giving up zumidia was your mistake, you could've spammed enough divisions to hold a decent frontline and have 5-6 elite breakthrough divisions to do local encirclements, whittle down their army, and defeat them that way
now that you've been chased off the mainland, you have to invest heavily into close air support planes and figher planes, and support your landings with a massive swarm of those

1. get roughly 400+ CAS and as many fighters as you can manage
2. place them over the region you want to get a beachhead in
3. do a landing over as many provinces at the same time as you can, secure a port and a few provinces inland so you have somewhere to retreat to and recover your divisions' organization
4. immediately start probing for possible offensive operations before the enemy can amass their whole army, land the main part of your forces in the meanwhile

the main damage dealt in combat will be through your CAS planes, they will absolutely shred enemy forces as technology advances, hence your divisions should be geared towards staying power (meaning, prioritize increasing organization and defense over soft/hard attack) apart from a few built for offensive ops (again, 5-6 of those will be enough, consider a medium tank/mechanised/motorized kinda deal with high speed in order to facilitate encirclements)

rather than taking ground, your aim is to destroy the enemy army as much as possible via said encirclements and favorable defensive combat

I think the game kinda blows the metaphorical load on them early, and then the Stalliongrad War is a literal meme if they don't go in during the Great War. East vs West could be very fun, I think, but it still takes Grifonians like 3 extra years to unify and Equestria has nothing to in the meant. This would seek to rectify that.

This is also not complete still no Republic route and post crisis politicals, or foregn policy. I'm gonna make a schema of the routes.

Well this is the initial post war focuses. I felt that Harmonic Equestria would not stay on mobilisation for no reason, but you do get Veterans' Clubs, which should give you mil exp and a lot faster training times. Fate of the Changelings is wether you have Thorax take over, a flat out military governorate or split with the governorate being a buffer state. And the Shield of Harmony would be a new, powerful division/general accolade.

After that you get the crisis. I don't really think the referendum makes sense, especially since wars, especially won ones make the government popular, but i decided to keep it because I think I could do something interesting. The way it would work here is:

There exists an ideological populist movement of middling size. The communists try to rile them up with help and money from Stalliongrad. Even if they fail the referendum goes ahead, but then it just landslides for the princesses. if they succeed you get the diet. If the populists get riled up then it is possible to get the Burgeoise to jump in, getting a constitutional monarchy. And if they succeed get in, then the nobility may act, making a landslide for Democracy and the Republic(though that one is basically guaranteed all out Civil War, for reasons I will elaborate).

Before all of that Celestia can just tell them to shove it and throw the organizers in jail. This is the funny gamer path and even lets you not get Baltimare and Vanhoover uprisings at the start of the Communist war if you are fast enough.

Sun of the Night is a swap to Daybreaker however, the last chance, as it were, but that can be prevented if in the event you have Luna realize what is happening and go grab the Elements(and bearers) and prevent the fall, after which Celestia, still shit scared of Daybreaker, decides to take a century or two long break from the stresses of ruling and leaves Luna and the Mane 6 in charge (this is Fiducae Lunae). Being shit scared of Daybreaker is the main reason Celestia let's anything happen here.

Also, since Democracy being viable to be voted in is imo kinda stupid, the Popular Coalition mostly wins by psyopping the royalists into thinking it's a done deal and no showing for the referendum, plus some shady shit.

Speaking of royalists this is for the princesses victory. A Modern Principality is the centralization path, with military econ and political power bonuses, trying for a Prussian system. (This is Twilight's plan, since my headcannon is that she is not at all pr-democracy, to put it mildly). Break the Tide has stability, pop, war support and general economic bonuses, and is the Neo-Reactionary "Reads Carlyle once" path

For the Diet paths, Celestia tells Twilight to write a basic constitution, cause Princess of Friendship. The path and composition of the Congress is then determined by the combination, making six. Though really the paths after this are two, depending on wether or not you manage to turn the thing into a rubber stamp for the princesses, or if it is an actual body that does things, the difficulty of which changes depending on the composition. Generally the easier it is to make them rubber stamps the weaker their focuses and vice versa, though I don't really know the congress mechanic enough to say, if I ever make this

Also you can neuter them from day one, during Powers of the Diet, but if you do that then the Populists rise with the Communists in the Revolution.

Sweet and Elite and Metropolitan are powerful diets with good bonuses, but they will either empower the communists or may lead to the Seccession of the South respectively..

The Notables are a middle powered Diet, the diet coke version of Harmonic Reaction.

Commoners and Divided are very weak, basically rubber stamp diets, with the former being used to pay some lip service to soc dems before becoming a rubber stamp for the princesses and the later incapable of doing anything, so just gets forced into being rubber stamps by royal charisma, with the Princesses mostly doing what they want even in their lip service tree.

You get like 3 months after Draft the Charter to do as many of the side focuses as you can(like 3, probably), since someone will inevitable get pissed off by the stuff you pick for it through events.

Executive or Figurehead decides wether you keep Celestia and Luna as stronger leaders, or as National Spirits. The main political tree for them unlocks depending on who gets elected/seize's power, which is the main thing suppresing/appeasing affects. off the top of my head.

Stalliongrad probably needs a small tree change to match, because I feel that if they try a post Great War war they get anhilated. Here I have made it fairly inevitable, with Vanhoover and Baltimare rising up alongside them nearly always, and a populist North East if you mess up.

As for the Republic path, it doesn't work because everyone that made it happen wants a different thing. The ideological populists just assume that since you have democracy now everything will be fine and their job is done, not realising their folly until it is too late. Nobility wants an aristocratic republic to protect themselves from reforms, since they saw them as inevitable. The Burgeoise wanted a girondic republic that they could run and the Socialists have the previous two and are just laying the groundwork for a proper Revolution. A bunch of irreconcilables, generally not to mention the Royalists.

Though Celestia and Luna do leave because the former was shit scared of Daybreaker, Luna just goes straight to Chiropterra to bring them to heel, and join the Twilight led Royalist uprising in the Southern penninsula, which she needs some persuasion to lead. Though their industry is shit, they get a lot of very good troops, since army and veterans are mostly royalist.

Then basically everyone and their mother secedes, with maybe 1 of the factions besides the populists sticking by the republic and Stalliongrad invades.

And then to the victor the spoils.

After the base three paths here are done a small extra political tree is unlocked (Fiducae Lunae, one for both Royalist paths, two for Diet, depending on how real of a political force it is, and the Constituins gets one for whoever ends up in power, or an Alicorn executive, where the Parliament ends up neutered.

A foreign policy path would also unlock. The main things would be Reclaim New Mareland, Puppet and develop the rest of Equus, Crusade against Communism and Supremacy for free Wargoals and a choice between turn the planet into Austria-Hunagry of the Celestial Crowns or Bastion of Harmony turtling and spamming lend lease/Volunteers until East vs West

4. Do nothing for the next 3 years whilst they genocide their entire population into your frontlines.

The Empire's strategy is to just always attack so if you stack up rows and rows of infantry on your divisions it literally becomes a meat-grinder on their side of the war.

Just came around to playing Zebrica and the war against bats for that city-republic to the east is hell. But i think i figured it out, gonna try a different strategy tomorrow, and also will try to amass even more money before the one year deadline (i assume you get more flavor events and different outcomes for that foreign minister pony and his family after reaching certain amounts of bits, i got 55 million and 2 events with a moderately good outcome, i can definitely do better). All in all the new countries are pretty interesting, especially the bats. I am a moonfag and can't wait to try them out after i'm done with this game

tried to play with puppets since a lot of Zebrican countries force you to have protectorates and whatnot, and it's such a pain in the ass if you want the end result to look nice. AI border gores the shit out of the map years before you can intervene, and so you have to wage a war on everyone involved if you want to redistribute the land in a manner that will end up looking nice. Look at that Crystal Empire in Chiropterra, ugh.

Zarishat was okay. Her route made me more interested in Zanit Monzano, who already was my favorite from my previous playthroughs in Colthage. Sucks that her route's been delayed in favor of... Scientifids and Militarists. Are they any good? The impression that I got is that they're barely more than a failstate for Zarca.

I knew dick all about the game with or without mod so I played Stalliongrad and made my goal to kill Nova Griffonia. Took me a couple tries but by the time I finally won I had gotten the hang of a lot of the mechanics.

What is there to think about?
Kaiserreich will do the most they can to minimize the actual impact of these on the game and go on to add another retarded timer to a country that has no content, that just happens to slow down the game and blame the slowdowns on countries making divisions (which has been allegedly fixed by the division limiter)

Modern day will promptly ignore their exsistence

Red Flood has still not accomodated La Resistance last time I checked

Fuhrerreich will push the China release date even further (It will never come)

TNO will make it work but you will never use it since it's a visual novel with nazis

OWB will be hit severely and collapse, then slow down by about 90% when it's back

The rest of the mods will either fix themselves in a week because they have like three countries with content or never recover because the dev will be unable to fix what the DLC has broken

EaW team has been doing suprisingly well compared to other dev teams, hell they are one of like two mods that I know that have custom Intelligence agencies icons for some countries along with actual infrastructure layout as opposed to slapping half of the max value everywhere

But that aside By blood alone shouldn't break too much. At most plane technology will be broken, content for operation names unused but nothing more serious

Griffenmarschen is in the worst position for takeover in Herzland. You have no land border with the Griffonian Empire so you don't get to fight them during their first wave of expansion, when they're at the weakest. Your system of government prevents you from getting mutual guarantees with the Strawberry Duchy (always) and Feathisia (usually), the two strongest enemies of the Empire. If you're playing on Historical, Romau will join in the fight against you, and even if you hold the line, Feathisia will not - meaning that the Imperial forces will just go around your defenses and you won't be able to do anything about them. To top it all off, you can't be competitive on an industrial or any other level since you have to spend the first year getting rid of Griffenmarschen's inefficient ways.

You just have to stack the deck in your favor. Set some country to go down the Republican path, maybe two if you're still having trouble.

Method 1:

1. Download EaW from https://www.moddb.com/mods/equestria-at-war (It may take a hour if you are not an amerifat so be patient.)
2. After downloading, move the zip file to Documents/Paradox Interactive/Hearts of Iron IV/mod
3. >computer, extract
4. Go to the cracked HOI4 folder and open "dowser"
5. Below the play button, click "Add new playset"
6. Enter some random bullshit name or something
7. Click "playsets" on the left.
8. open the playset you just created if it's not open already
9. Click "add mods"
10. Click Equestria At War
11. back to main page.
12. Click play
13. Should open.

Method 2:

1. Create a paradox account https://accounts.paradoxplaza.com/signup
2. Go to the folder where you downloaded the cracked hoi4
3. Open "dowser"
4. sign in
5. Go to https://mods.paradoxplaza.com/mods/26042/Any (WARNING: THE PARADOX PLAZA DOES NOT HAVE THE ZEBRICA UPDATE BC NOBODY USES PARADOX PLAZA).
6. click "add latest version"
7. back to dowser, go to mods and it should be there
8. Create a new playset add EaW to the playset
PS.: Make sure HOI4 is in 1.11.4
