Did anybody else order one? Have you gotten it yet? What do you think of the final product? Also, Pony Music Thread
Here's where to get it, if you missed out on the pre-orders:https://www.qrates.com/projects/21895That said, did they change the production/sales model on this one? I thought they were going to only press the amount that was pre-ordered and if you missed it, that was it. It looks like you can just add it to your cart and order one for yourself today if you want.
first remix from the movie that I've seen https://youtu.be/xAhNWNtvrqUI hope fandom musicians jump on some of Schmuckler's songs, they might not be as easy to sample but I feel like there's a lot of cool cover/remix potential

>>37681545Thanks OP!I actually ordered these back when they were pre-orderable but my credit card was denied and my dumbass didn't check the email until like a few months later when it was too late to repurchase them. I was beating myself up over it but god am I thankful for being able to get one now.
>>37681545I picked up a few copies during the pre-order. I guess I'll frame one. I had intended to flip some of them later, but if they're just available right now, I'll have to hold off on that plan.
>>37681545Got the email mine shipped the other day, excited to finally get it after nearly a year.
>>37681567The organiser said 15 more were added a few weeks ago. Maybe that's where it's coming from.
>>37681545Vinyls are a fucking scamImagine paying a premium for obsolete media
>>37682321Shh, just let the hipsters consoom.
>>37681545I preordered 2, still waiting for them to arrive. I'm looking forward to it, should be an enjoyable listen.>>37682321False, they're fun and neat. Also not all media is available online. Since I already got all the shit to play physical media, I might as well get other media I really enjoy physically too. Even if I could just listen to it digitally.
>>37682361yeah, 'cause that's a hipster setup in OP's pic if I ever saw one.
>>37682321Well, obviously you don't buy it for practical purposes. You can listen to TSM even on Spotify now. But it still has value as a collectible.
>>37681545>meme formathard pass
>>37682845I think some random is getting money from the plays on spotify
>>37681545I don't have a turntable but... I kinda want to buy this...
>>37681567>>37682280Thanks, just bought a couple. One of them might make for a good /ss/ gift

>>37685653how tf did you not see this before anonwe had several threads about this project and reminders and every time sgap came up somebody mentioned this project, and they did a second batch of orders
You guys gonna leave this thread to die too?
Posted about it the merch thread, but I'll post about it here too. The FedEx tracking for my TSM records says they were delivered earlier today, but they sure as shit weren't delivered to my house. I was really looking forward to getting one of the most famous pony fandom albums on record, but now it's looking I'll never get that dream fulfilled :(Still the off chance whoever got my delivery will drop it off at my house tomorrow, but it seems unlikely.
>>37687278hopefully, you get it. it'd be one thing if you just ordered it the other day and it never came, but being that it was a pre-order a year in the making, with all the anticipation and excitement and limited run and all that, I'd be pissed.I've had UPS drop off my packages at my next-door neighbors on more than one occasion, both times way late in the night. the theory is that to meet their quota, they just run down the list and mark them all as delivered, then fuck off all day, then before going home, run and drop off all the packages. I wrote an e-mail to complain about it, they replied asking for my contact info saying they'll get to the bottom of it, a few days later, I'm getting a call from regional something or other letting me know that they've looked into it and have taken care of the problem. maybe you can do that for FedEx.I don't know what's up with my house and deliveries. Lyft/Uber always wants to go down my alley. Door Dash once delivered my food to the house on the very end of the street to X5XX instead of X6XX. it's just a normal house on a normal street on the outer edge of the neighborhood easily accessible from the main road.
>>37681545>see this>try to buy it>card rejected>have to do a transfer to my other card>fucking 3 day long wait>sold outfucking fuck i hate my life, fuck banks and their retarded waits

I picked this up a while back. The track list and track order is a little weird, I might have picked a different set of songs:Side A:Twilight's Failure SongLove is in BloomThe Flim Flam Cider SongBecoming PopularMay the Best Pet WinArt of the DressBallad of the Crystal PoniesSide B:Find A WayRacist BarnThe Laugher SongAt the GalaMake a WishApples to the CoreBabs Seed
>>37688002the songs for the most part sound just like they do in the show except for "Make a Wish", which has an extended intro and an extra verse and a proper ending. There's something about listening to the studio-mastered version of the songs separated from the show. it kinda doesn't sound like them, though it kinda does too. I know some of the ponies used a different person to sing for them, but just playing the record, it's almost like buying one of those party CDs of popular tracks, but they're all covers and not the licensed originals. ...but this record is a legitimate licensed product.
>>37685653>made an order back in december>got an e-mail saying the money would be subtracted from my PayPal as soon as the order is confirmed>already filled in my shipping details, this should work right?>people have already received their copies and I still haven't heard a wordI'm starting to worry something went wrong.
>>37687467I am pretty upset about it, but I'll just have to hope it shows up for now. The delivery happened at 10:15am. I do live on a terrace, so there's a street next to me that has basically the same addresses except St instead of Ter
>>37688092Your qrates account should have your order under purchases, look there
>>37688190I made my order without creating an account (pretty sure, none of my e-mails are recognized). Like I said I filled in my address and everything, so if that's the issue that's really bizarre.
>>37681567Does anyone know the total number they printed? It was something like 206 orders on the first batch, then was there a second? >>37685866 +15? >>37682280
>>37685653I don't know about the vinyls, but new runs of fan CDs still happen occasionally and they look pretty okay.
no it FuCKiNG WaSNT REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>>37689146That's terrible anon. Makes me wonder how many other people didn't receive their vynils.
>>37681545Mine is still in transit. Can't wait to listen to it in a few years (as I don't have a vinyl recorder yet)>20 years from now, I will see this old Vinyl, listen to it, and probably cry
Any anons who received it can record? to hear how it sound
To all the anons whining about their vinyls not being delivered, this is just a part of the vintage experience.Back before the internet, you had to order limited run vinyls from magazines and the like, and it'd be a tossup whether or not you actually got the thing. It was so bad, most serious collectors would order two or more copies, just to make sure they got one.So yeah, tone down the bitching.
>>37690068Fuck you nigger, I did order two AND NEITHER MADE IT HERE. Also, I'm led to believe qrates sorts their backers by support since I ordered my two ages ago and my profile pic showed up as one of the few shown (pic related) on the page on devices I've never logged into now ever since, so I wouldn't be so sure about extras really existing>>37689810I was planning on doing just this :\
>>37690252>ordering both of them to the same addressWere you born this stupid?
>>37689810Waiting on mine to arrive still, but I have a PL-518 table with an Ortofon 2M blue and the Realistic 42-2101 meme amp so I can get a wildly good quality sample rip for anyone that wants to hear it.
>>37689146>>37689665False alarm, they just gave it to upstairs for some reason, even though I was in all day and my flat and floor number are the same so ... ?This looks and feels quality but I wonder what the remaster sounds like
>>37690916All well. Gladly it arrived. Crongrats anon!Do you have the stuff to rip it?
>>37690916The remasters were put up here:https://sgap.bandcamp.com/https://archive.org/details/thestandardmodel-2021
>>3768846050 more copies were announced on 19/05/2021
>>37692729does this mean i have another shot next year?
>>37693165Maybe? There hasn't been any further plans announced right now but it was also stated that this isn't *the* sgap vinyl and more could be done in the future.
I want a vinyl of dancefloor remixes to play in my sets.
I pre-ordered in August and has since shipped and will be here in a few days. In the meantime can some anon recommend a decent player? I bought this more for the collection of it but I wouldn't mind playing it every now and then.
Any other hardcopies of pony music out there?
>>37693985If you count those CDs via bandcamp, then yes there can be a lot
>>37694650>not making your own
>>37695374Yes actually! The fine gentleman who lives at my house number but on the street one over got my package. He called me earlier today, and I picked them up! He told me was trying to get FedEx to take it back, but had no luck in doing so. I figure since it was the super fast FedEx shipping, a courier who wasn't familiar with the area made the delivery. You still think they'd know the difference between a street and a terrace, but whatever. Pretty happy with the record, it sounds nice. Only thing that bothered me was the inner sleeve Qrates uses sucks ass since it's super static prone. That's my only complaint, and it's no biggie to store the record in a different sleeve.
>>37687668What, implying you paid with a check?
>>37695926nice, glad to hear things worked out alright
