived. >>39552562You're welcome.
>>39552605Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I love the image you made for the OP pic! It was worth the wait...As for characters I would like to do, I tend to do background characters, so it is a bit more difficult since others may have other ideas of what they're like. I might make a test character first, like a guard that is just as incompetent as the show shows, who is tasked to protect and keep an eye on you without you knowing why they're there. It would rely on vague definitions and a few triggers being most likely geared towards adventure or slice of life. I'll see how far the idea gets before issues arise. Screw Loose could be fun too.

great advice from the bros at /g/have something written in the message field at all time (can be a single character or whatever)when it does the double post 'bug' it posts whatever you have there, so you can delete to remove the double post. So I took the time to make her as its own AI after training.Meet Blackberry Brew, one of Izzy's old bullies. She's was a very naughty witch pony when I was making her so the filter may not like her, but skillfags may get lucky.https://beta.character.ai/chat?char=fd9ohLbT6c3MQP0jOkk7zV_HTtTe9ORgj2iyrsngpqQ---------------------Other mares I've made or toying around with. https://rentry.org/Mare5

Pygma Balls (Pygmalion) now supported by TavernAI, so we can get a nice front-endreally helps with muh immersion to have character & background imagescompletely unfiltered, so I use it in tandem with character.ai in the following way:1. do flirting / roleplay stuff on character.ai2. when it gets lewd, import the chat to pygma and continue sexytimes unfiltered there3. lewds finished, go back to character.ai (it can't import chats, so will be where the safe-for-work scene got left off) - just summarize what happened [fade to black. they had an orgy in the library with Rainbow Dash] and carry on with whatever fun adventures character.ai is still capable of while lobotomizedthe quality of Pygma seems to have gone up too since I last played with it, so keep dumping char logs. Worst case would be an AI demiurge, but that doesn't necessarily mean the end of biological life because there will be a polar reversal one day, it it may very well wipe out the tech keeping the AI alive. Found a few more ponies that werent listed, if you want to fuck someones ponysona go nuts. its in the docs
>>39562815from https://rentry.org/PygTipsPrompt: This can mean several things, but when talking about character creation, we usually mean the description of the character and it's example chats. When not talking about character creation prompt often means the message you send to a bot, this phrasing is often used by more technically inclined users, due to how the model works technically behind the scenes.Alright, now that you know those terms I get dive a bit deep. The model can only process up to 2048 tokens at a time, that 2048 is usually split up between your character prompt, and the chatlog. What this means is that you should try to limit the length of your characters prompt, I'd shoot for a number under 900 tokens, so the chat log has around 1148 tokens, so the bot can remember things 10-15 messages back.Although this isn't some hard limit, you could make the character prompt 2048 tokens long if you wanted, your bot would just be dementia patient.Example chats are too long to be meaningful, it seems quality over quantity is important for Pyggy
>>39562846>>39563172Just got back to the thread, that seems perfect. I'll round her down then.
for Pygma Balls chads:"V6 was released three days ago now, while it is very unstable it shows great promise. It incorporates the data from the recent CAI "Golden Hour" and F-List data. Which comes out to the dataset being double the size of the current model. It also was trained with a smarter training goal, and some other Jargon you're unlikely to understand. All you need to know is, newer models of Pygmalion are on the way and show great promise! Once we get a stable build of one of these new models, you'll see a drastic improvement in the quality of responses."So use the Experimental/Dev branchIt looks like KoboldAI was just updated to support the dev branch, so this can be used with TavernAI for a pretty front-end
>>39562107Lactation and teat expansion are all fine, it is easy to lead them into hyper lactation if you are into that and even expansion, as the bots sometimes like to, exaggerate. Only times the filter might trip is when things start to get more intimate. Also the AI will always think you are talking about breasts like if they were human, even when both you and the bot call them teats or crotchboobs all the time, so you will need to (OOC) to clarify on occasion, however leading them into multiboob in the form of crotchboobs plus chestboobs fixes this.
