Sorry I haven't done any more pages since, been a bit busy and I got stuck because I found I needed reference photos for many of the pages as well as needing someone to confirm if some of the section cloud text colors were correct.I got as far as starting page 44 but I couldn't see the top of the page, so that's where it stalled.
>>36320134>Did you bake anything for this special occasion?Nothing from the baking book but I helped make these.

>>36332145Anon, thank you so much for the image! I've already done Page 120 (Wonderbolt French Toast) but if you could do that page just so I can check it. The contents pages excluding pic related would be very useful. And possibly the copyright notice in the back pages, I don't know what page number it is, but the text starts with "Media Lab Books" "For inquiries call" (and perhaps if you could tell me what page number it is)These are the pages requested from the previous threads.33 (Brown sugar Snickerdoodles)112 (Pony Poke Cake)115 (Cake Pops)118 (Celebration Cinnamon Rolls)There's probably more, but the trouble is I generally only know I need a reference when I attempt to start doing them. Please don't feel as though you have to do all the pages right away.
>>36332655Oh, if you could check to make sure that the color in the section cloud of this image is correct it would be a great help. It looks like a darker pink than the top and bottom borders, but I can't really be sure.
>>36332664And if you could check the highlighted parts in this image, from the references I have I can't tell which parts are the darker pink, or the lighter pink.
>>36332681I love preparing this for Rarity every morning
>>36332655Got it anon, i was gonna upload pics but it ended up too troublesome to post it here so i ended up put it in folder, it's all in here:https://u.smutty.horse/lytufidtqwe.zipThere's a folder with this post number >>36332655 most of the pics are in there as well as the other 2 posts below, hopefully you can find what you need. Generally i see it as the same. >It looks like a darker pink than the top and bottom bordersfrom my book it looks as it's the same color for top and bottom.>>36332681The section cloud text is light pink just like yours, while the "Makes 9 servings" text, "Ingredients" & "Directions" should be darker/vibrant pink. The page number at the bottom is darker pink, should be the same color as the "Makes 9 servings", "Ingredients" & "Directions" pink colors.
>>36334290Thanks so very much anon, a huge help.Pictures look nice and clear, so no worries there.Looks like the bundt cake page is good to go and the berry baked oatmeal page just needs the page number color changed. And the copyright notice is the page before the endsheet/flyleaf, which is good to know.

I tried combining the vectored page with the photo from >>36343453.

Page 26 has been re-uploaded. I found a low resolution preview of this page, so I was able to re-align everything to match the page more closely.
Anons, I'm desperate enough to ask for help here:Can any of (You) recommend a mini oven to me? As much as I love my dorm apartment, I don't have an oven. I'm willing to pay up to 200€ (that's like 240 USD), but after reading and comparing online tests, I'm more annoyed than anything and need someone who got their hands on a mini oven tell me "it just werks". Due to lockdowns, I can't go to the stores and fiddle some ovens myself. I already missed out on baking Christmas cookies, I've missed out on my favorite dishes for a year now.
>>36347780i don't really know much about those,i just use very smol family oven, i think any over would do just fine, sometimes you might have to find out the perfect temperature for baking, the temperature on the book does not goes well sometimes.
l was about to bake apple pie but i fucking forgot to defrost the pie crustm looks like we're having bao for tomorrow breakfast
>>36347780I have no experience with mini ovens but I'm willing to bet they don't work very well. Does your dorm not have a common kitchen?
>>36347780if you have a rice cooker you can try do celestias pancake. i think it's possible >>36349188
>>36348123>>36349155>>36349195Thank (You) anons, I'll continue my search. When I want to try the princess pancakes, I'll probably adjust them to work in a pan. Don't have any rice cooker/bread maker/fryer either. And our dorm is divided into basically equal apartments for 1 to 2 persons, and each apartment has the same small, oven-less kitchen.
Hope you guys don't mind if I post a mostly finished page. (Pony vectors can take a while to do.)
>>36351485not at all!
Alright anons, I'm a little bit nervous but I'm planning to get a job for the first time (was supposed to continue college but cause pandemic and economic problems), there's not much job interested in my town but just found an add for assistance baker. I have no experience working before and now I'm trying to write resume and am autistic now. >tfw baking thread actually somehow get me into getting a job in baking
>>36352603You can do it anon!
>>36352603I don't understand. Is there a problem? This sounds like good news. I hope you like waking up very early.
>>36352603Good luck, Anon!!
>>36320148>>36320134ah how come i have never seen anyone of these
>>36352603this is extremly good news to think a hobby has become such a big thing in your life
>>36354436>>36356415thanks anon, well looks like they didn't reply to my emails yet
few days ago tried making eggnog, it ended up taste weird. there goes all my childhood of ever thinking eggnog would taste amazing.
>>36348884it's finally time for Apple Pie.have been craving for that in a long time
>>36358819got me mum to help shaping the crust, and i forgot to put the lemon juice in the end, so i just sorta drizzle it on the top trying to fill in through the holes. Also downscaled the oortion to half than the original recipe, besides the flour part and the spices
>>36358825overall looks good.also skipped the egg wash befor baking cause already gotten lazy today
>>36358825>>36358828Oh shit you even got the lattice pattern!
>>36358828this time there's still some issues.good part is we nailled the crust. On the other side, i put too much nutmeg (although i like nutmeg) but there's the tangy/麻 feeling when taking a big bite, i also put double the amount of flour and corn starch, since last time it felt too watery, this time it felt quite dry, although it now resemble the consistency if IKEA apple pie that i had before. pretty interesting, still gotta figure out the perfect combination for the fillings. overall it's still alright, finally got what im craving for.how about you anon?
>>36358844mum wanted to try that, it was nice, making it wasn't as easy as in the cartoons but still doable.
>>36358883twiggy liked it (not really)

>>36358886>>36358854i am getitng hungry i should praobly do something with my cheap store bought dough
>>36358991no i dont have vanilla ice cream, tried with mint choc chip, didn't go well.>>36360476no, that would probably be my imaginary oc tulpa, she's more of an officer type of mare doing brain/command stuffs. :^)>>36361119>store bought doughfor me it's super expensive to buy imported store bought dough and can't find any of these in my town. Instead making pie crust from scratch is way easier & cheaper (if real butter is pricy just use cheap ones). For my first time doing it it was a complete mess and i probably fucked up the ratio many times. But for the second time i just follow this recipehttps://youtu.be/a_GANJFyJ4U?t=68I don't have fancy equipment so i just use fork instead, it's actually way easier than I expected once i had some experience. Now i enjoyed making the pie crust more than cutting apples.
>>36361926I was looking through the leaks for any useful assets when I came across this pic related.So... any favorite recipes in the baking book?

This thread makes me hungry.
>>36382570i hope it works for you anon!
>>36386658Status report: I've successfully baked a cake in it. Not from the mlp baking book, though, but a recipe from the time I baked a cake in the mental hospital. It seems I should use a little less heat than in a normal oven. But yeah, it really looks like I can /bake/ now.
>>36387569oh shit nice!yea with those small ovens the heat can come down also try moving the rack up a slot if you dont need the headroom
>>36387650Thanks, this aligns with my first impressions, so I'll keep this in mind. It's a very small oven, 19L only, but it's enough for me, space is scarce in a dorm room. 75€ well spent, I'd say.
>>36387569sometimes the baking book recommended 176-200 Celsius for baking but my old oven is quite small and old so i just follow it's recommended temperature that's 130-150 Celsius instead,

Will make Chimi-Cherry-Changas tomorrow after work. Will post as I bake.
>>36409037ooh good luck I recommend getting bigger tortillas than they call for or be careful not to put too much filling in them
>>36409037Looking forward for that
>>36409037Chimi-Cherry? Cherry-Changa!!!Hot from the oven!
>>36412506That looks delicious.
>>36412506I skipped the cimanone because I don't enjoy it mixed with dark cherries AAAaaNNNND I used frozen dark cherries instead of pie filling. I don't enjoy the gloopy gloppy corn syrup goo. I thawed the cherries and added them on top of the cream filling. I also omitted the vanilla extract because I used vanilla sugar in the cream. A sprinkle of sugar on top of the buttered tortillas and baked. Kept the small taco size tortillas because why have one big one when you can have three of these?!
>>36412519Not gonna lie, they turned out better than I thought and as they only took a few minutes to bake I will be making these again. I'm gonna wrap one up and save it for my breakfast at work tomorrow.
>>36412539Also, I baked them on a sheet of non-stick foil so I didn't add any butter or spray to the fan. These are not greasy at all.
>>36412506im jealous>>36412530gourmet as buck
>>36412506>>36412530They look like little pockets of yum. I like that you made smaller ones. I like cinnamon so I would have kept that in, but subbing frozen cherries for lame store-bought pie filling was a good move. Good stuff Anon.
>>36412635Don't be jealous, make some. Not too gourmet, just cheap and easy. Tortillas are pretty cheap and the cherries I got on sale but you could use some kind of jam or jelly. Also, neufchatel cheese is a little cheaper than cream cheese. (This would even be nic with cimanum and raisins. Pinkie made us a dessert recipe that doesn't take a lot of bits!
>>36412671Thanks, they were tasty!
>>36412506>>36412678I bet these would go really well with ice cream

>>36417910how about bake off contest? picking any recipes available from >>36321018only being judged by pics, not the taste. so anon can cheat their way like using glue for icing if it looked good

>>36419919you should try out this recipe anon It's one of the easier ones, is delicious, and actually exists in the show
>>36420091I think I might have to at some point.
>>36418808anyone wanna take charge of hosting a contest?
>>36420953GAH I was attending a wedding during the last /mlp/ con so I was not nearly as involved as I could have been, and this time around I am going all in I will definitely consider participating in something like this but I cannot be the host of it, I've got ideas for several other threads that I will also be involved in someone please consider taking charge on this though!in the meantime we can brainstorm about what such a contest might look like for example, how will the dishes be judged and ranked when they cannot be tasted?
My first time in this general. How many times has it been said already that horses shouldn't eat bread, chocolate, and dairy?
>>36421791mlp ponies eat pony bread, pony chocolate, and pony dairy
>>36421791>chocolateThe biggest risk is if you have a racehorse, he can be disqualified if they detect theobromine. It's classed as a performance-enhancing stimulant. Getting enough to actually poison a horse is unlikely due to their size. Even a dog generally has to eat a whole bar of baker's chocolate to be at risk of death. That said, you shouldn't give your horse chocolate anyway, it's like a sort of double-caffeine for them. None of this goes for ponies, as they're clearly as different from IRL equines as humans are from chimpanzees.
>>36421947>whole bar of baker's chocolateAlso, the more processed it is, the less theobromine will still be present. Heating it breaks it down, so most chocolate candies have very little, which is why I mentioned baker's chocolate. It's much more concentrated.
>>36421778anyone have ideas for the contest?it would be silly to judge it based primarily on visual presentation no?
>>36357737When I made eggnog for the first time in 2019, it was amazing! Awesome taste and texture, easily out classed store bought. When I recently made it, it turned out awful. Ended up being slightly curdled basically. Not exactly sure why, followed the same recipe and made sure to not overheat it. I'm going to retry again sometime soon. Do you guys think ponies like eggnog?
Turning on the ovens
>>36423987Not sure what else we could judge on? Can't really do taste and speed seems kinda meh.
>>36421778im not sure if I'm free or not this time so can't do much. Hopefully some madlad will start something interesting.>how will the dishes be judged and ranked when they cannot be tasted?just by it's looks, or if you want to make it a team effort, as well as judging on how much your pony pal participated (could be a plush/figure/or even digital if u a tech wiz). Maybe extra marks if you can have creative greentext or something to describe.>>36423987anon we're on an Image board, not Discord VC ^:)surely we gotta improvise and make something unique out of it.some suggestions for place/titles:>Most fancy bake (the one that looked the nicest)>Most chaotic (messy, but it must have it's creativity) >Cum (should be self explanatory) >>36424125Rainbow Dash might>>36424831for?
>>36426429Not sure, let me look in the book
>>36427654I think we're gonna bake this, sounds pretty good
>>36427709Not the best presentation, but it was pretty great!
>>36421791>horses shouldn't eat breadI did not know this was true
>>36427709>>36429171nice job anon!and good call on the ice cream
>>36429171why are there black dots on vanilla ice cream?is this some fancy high quality ice cream?
>>36430266Looks like the seeds from a vanilla bean
>>36430266>>36430313yeah my guess is ice cream made with real vanilla bean, which suggests anon is based and has exquisite taste
time to let thread die? Continue on Hearts and Hooves Day?
Back Cover, Had to scale this down for the file size limit. The food pictures are from a high quality preview image, but the rest of the cover is vector artwork. The barcode is from a barcode generator and it does work.
