>>36846827Did Hasbro take EqG away from us on purpose? Did they fear another happening?
>>36846915It wasn't popular.
>>36847107>It wasn't popularHow?! The Dazzlings' song is head to head with This Day Aria!
>>36846915EqG killed Monster High, its purpose was done. But now MH will have a reboot, Hasbro must bring back EqG to stay competitive
>>36846827I would hope that we can actually keep one of these threads going until bump limit again. I just wish there was new EQG stuff to talk about but there really isn't is there?
>>36847523Well, there was supposed to come another EqG book after the Pinkie x Rarity one. You know, the one where they save Sugar Cube Corner. I think it was either end of April or beginning of May.As for EqG itself, the thread did good when they incorpored other threads, like the Gloriosa fans, or the Sci Twi refugees, and let's not get started with the BOIs.Discussion can happen, you only need to throw an idea.
>>36846827Badass. I was looking for something like this so I could grab anything I may have missed. OP was not a faggot today.>>36847400Live action Monster High though... I hope Hasbro doesn't feel like they need to go that route if they do decide to revive EqG.

>>36849491ace thruster is the best meme to have come out of mlp

>G5 takes place in the G4 timeline>So much time has passed the Mane 6 have faded into myth/legend, and the tribes separated>Minimum 1000 years for something that drastic to happen, probably more but low-balling>Equestria now catching up to where human-tech was during G4>But humanland's been progressing at the same speed as horseland, and now the land of multi-colored horse folk is set a thousand years in the future>The dougs of G5 roam a cybernetic mystical dystopia where arcane equine influence still controls the neon-lit glow of their future, portals to horseland sought after commodities after rampant Equestrian magic left a permenant scar on the path of humanity's growthOr, possibly the apocalypse given how close we seem to it IRL, but either sounds kind of fun to me

So, we know there's groups on CHS, but there are groups in CPA? What about the city?
>>36853622I'm sure there are cliques / groups of individuals who clump together, but none as so pronounced as in CHS. CPA prides itself on uniformity and pushing everyone to be excellent in every field, I don't think there's enough room for creativity and expression for groups to be as noticeable. The Shadowbolt girls though definitely fall into one such group, they seem tight outside of school.City could have any numberr of them, we know the teachers hang out together as well.
>>36854868I miss her
>>36852929Last I checked, the lingering updates to make to it were the last couple of music vids (Let it Rain, I think) to drop to Hasbro's channel, but they have yet to do so over a year later. It *may* be in one of the massive short-collaboration videos they have on their site that combine a couple dozen shorts together to make an 'episode' but that'll take some digging to find it, if it's even in them.
>>36855814Costume Conundrum was released officially and can be added.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UW6-l3c9icAThen the only one missing will be Let it Rain.
I miss the show
>>36855976Instead of these 30 minutes mashups, they should make a proper playlist.
>>36857248Cute Maud in the back. Also really liked Maud's brief cameo in the snowball fight.
>>36856712They reupload a bunch of these 30 min mash ups of random eps to milk clicks though, been doing it for a while
>>36857551That's not a good idea. They are randomized. I prefer a season mashup, it would make more sense.
>>36856712They can't. EqG videos are all forcibly labeled as being "for kids", so they can't be put in playlists.
>>36858414A season longplay at least? You know, watch the movie and then watch these, then these, and then the other movie, and so on?
>>36857778Especially when you see various repeats over the course of a few eps. Not just referring to them using the CYOA's, which would involve re-showing the same first half and then alternating between the three endings in different eps, but a few times I sit through one of these and they have multiple episodes that use the same ending as a previous ep while another goes ignored. It's confusing, to say the least. You'd think they'd at least have one that has all the beach eps combined but I think you have to go looking for them amid the collections individually. I'm curious if there's any chance these shorts will make their way to a DVD collection like the specials did...
>>36854868>>36855335As do I. I know he has a niche filled as Twilight's boy-toy but I was always surprised Timber was utilized so much more for the shorts that followed Everfree than his sister. Gloriosa seemingly didn't have the following that Shadowbolts or Wallflower does, never see any dedicated threads for her, but I thought she was a fun character with her put-upon, stressed but hiding it all under a smile. With Timber/Twilight dating I would have figured she'd appear more for the latter in that case, sort of playing protective older (younger?) sister
>>36859628She could have been an interesting side character.A silly SoL short about how every villain lives after having magic would have been fun.
>>36859628There were threads at one point, but like all character generals, it became a pointless bumpfest. Also, she's Timber's older sister.
>>36857248Is that Sunny Flare? Her completely different hairstyle really threw me off. Practically unrecognizable.
>>36859983>the actual uironic e-thot gets another speaking appearance>pure over-stressed camp counselor does notjustice is a lie
>>36847107You're not fooling anyone contrarian. It's obvious you're just saying whatever you think will do the most damage, even if it it makes you look foolish via going against facts, reason and common knowledge. Like the person who says everything/everyone they don't like is "worse than Hitler".
>>36846827Just read this comic. Not a Dashfag, but the way they drew her in this, I really didn't mind that the whole issue seemed to mostly focus on her. 10/10 would cum inside.
>>36863101March Radness was definitely a great gift for Dashfags, the 3rd story of the three in particular I think was great both in it was Pencils finally getting into the groove of drawing the characters (first story I thought was a little rough, but he nailed it by the last one), and the theme of the story felt really appropriate for Dash. I wasn't anticipating the comic to be primarily sports-themed, but given that's when lots of games start up / it becomes warm enough to do outdoor activities it sort of figures.I am eagerly anticipating another comic, if they're continuing on G4 with the (less than stellar) S10 thing I imagine there's room for a few more horsegirl comics as well. Hopefully with more Pencils now that he's gotten them down
>>36860862I personally don't mind Vignette's appearance she has the potential to be "the fem Discord" of the show but yeah I hate that they ignored Gloriosa she is charismatic af and her relationship with her brother is interesting.
>>36863101Dash jogging in the rain almost gives me false memory, like a girl I've know before and hung out with.I don't even like her, but EqG Dash is something special.
>>36863101That entire comic is unf tier
>>36861778Everything is worse then Hitler.
>>36864233>see that fucking flip-fall>can only see pic-related in my head as Juniper curses the Rainbooms for doing this
Fun little bit of EqG trivia I found out recently, for those who didn't know the Security Guard from Sunset's Backstage Pass apparently DOES have a nameGuy Tuff
>>36865554Neato. That guard was cool.
>>36846827I still hope for a comic with Confalone' original pan about human Sunset.
>>36866243When I first read his tweet, I was originally hoping for A) He would write a script for it (and pull in whoever usually vets his scripts since I know while Confalone's good he has occasionally needs someone to filter out his weirder ideas)B) Have the VA's at a convention do a live-reading of the script, which would make for a great event C) Maybe have storyboarders draw a few animatics to show up while they read it as well to paint a pictureAnd this would be as close as I would feel as necessary to get a genuine telling of this finale idea.BUT a comic admittedly would be much easier, probably visually prettier, and you could still do a live-reading of it if you wanted the voices. The only thing I'd need to be wary of is writers: I don't know if IDW has some sort of deal saying show-writers can't write for their comics and I'd be terrified of someone like Anderson or Wheatley fucking it up royal.
>when you see it
>>36867307See fucking what?
>>36867317>Watch the Equestria guys do just that
>>36867724What's supposed to be so special about that?
>>36864616What would your reaction be if it turns out there was a character named 'Ace' in G5, and also happened to have a blonde mane?
>>36869211I would laugh. I really can't expect that to happen.
>>36869211Honestly, I just laugh.
Book fags where we at? Hot takeStarswirl do over> backstage passSunset's pov of being horny was cøøl, but major reason is just being the definitive edition of backstage pass and how Sunset doesn't notice that the universe is very unstable and she swaps places with some sunsets in some routes and never notices itAnd then the writer acknowledges that yes the universe is getting fucked and gives it its own bad endingCool shit also Pinkie being the one that shits on sunset in one of the beginning routes, make Sunset use her criminal skills, bad endings are long enough and end with a "the end" and don't redirect you so you can try again effectively making bad endings canon into the eqg lore... And more cool shitFavorite stand alone book was the Pinkie Pie one where she gets salty that Rarity is kinda better at what she does in a human setting, the book having Rarity win without even noticing Pinkies breakdown, and showing that sometimes Pinkie makes her friends cringe and Pinkie seems to be considered autistic in-universe.... Good stuff
I can see Starlight Glimmer still get fan art of her with ice cream in 10 years, one off appearance in eqg but she is hot>>36868705Background human guys got a song where they act supportive to the main cast for international women's day, I feel annoyance for flash sentry but they made green dreadlocks hippie talk and that's cool, song is uh corny but it's made for the target audience so that justifies it
>>36870120A hot take for sure but not one without a modicum of respect. I enjoy the special more becauseA) It's a full animated special with voice-acting and visuals telling (mostly) the same story, which for me just gives it a natural edge over the novelizationB) The book makes the Sirens (especially Adagio) a bit too understanding / nice IMO, it's not over the top but it's definitely less bitchy than they were in the special, and I like my fishes to be bitchesBut, I do like the vast variety of options for both paths and endings that the book provides, in this it definitely has an edge. I like the various paths you can take Sunset on (some of which even got to be shorts, such as punk-metal Fluttershy or yoga-Sunset), I like to imagine the book demonstrates all the possible approaches Sunset took during the 17 cycles that were skipped during the actual special such as trying to stay up all night or ruining Starswirl itself. The fact that it even included bad ends (some of which were legitimately unnerving) was a great touch, modern day you'd think they'd chicken out on those in child CYOA's.
>Where are my testicles, Twilight?
>>36869211which ace is “canon?”
>>36870360Ahhh I'd say animated is more like, an anime adaptation of a multiple paths videogame it cherry picks content from the book and makes something out of thatI wouldn't say the book represents a "could've been" for the special given how every content shared by the special and book are just outright not the same like the gag of the shitty drawing in the special to alert security of Sunset is played seriously with no shitty drawing but using a photo,or having one of the equestria girls/rainbooms try to deal with the security guard actual different universes. You know I've noticed spike is like never in the books only mostly in adaptations of the movies because he is there originally but when the writers have the freedom to make their own original stories spike is like practically non existent even on a book written by the same writer as the animation specialGive me your take on this piece of akchtual eqg lore, on a book who's selling point is being a direct sequel to rainbow rocks Sunset outright says she doesn't miss equestria cuz she had a twilight-like life of studying but with the twist of evil scheming and because she has practically no ties in equestria she doesn't miss it, no crying or anything give me your opinion on this
I'm scared of ace anon, I'm sure is just ONE guy, even norman got more going on but we all agreed to let him rest because anon just has more appeal and writing flexibility
>>36846827Sugarcoat needs to be slapped you respect your chest superiors as a lady
>>36870986>Anon has more writing flexibilityI think that is why Notman was "forgotten", and Ace a shitpost.I mean, while you can write with them, they are defined characters, and not many will read their origins, so they end up in obscurity. Anonymous, meanwhile, is a wild card. He can be a self insert, a new character all together, or just a side character that shines up the original MC.
>>36870986>I'm sure is just ONE guyThat's what anons said about Glimboopers, Nyxposters and funny enough anyone that liked Equestria Girls
>>36872765Rip Norman. Too normal for this crazy board.
>>36859996The /ATM/ threads were fun besides the world building there were /nst/, Normal Norman and various character threads like Juniper, Wallflower and Gloriosa posters all hung out to discuss various topics and the EQG world. Too bad it got banned
>>36873227maybe it’s time to create the nightly scilight thruster thread (nstt) for the ultimate form of worldbuilding thread
>>36873246Should we?I like the idea but there is so little to work with. There's a Equestria Girls content drought.
>>36873252i suppose we can embrace the nst insanity and ace content here under the eqg thread bannerbut that does mean it’ll alienate those who just wanna talk about eqg
>>36873259>does mean it’ll alienate those who just wanna talk about eqgNot necessarily that can still be done. Anyway what was the last bit of Equestria Girls content to drop?
i’m thinking about how ace thruster content would fit inside the nst multiverse... would ace and coffee exist in a single reality, or would BOI be a faction in its own right and have to be added to the multiverse map?
>>36873252They should come. Gloriosa and Juniper could use the love. Vignette and those Zpop chicks can be posted too!>>36873284Add it to the multiverse. They make sure that Moondancer don't try to invade and kill the Sci Twi of their universe.BOI posters already were joking with a multiverse idea. I mean, since EqGland is basically Ponyworld's Australia.
>>36873284From a multiverse perspective Both Ace/Coffee and BOI can be a faction to the multiverse map.
>>36873284>yet another agency to protec Twilightsthis is a blatant overreach by HST! they have too much influence in CDC and suck up all the attention!
>>36873366Who says they'll protect Twilights? They have their own agenda
>>36873373If anything, they will use twiggles as bait to attract whoever is trying to kill her. Then they will investigate how they manage to jump between universes.
>>36873394>the “villains” always seem to figure out how to hop dimensions on the cheap instead of using expensive technology like HST does or commie manpower of USSR >HST doesn’t care to find out, USSR is drowning in Glimmers so they don’t care either >but BOI is curious
>>36873419This has potential.
God EQG Animatics are so comfy
>>36873712She's a maniac, maniac on the floorAnd she's dancing like she's never danced before.
>>36870120>>36870360I would have preferred that that special received the treatment that Netflix gave to the Carmen Sandiego special https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07jnFUoVzFg just with some of the modifications that were made in Backstage Pass 'cuz one year messing with time and space was turbo autistic just keep the bad endings and let the other girls besides Sunset and Pinkie play a part just like the book.
>>36873882That's kind of how I thought it was gonna go when the CYOA book came out: they were already going through the practice of the CYOA shorts so the concept had been introduced. The thought of a 44 minute special made up of various navigated tracks through unlisted Youtube videos would have been a pretty great way to tell the story and not something outside of what Hasbro had already stepped their toes into.
>>36873638Redpill me on this. What does it mean? I wasn't a /nst/ poster, but I used to see you guys on the catalog back in the day.
>>36870956I hadn't read that book yet but I do like one section I've read that pertains to an area of interest of mine: Sunset's family and her relation to them. It's one of the only (in fact, maybe THE only) time Sunset mentions her familial ties. It's summed up pretty shortly as simply 'not close', but it raises enough questions to pique my interest about what that entails, whether Sunset didn't have a good relationship because they had too high expectations for her, were too demanding, too dismissive, etc. Also has a section regarding her perception of her cutie mark, which while it doesn't explain how she got it says she originally thought, since it was a sun, her destiny was to surpass Celestia, though of course did not work out in the end
>>36875050This. Never really lurked SciTwi threads even tho I love her to death. Anyone help a faggot out?
>>36873198>>36872765Norman is personally more fun to read for me than Anon. The main gimmick and draw for Norman is he is the only normal-colored kid in a school, a TOWN, full of multicolored doug-people, and that to me leads to more hilarious situations like his being declared a skin-head racist based solely on him being white (but not Rarity white which is fine), or his deciding to nickname all the girls based colors like Purple. With Anon it's either not brought up, or he's green which is fine in the context of the verse. Also with him being so out of place he just naturally works into the 'new kid from out of town' background that's solid foundation for a protagonist.
>>36875934nst.wikia.com has everything to know about the multiverse
>>36876603The thing about Norman is that he always was the anchor to Earth."Brad" Sentry aleays was too busy riding his car, raping girls, or being a generic highschool cool kid. Nolan was the son of a criminal, and he had his own record. Many of his friends are either insane or have a strange skill.Him? He always had to be the straight man. Even between MCs he is the only "sane" one.Sci Twi has a multiverse of fun, fears, tears, and fem jizz. Ace Thruster is too busy being a mad lad, the Shadowbolts are always in their own corner, anon is busy projecting his meme and rape powers to get what he wants, and many of the villain girls are either forgotten or posted randomly.Norman, instead, he can be forgotten, yet he can be added to any story, and fit right in.
>>36876915>The thing about Norman is that he always was the anchor to Earth.True, the thing about being the only 'normal' kid in the school meant he's more suited for being the straight-man than eccentric. Though he could have his eccentricities too, I remember a few stories where they did play up his accused racism as being at least a little factual.
>>36876603>The main gimmick and draw for Norman is he is the only normal-colored kid in a schoolThey're are a few normal-colored kids like that nerd boy and this jock dude.
>>36877715>>36877718That jock looks so... "jockey"? I feel he would have a jock name like Terry or Bruce.
>>36856305but anon, the 5th movie will be released.
>>36878965I can't wait to be thrust into danger.
>>36850199>>36861778you losers are still this delusional? it was canceled because it was a flop, even ponylife is more successful. every one of these threads is always hot garbage and now youre so bankrupt for discussion youre talking about other shitty generals instead.
>>36877715Yeah but kids like Flash and that jock guy have a bit more unnatural yellow/tan color to them that makes them safe among the multicolored student body. Norman is the only pure WASP white you can see
>>36879794But anon, how else is he going to make this fake general look legitimate for the archives? This is how he (barely) survives. Never underestimate the determination of a perpetual samefag who wants something he made to feel big and important.
Say you got pic-related for a single special/movie in G5 as a throwback to the original EqG, just a fun side-venture of Sunny finding her way to >no hooves-ville via the mirror and watching some shenanigans ensue. What would you like to see? Figure we've already done a high-school plot but something still along a similar line of B-rated cheesy fun would be just fine for me.
>>36879794>bankruptanon, one agent caused capitalism.
>>36880172>What would you like to see?The Dazzlings. That will always be my answer whenever EqG is concerned.
>>36880222Thinking about it, that doesn't strike me as all that unlikely. The Sirens managed to survive from Starswirl's era to Twilight's in the human world, who's to say they can't manage to live another 1000-ish years or however long it takes to G5, and are still there waiting for Sunny/whoever when they come around? That actually strikes me as the best case scenario, love legacy villains.
>>36880357Exactly! Imagine Sunny and co. learn about the portal and decide to go check it out. Their preconceptions of this alien world are based solely off the old book Twilight and Sunset used to communicate. As soon as they step though the mirror, it's a total culture shock. The Dazzlings have outlived all of their enemies and taken over the human world. They are now goddesses, and the protagonists have just unwittingly brought the one thing the Dazzlings crave the most back into their domain... Equestrian magic!Of course, they have no idea what they've just done, and by the time it dawns on them, its too late. The Dazzlings have these fools right where they want them, and this time Sunset Shimmer won't be around to get in their way!
>>36879794iyou just hate this exist and we live rent free in your head you NEED to screech or else you'll go maniac and for that i look down on you, now don't let your trap door hit your head in your crawl down homeyou insult us for the hands but i insult you cuz i don't hate pone lmao ks ks ks ks poggers victory royalI'm not really looking forward your next post but i got the feeling your an autismo so I know it will happen, that's how it goes rent free blah blah
>>36880611>you insult us for the hands but i insult you cuz i don't hate pone lmao ks ks ks ks poggers victory royal
>>36880521It just works on so many levels for me. The Dazzlings are almost as much the face of EqG as Sunset is, so having them be the villains would not only involve villains with history with the franchise, but one of the most popular parts of it as well. There is already a precedence for the Dazzlings being able to survive for centuries, so they could easily be explained into making the time-gap between G4 and G5, and they'd be a returning fan favorite to act as the villains of a new horse-girl special. Maybe throw in a descendant of Sunset herself to interact with human Sunny to tie in everything and I think that's the formula for a really fun special. The only thing I'm not sure I am sold on is the distant future being a dystopia ruled by the Dazzlings, I sort of like them being conniving/subterfuge based villains who work in subtle ways from the background to set up their kill rather than big evil empress figures (and then you know there'd be issues with Sonata or Aria with any level of political power), but they'd make great antagonists for a G5 horsegirl concept either way. Would love to see Sunny trying to befriend them only to release these fishes aren't playing around.
>>36881036Who says it has to by a dystopia? They could just delegate all of the mundane stuff to competent people and use their figurehead status to bask in the adoration of the populace, like Dagi always wanted. Although a kingdom run by Sonata would be pretty amusing (for the audience, probably not so fun for the inhabitants). I could maybe even see Aria getting bored with how easy everything is. It just doesn't have the same flavor when it's given freely. She misses the hunt, the zest of misery and despair. Combined with her desire to upstage Adagio, maybe she'd wind up turning on them and helping Sunny, if only as a temporary measure to seize power for herself.
>>36881143It's curious to think how Sunny would handle the Dazzlings, we don't know all to much about the G5 cast's personalities yet but given the theme is trying to get the tribes to come back together and speciesism is bad m'kay, I'm curious if she'd try to befriend them / get them to see humans and ponies as friends, not food. And then we get to watch that situation blow up in her face.
>>36850386>tfw eagerly awaiting the distant neon cyber-humare future we deserve
>>36882430Would love to see a 'where are they now' special for EqG in G5, just giving us an update on where all these crazy fuckers ended up
Now that the series is over, where do you think the Mane 7 would have ended up career wise? What paths did they all take following High School, which do you think would be most interesting appropriate?I like these sketches from one of the storyboard artists depicting Applejacks becoming a professional chef, seems appropriate for an apple connoisseur and a bit more interesting than simply staying on the farm for her whole life.
>>36880521>Hurrhurr what if it was just regurgitated muh rainbowcocks again?do fishfags really?
>>36883401RD house wife cuz funny and hot, Rarity instagram thot, sci twi techno wizard scientist, Fluttershy follow the path of the metal or veterinary, applejack the farm business, Sunset my wife criminal services while doing normal jobs to appear normal
>>36848980Jesus. They fucking butchered it.
>>36883401I mean Applejack becoming a chef is kind of random honestly but doing it to follow and live with Rarity in "Paris" works fine.
>>36873704>>36873712>>36873720>>36883942I would love to see the movies, shorts and specials in animatic format
>>36883982You can see something like that in this video>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7c4ki7Gs7c
>>36884010I already know about the existence of the deleted scenes and the animatics from the leaks but I wish we had the rest that we haven't seen just imagine how great it would be to see the animatic of The other side
>>36883950A fair point, though of all the possibilities for a career path a chef seems plausible for AJ: in FiM they make a point of showing off she's skilled at making pies and cobblers and various apple pastries, expanding on that skill seems reasonable. Though I admit her choosing that path specifically to join Rarity in Prance is a good catalyst to make it even more sensible, Paris (Mareis?) seems a likely destination for a fashionista and it's as well know for its food as its fashion, so that gives reason for both to go out there.
>>36883942Reasons like this I think Equestria girls would look great in comic format, the expressions/positioning shown here in storyboards would translate perfectly to comic panels with the write penciler/colors.
>>36884889>I think Equestria girls would look great in comic formatThe holidays special made me refuse any EqG comic. You know which one I'm talking about.
>>36883612But it's not. I went on to develop it further >>36881143.The Dazzlings are the good guys. They've "found the magic" (of friendship) and created a utopia where they're adored rather than using their magic to create chaos. They just want to share equestrian magic to help the people, but Sunny only knows the old versions of them from the book and misunderstands them. >>36884960Definitely the worst comic of the three released for Equestria Girls so far but March Radness redeemed it in my eyes. Outside of the wreck that was the Holiday comic, the first comic was actually quite decent (with a great Sunset origin in the first half and a fairly serviceable, if kinda boring, second half), and March Radness was altogether solid. I know it's hard to let it go when out of only three comic outings, one was that bad, but they've clearly learned a lesson or two. Also will never say no to more Pencils but I would be fucking stoked if they got Gurihiru on art like they did for a TPB cover

>>36896038>I guess it's not entirely all about Gloriosa not getting another shot.Bithc, please, I was waiting for this board to do something with these two, yet they dissapeared from everywhere. Is a miracle people even remembers them (Hell, is a miracle I remember them, and I forgot their names!)

>>36894676she was a terrible antagonist but she's really hot tho.
>>36896128To be fair, K-Lo and Su-Z both kind of made a minimal impression in their special: they were a plot element since the start but they didn't even receive speaking lines until well into the third act. I thought they were perfectly serviceable as antagonists, I rather like that their 'villainy' was unintentional unlike previous villains and could justify their late-game cuntiness as a form of panic once their loop had been uncovered. But they also don't have the personal grudge or presence that Wallflower or Juniper had: Wallflower in particular was really easy to emphasize with which is why she was a relatively breakout villain, but K-Lo and Su-Z really just did not leave too much an impact due to their being saved for the last length of plot.
>>36897543What about Vignette? She was as superficial as those two, yet she is more remembered.
>>36886009>gurihiruGonna need to settle for a mini-series I think in that case: Gurihiru isn't really well known for long-running comics, they usually work in short bursts of 4-5 issue series, I think due to a small staff team. Maybe alternating with Pencils would work but you'd need to curb the expectation of a full series drawn by them.

Supposedly I assume one writer was initially setting the two of them up and just decided her with Bulk made more sense, but I also like to think it was intentionally for punishing Flash more.
>>36891558>>36891789Haven't had the autism to check in a while: has it been confirmed if they eat meat in Equestria Girls? First movie there was theories going around that they had a horse-like vegetarian diet going on (actually used a hay-burger asset from the main show IIRC)
>>36901103They really eat meat. The school's cafeteria is filled with patties, sandwiches and hotdogs, and the dinner where pinkie works serves those big as fuck burgers that stain everything.I'd say meat wouldn't be weird for an omnivorous race.
I can't belive there's not a single CYOA short with the Dazzlings

>>36902924I still haven't fully watched Rollercoaster of Friendship, so I have no idea what her problem is.

>>36897881True but, again, Vignette at least had speaking roles since the first act: she was vain as they come but she had the time to acquire meme potential with her thottery. Su-Z and K-Lo, while in my opinion better written antagonists, just came too late to make an impression unlike Vignette.
>>36902924Vignette is hottest than Juniper.
So what is up with monster transformations and why did it stop with Juniper? Also why did the girls get new powers only for them not to explore it?
>>36904145I think they wanted to keep the Mahou Shoujo stuff to a minimun.Still, it would have been cool to see the villains in a monster form. I mean, we were already joking EqG was basically MLP: the anime.I liked this version of Wallflower fused with the stone, Vignette could have been some sort of crystal diva that teleports or creates holograms a la shadow jutsu. And these two >>36896128 could have been cheap JoJo, freezing/accelerating/rewinding specific sections of time. Kinda like a The World/Made In Heaven power.
>>36904145>Why did it stop with JuniperBecause it was risking being over-played: every single villain since the start of the series had received one>Devil Shimmer>Siren Dazzlings>Midnight Sparkle>Gaia Everfree>Humonga JuniperWith Wallflower onwards, I am guessing they felt the need to start taking a break from it lest it become over-saturated. Which, has its ups and downs because some concepts like >>36904256 for Wallflower really would have been welcomed. If anything I would say Juniper was the straw that broke the camels back, if they'd taken a break from her we could have gotten 1-2 more before the end of the series.
>>36901822both options are good so both.>>36902924IMO Vignette has more personality but yeah her "redemption" is weaker than Juniper's.>>36904145It always bothered me that they didn't keep the concept I can understand why they decided to take a break with Wallflower but Vignette and K-Lo should turned into a demon they abused using magic a lot. If somehow the show returns I hope human Glimmer and human Sunset get a badass transformation.
>>36905765>human Glimmer and human Sunset get a badass transformationEvil transformations? I dont think that's gonna happen even if it did come back. Sunset already got hers.
Humanized enjoyer bad ending minus, eqg seems to be in a animated hiatus but everyone that does hands draws from eqg and the human tag will never be like pre eqg Retry? Y/N
>>36905765I honestly am of the opinion both Juniper and Vignette's redemption were weak, though Vignette's was objectively worse in how hilariously quick a turnaround it was (almost as if it were parody of bad redemptions) Juniper's I felt was missing the point: Juniper was honest to goodness vindictive and vengeful over being busted for vandalism on a movie-set, I don't think her wanting friends should have been the argument-winner Starlight made it out to be for her, and whereas Vignette at least was more or less just inconveniencing the girls in the end locking them in a room, Juniper was on the verge of actually killing them due to the mirror breaking so it just felt disproportionate.>Starlight getting a transformationNow this might have been interesting, considering Starlight started to break the trend of suped-up monstrous villains on the mainshow being finale threats I'd be curious what a monster-girl human glimmer might have to offer in design, especially with her base look

>>36907688Yes and no. Gonna go ahead and shill a theory I've been pushing for a while: I think that Celestia and Luna are 'immortal' in the sense that a new one appears every generation to replace the previous ones, whether it's their actual blood relatives/daughters is up in the air but note how two very Celestia/Luna looking girls appear at the festival. It could be that every half-century or so a new set is born to replace the older ones so that they remain a constant of the universe.
>>36909496So like Link and Zelda? Celestia and Luna confirmed for Triforce bearers. I guess Discord would be their Ganon, since he's a constant.

Imagine if they continued to grow in fame and shows that they would need to hire security measures, I imagine Guy would be an extremely effective and personally reliable option.

What I like about Ace Thruster is he would be an antagonist from the girls perspective.A government group looking into the magic wouldn't be a bad idea. Its essentially the premise that most people expected from Sci twi at the end of rainbow rocks, of a morally ambiguous scientific investigator/investigation into magical stuff happening. Its also not an uncommon trope in "magic in the real world" scenarios to have an antagonist force of individuals trying to uncover what's going on with the main cast having to try and keep up the charade.
>>36915011I remember a guy posting his EqG 5 idea, but the more I read it, the more I think it would work as a series. He wwanted to add Trixie to the cast since it looks like some girls have been tainted by magic (and Trixie can teleport), and then the plot goes how Ace and Coffee steal their pendants and how they try to recover them with their limited teenage bodies (with the help of Trixie and Pony Twi), and then the ending where the girls recover their powers, fight Coffee, fight Ace who is inside a mecha, and then defeating them with the power of friendship. It would end on a cliffhanger where Ace and Coffee escape, and call backup from a secluded location, knowing the enemy is bigger than they though.A season with 15/20 episodes should be enough to set the tone, with breaks in between.
>>36915069>fight Ace who is inside a mechaThe Japanese would eat this up
>>36915011That's how Ace sans Thruster originally began.
>>36915099It's always been Ace Thruster even back in 2016 before LoE came out.>>36915069I vaguely remember a plot where the girls from EQG and the Girls from FIM work together to fight BOI with the Dazzlings helping BOI in exchange for being sent back to Equestria.
>>36915110Nope, just Ace.
>>36915011That's one thing both shows in general could have used more of in general: antagonists whose motivations aren't merely self-serving and have some noble intent to them. The concept of a government agency becoming antagonistic to the girls and wanting to control Equestria's magic works so well because, there is a reason to be concerned and there is reason to want to have a better means of mitigating or controlling the magic than trusting seven teenage girls to do right with it. Sure there could be some asshole in the organization who plays the villain card more straight and wants the power for him/herself but as a whole it'd be neat to have a villain organization who frequently makes trouble and gets in the way of the girls or endangers Equestria, but only because humans lives are at stake everytime the magic leaks through.

>>36920315I think he is referering to "what would you like to change from the ending?".In my case, for starters it would be have one ending. The holiday special maybe was the last appearance, but it would have been nice to have the girls in a proper send off. I miss the show so bad
>>36924179If it were to be revived, what format would you prefer for it? A very short (say 10 episode) mini-series just to sort of wrap up as many loose ends as possible ala Jack, or a string of 2-3 movies that won't give as much time to breathe but will able to tell longer narratives like the old ones?
>>3692454013 episodes sounds good to me but those episodes have to be 22 minutes long.

>>36939650>aims highHe's not even aiming. All Twilight had to say was "sorry I'm busy right now saving the world" and he gave up and slinked away pathetically to cry somewhere.
>>36939931Yeah but damn...its a shame we will never see more EQG stuff.
>>36939931Rejection can destroy a man's pride.
>>36939931No Flash, don't fall into the traps' trap.
>>36940769Im about to lewd Twilight Sparkle...any objections?
>>36940014Boy's pride*Men see rejection as a new freedom.Rejection can make a futafag aka "tranny" go apeshit.
>>36932057This pic alone could very well translate into a series. Fuck the suits for their lack of ambition.
>>36941755Agreed my nigga
>>36941882Wrong waifu flag
>>36941320Depends, which Twilight?
>>36941935Also the wrong flag.
>>36941360>"tranny" go apeshit. That's a redundancy you posted there.
>>36941882>Trixie the only non Mane7/Dazzling to get a EqG flagExtremely based.I liked her role in the show, it's easy to forget before S6, EqG was the only speaking role she had for a while after her only other appearance in S3. I liked how she had more opportunity to interact with the rest of the cast, especially in some of the shorts like the 'Rarity Investigates' one where she and Rarity had a monologue-off.
>>36943500Her manifesting a power on her own was the best part of that episode. And it suited her perfectly. And they never capitalized on that shit. And I am sad now.
>>36943638I want to mating press Glasses Twilight. But I despise NTR as it is one of the most jewish of fetishes...so that Timber fag wins.
>>36846827Do we have any confirmation on what Tempest Shadow looks like in EqG? Because I'm wondering what the parallel for a broken horn would be.Just a broken arm? Completely missing an arm? Or because humans don't have horns there is no analogous limb to lose?
>>36944056Wheelchair. But she has this secret hobby for making fireworks that she keeps hidden because working with gunpowder is frowned upon/illegal but She ends up getting hired by a legitimate company at the end of the episode and its heartwarming and shit.
>>36943638>when you're high as fuck>>36944056Missing an eye. A unicorn's horn is pretty vital to their lives. I'd think EQG equivalent would have to be just as important to lose. Plus this way she can wear a badass eyepatch to increase her EDG stat.
Equestria Girls on motorcycles.
>>36944602Once you put in motorcycles I'm very tempted to bring up Duel Monsters."Friendship games, on motorcycles."
>>36944686Who would use what deck?
Genuine question. What happens if we hit the bump limit? Is the new thread linked here or do I have to look for it?
Well my day is ruined.
>>36945406For a second I was confused why Fluttershy was crying at her own funeral. Then I realized that was Ponk.
>>36944056How tall would she be?
>>36945230>What happens if we hit the bump limit? No idea. I'm impressed this thread managed to reach 400 posts, but I doubt it will have the energy for a second one.Still, it was nice to post about Ace or the smexy Eq girls without being screamed nohooves or shitposted to death for a change.
>>36944056Artists take a wild guess on that limb
>>36945406; _ ;
Hey. If I considered running a game of DnD set in the EQH world would anyone play? The idea would be a low combat/magic social play where the goal is to research and spy on the students to figure out what the fuck is going on.
>>36947213What, here on the board? Like as a thread?
>>36947213Rolling for you to do it.
Rolled 12 (1d20)>>36947343Dangit
>Starlight should stay for a few more daysThey took it from us
>>36947254>>36947315>>36947343Possibly here. May livestream if the logs get popular enough. The idea is a no magic, At first game. Rogues, Rangers, Fighters, Monks(Within reason and without the magic type feats), and even Barbs. No magic archtypes but rather using each individuals skills and talents and abilities to go through day to day life.
>>36947482Fuck yeah, dude. That sounds baller as fuck. I'd be down. I've always wanted to get into that kind of thing, but well, you know... >no friendsIt would certainly be interesting utilizing EqG. It could introduce supernatural elements, which are just Equestrian magic leaking out again, without going full blown magic.
>>36947525The idea that, in game, would be a bunch of amateur detectives, conspiracy theorists, larpers, basically anyone who would WANT to know about magic. Shits gon be cash son. Ill work on a day one session and get back to everyone. Ill use this tripcode so people know its me.
>>36947009>>36944056No given consensus, though as other anon pointed out given that the horn has no real equivalent most would have Human Tempest be down a limb... which makes sense, given that's usually what a typical unicorn uses their horn for is levitation. Personally I like to lean on her keeping all her limbs though, it's not like EqG Scootaloo has to spend all her time in a wheelchair because pony Scoots has gimpy wings. Plus it may be a unique experience for her should she ever come to human land: a place where her only 'deformity' is a scar across her eye, someplace she fits in better due to horns having no human equivalent to lose. Might make her feel more accepted, beyond the troubles that come with having to get used to a lanky monkey body.
>>36948159Maybe she has a missing finger?
>>36948265I still like the wheelchair idea.
>>36947533>>36947541>I even got dubsOkay so if I were to do this game would anons prefer a slice of life episodic with arcs representing specific sets of goals they have or an escalating series of events that lead to a climax or two ala shonen except it doesn't suck ass?
>>36947213I saw a stealth pony thread on /tg/ a while ago, humanizing ponies but using multiples exbies to hide.
>>36948788Id rather not risk it. If only because the only rule the mods ever seem to heavily enforce when it comes to offtopic is GR15.
>>36947382Where did she stay? Cause Sunset only has a single bed (unless they shared, giggidy) and a dirty futon.
>>36947382>>36949265WAIT DID THAT ACTUALLY HAPPEN!? I THOUGHT IT WAS AN EDIT!
>>36947382>"Juniper, what are you so happy about? We didn't invite you.">"Get lost, loser."
>>36949648Thats nothing. You see the crossover episode Sam Raimi made?
>>36948386Depends on what kind of scenery are you good at. If you are good on episodic campaings, where the story follows one hero until the end, go for the first one.If you are a weeb, the latter.
>>36949674What if I am a mix of both? Except I think Naruto sucks ass and ruined both the genre and /a/?
>>36938390Oh man. I underestimated how daunting this task was, and I'm not even finished yet.
>>36948386I think a culminating event would be the best, but not in the Shounen sense. More like the Resident Evil sense. Bosses at each level, each more powerful (and perhaps grotesque) than the last, until the big bad at the end. That'd be fucking fun.
>>36949972Looks great Anon
>>36949981Okay. Ive got multiple ideas for a plot hook/line. And for obvious reasons I cannot say what they are. So sort of gauging which one would be the most compatible.
Why were they arrested?
>>36950661Rainbow Dash was so cool it was illegal, everyone else was accessory to the crime.
