Hey guys! Sorry I haven't done any more pages since, been a bit busy and I got stuck because I found I needed reference photos for many of the pages as well as needing someone to confirm if some of the section cloud text colors were correct.
I got as far as starting page 44 but I couldn't see the top of the page, so that's where it stalled.

Anon, thank you so much for the image!

I've already done Page 120 (Wonderbolt French Toast) but if you could do that page just so I can check it.
The contents pages excluding pic related would be very useful.
And possibly the copyright notice in the back pages, I don't know what page number it is, but the text starts with "Media Lab Books" "For inquiries call" (and perhaps if you could tell me what page number it is)

These are the pages requested from the previous threads.
33 (Brown sugar Snickerdoodles)
112 (Pony Poke Cake)
115 (Cake Pops)
118 (Celebration Cinnamon Rolls)

There's probably more, but the trouble is I generally only know I need a reference when I attempt to start doing them. Please don't feel as though you have to do all the pages right away.

There's a folder with this post number >>36332655 most of the pics are in there as well as the other 2 posts below, hopefully you can find what you need. Thanks for your contribution!

>I don't know what page number it is
there's actually no page numbers, it's like at the very last before the last sheet of paper. (if you see the "copyright notice.jpg" in the folder you know what i mean)

>There's probably more
got it, i'll try to upload if i can, hope image are clear enough for you

>>36332664
>color in the section cloud of this image is correct
i think it's spot on, there might be a bit difference between digital and printed book, idk im not professional. Generally i see it as the same.
>It looks like a darker pink than the top and bottom borders
from my book it looks as it's the same color for top and bottom.

>>36332681
The section cloud text is light pink just like yours,
while the "Makes 9 servings" text, "Ingredients" & "Directions" should be darker/vibrant pink.
The page number at the bottom is darker pink, should be the same color as the "Makes 9 servings", "Ingredients" & "Directions" pink colors.
>>
>>36334290
Thanks so very much anon, a huge help.

Pictures look nice and clear, so no worries there.

Looks like the bundt cake page is good to go and the berry baked oatmeal page just needs the page number color changed.

And the copyright notice is the page before the endsheet/flyleaf, which is good to know.

Anons, I'm desperate enough to ask for help here:
Can any of (You) recommend a mini oven to me? As much as I love my dorm apartment, I don't have an oven. I'm willing to pay up to 200€ (that's like 240 USD), but after reading and comparing online tests, I'm more annoyed than anything and need someone who got their hands on a mini oven tell me "it just werks". Due to lockdowns, I can't go to the stores and fiddle some ovens myself. I already missed out on baking Christmas cookies, I've missed out on my favorite dishes for a year now.
>>
>>36347780
i don't really know much about those,
i just use very smol family oven, i think any over would do just fine, sometimes you might have to find out the perfect temperature for baking, the temperature on the book does not goes well sometimes.
>>

I have no experience with mini ovens but I'm willing to bet they don't work very well. Does your dorm not have a common kitchen?

Thank (You) anons, I'll continue my search. When I want to try the princess pancakes, I'll probably adjust them to work in a pan. Don't have any rice cooker/bread maker/fryer either. And our dorm is divided into basically equal apartments for 1 to 2 persons, and each apartment has the same small, oven-less kitchen.

for me it's super expensive to buy imported store bought dough and can't find any of these in my town. Instead making pie crust from scratch is way easier & cheaper (if real butter is pricy just use cheap ones). For my first time doing it it was a complete mess and i probably fucked up the ratio many times.
But for the second time i just follow this recipe
https://youtu.be/a_GANJFyJ4U?t=68
I don't have fancy equipment so i just use fork instead, it's actually way easier than I expected once i had some experience. Now i enjoyed making the pie crust more than cutting apples.

I've ordered and received a mini oven. Bought some cheap-ass freezer peetzer to see if it works, and it does. So I can finally join you faggots in baking!

Status report: I've successfully baked a cake in it. Not from the mlp baking book, though, but a recipe from the time I baked a cake in the mental hospital. It seems I should use a little less heat than in a normal oven. But yeah, it really looks like I can /bake/ now.
>>
>>36387569
oh shit nice!
yea with those small ovens the heat can come down
also try moving the rack up a slot if you dont need the headroom
>>
>>36387650
Thanks, this aligns with my first impressions, so I'll keep this in mind. It's a very small oven, 19L only, but it's enough for me, space is scarce in a dorm room. 75€ well spent, I'd say.
>>
>>36387569
sometimes the baking book recommended 176-200 Celsius for baking but my old oven is quite small and old so i just follow it's recommended temperature that's 130-150 Celsius instead,

Chimi-Cherry? Cherry-Changa!!!
Hot from the oven!
>>
>>36412506
That looks delicious.
>>
>>36412506
I skipped the cimanone because I don't enjoy it mixed with dark cherries AAAaaNNNND I used frozen dark cherries instead of pie filling. I don't enjoy the gloopy gloppy corn syrup goo. I thawed the cherries and added them on top of the cream filling. I also omitted the vanilla extract because I used vanilla sugar in the cream. A sprinkle of sugar on top of the buttered tortillas and baked. Kept the small taco size tortillas because why have one big one when you can have three of these?!
>>
>>36412519
Not gonna lie, they turned out better than I thought and as they only took a few minutes to bake I will be making these again. I'm gonna wrap one up and save it for my breakfast at work tomorrow.
>>
>>36412539
Also, I baked them on a sheet of non-stick foil so I didn't add any butter or spray to the fan. These are not greasy at all.

They look like little pockets of yum. I like that you made smaller ones.
I like cinnamon so I would have kept that in, but subbing frozen cherries for lame store-bought pie filling was a good move.
Good stuff Anon.

Don't be jealous, make some. Not too gourmet, just cheap and easy. Tortillas are pretty cheap and the cherries I got on sale but you could use some kind of jam or jelly. Also, neufchatel cheese is a little cheaper than cream cheese. (This would even be nic with cimanum and raisins. Pinkie made us a dessert recipe that doesn't take a lot of bits!

how about bake off contest?
picking any recipes available from >>36321018
only being judged by pics, not the taste.
so anon can cheat their way like using glue for icing if it looked good
>>
>>36418752
holy shit the idea of a baking contest got me horny about the idea that some day the shitposting could escalate into doing a full on irony pony chef competition with absurdly high production value

>>
>>36419919
you should try out this recipe anon

>>
>>36420091
I think I might have to at some point.
>>
>>36418808
anyone wanna take charge of hosting a contest?
>>
>>36420953
GAH
I was attending a wedding during the last /mlp/ con so I was not nearly as involved as I could have been, and this time around I am going all in
I will definitely consider participating in something like this but I cannot be the host of it, I've got ideas for several other threads that I will also be involved in
someone please consider taking charge on this though!
in the meantime we can brainstorm about what such a contest might look like
for example, how will the dishes be judged and ranked when they cannot be tasted?
>>
My first time in this general. How many times has it been said already that horses shouldn't eat bread, chocolate, and dairy?
>>
>>36421791
mlp ponies eat pony bread, pony chocolate, and pony dairy
>>
>>36421791
>chocolate
The biggest risk is if you have a racehorse, he can be disqualified if they detect theobromine. It's classed as a performance-enhancing stimulant.
Getting enough to actually poison a horse is unlikely due to their size. Even a dog generally has to eat a whole bar of baker's chocolate to be at risk of death.
That said, you shouldn't give your horse chocolate anyway, it's like a sort of double-caffeine for them.
None of this goes for ponies, as they're clearly as different from IRL equines as humans are from chimpanzees.
>>
>>36421947
>whole bar of baker's chocolate
Also, the more processed it is, the less theobromine will still be present. Heating it breaks it down, so most chocolate candies have very little, which is why I mentioned baker's chocolate. It's much more concentrated.
>>
>>36421778
anyone have ideas for the contest?
it would be silly to judge it based primarily on visual presentation no?
>>
>>36357737
When I made eggnog for the first time in 2019, it was amazing! Awesome taste and texture, easily out classed store bought. When I recently made it, it turned out awful. Ended up being slightly curdled basically. Not exactly sure why, followed the same recipe and made sure to not overheat it. I'm going to retry again sometime soon. Do you guys think ponies like eggnog?

>how will the dishes be judged and ranked when they cannot be tasted?
just by it's looks, or if you want to make it a team effort, as well as judging on how much your pony pal participated (could be a plush/figure/or even digital if u a tech wiz). Maybe extra marks if you can have creative greentext or something to describe.

>>36423987
anon we're on an Image board, not Discord VC ^:)
surely we gotta improvise and make something unique out of it.
some suggestions for place/titles:
>Most fancy bake (the one that looked the nicest)

Back Cover, Had to scale this down for the file size limit.
The food pictures are from a high quality preview image, but the rest of the cover is vector artwork. The barcode is from a barcode generator and it does work.
