Hey flutterfrens, seeing as the majority of you seem to hate Putting Your Hoof Down, and this board hates Mare Do Well? Saw pic related in the catalogue and it reminded me of a particular aspect of Flutters I wish had been expanded upon more: Flutters' ability to talk to animals. I know she was most often surrounding herself with bunnies, ducks, beavers, etc. but you had outliers like Harry. Why was Beastmaster Fluttershy never capitalized on? The only instance of something even close to that was Flutters riding atop her dream-interpretation of Angel Bunny in Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep? Hell, even Flutters commanding a swarm of bunnies to overrun some finale-villain in a quick little comedy scene would be remembered fondly by the fandom I think. You can make the argument that she wouldn't want to put her animals in harm's way, but eh, I still think more scenes like that could've worked. We see Flutters use her special talent less and less as the show goes on anyhow, most often only whipping it out just to thank a passingby bird or something, but that's a different conversation at that point I think.
