"So space travel is a thing. Like, a proper thing here. Not sure how Equus fell into this state if there's colonies on other planets, but it's likely because a mix of infighting and a robot uprising in some sense. We don't know enough about Sky Angels to make any quick judgements, but that fight yesterday probably has something to do with someone vying for power, and given the different lifestyles between Sky Angels and us on the ground, they are either unable or unwilling to do something about this mess."
"Don nue," Sunny shrugs, "Ben lik tis fur a' lung a' tribe nuen."
"Do the Sky Angels interact with you guys down here?" Skip asks her.
"Nott oten," She shakes her head, "Hav sentalenents scutar aroond."

Are we still in the library? We might want to see about moving away from where we are, or at least keeping an eye on the Librarian drone.

"They have settlements here on the ground, or are you talking about your own? What about other tribes, how many are there and do they have better or worse opinions of the Sky Angels? What about non pony races, like griffins, yaks, and dragons, are they still around?"
>>
>>35516850
The four of you begin to move back toward the glass lobby, keeping an eye out for the librarian drone.
"They have settlements here on the ground?" You ask.
Sunny nods.
"What about other tribes, how many are there and do they have better or worse opinions of the Sky Angels?"
"Touthans! Oponins deepind un tribe."
"What about non pony races, like Griffons, Yaks, and Dragons? Are they still around?"

"Good to know they're still around at least. Now, I believe we've got what we came here for, so let's make our way back to the hotel. Unless I'm forgetting something, there isn't much reason to be out and about right now. Do you think the librarian will care too much if I take the holo thing from this place?"

"Nu." She shakes her head.
The four of you go back to the glass lobby and head back down the tower to the ground, heading back outside into the snow the trudging back to the hotel.
A few minutes later the four of you are standing outside the hotel.

Head on in and go see what Artan is up to, if he's up. It would probably be worth educating him a bit on his surroundings, like the different species, history, and some of the local threats, considering he's supposed to be leading the Akigsker, maybe give him the holobook for a bit and make use of Sunny Meadow's knowledge while she's here. Or, we could just check in on him, since he was in poor shape not too long ago, see what his mood is like.

Alternatively, we could train some more with a sword with Lucius, or find a small game to play, though someone is likely waiting for Sunny, so we shouldn't keep her if she has to go. We definitely need to establish a way to get in contact with her though.
>>
>>35517293
The plan was to go to this angel, so we should prepare for it.
Look through some of the rooms looking for basic supplies jackets/coats food and water for everyone and a map of the city if we can find one. Hotels have maps right?
>>
>>35517442
I thought the fallen angel ship was most definitely deep in robot infested territory? Like, you go there to die type stuff, especially considering our lack of armor?
If we went there, we'd be risking Skip and Lucius, and would likely have to expose our changeling nature to Sunny Meadow to survive.
I'm not saying I'm fully against it, but I just really don't recall this plan, and think maybe we should at least let someone know we're going to be going there, as I don't believe we've done that yet. We went to talk to Lucius about that, but ended up bringing him along, if I recall.

You head on inside and go to see Artan, which takes a bit to figure out which floor and which room he was in.
Once you find this set of information you head to his floor and to his room, knocking on the door and waiting a minute before it opens.
"What's going on, Cereza?" He asks.

What do you do?
>>
>>35517663
"Checking in to see how you're doing, and let you know a bit about what we've found out so far about this place. Plus, I'm a little curious about a Sky Angel wreckage, so we might check it out and figured you should probably know, just in case. That is, if you think it's possible to reach, Sunny?"
Turn our head and direct the question at her.

"We can come back another time if you'd like some peace and quiet, but I thought you'd like to be informed of what is going on."

>>35517442
>>35517535(me)
Right, I'm dumb. Looked back and saw it was discussed a bit, but couldn't remember it at all for some reason.
I did see a post about making sure the Akigsker wouldn't get into trouble before we left, and I agree with the sentiment, though we should also probably check that Sunny is willing to guide us there.
>>
>>35517663
Just checking in, seeing how you're settling in. We did find a library of sorts, it'd probably have all the knowledge you'd ever need to figure out how this world works.

>>35517728
This, seconded.
Nah it's alright, memory tends to fade of one cyoa while we do the other two.
I think we did as Sunny though and she was all for it.

>>35517535
If I recall correctly they're only enforcing a curfew, at least lore wise. Should we go out early enough and hide during the night we should be fine. Besides that the crash was on the outside of the city so we're only passing through robot territory.

"Just checking in, seeing how you're settling in. "Carfuey, ys." She nods.
"We can come back another time if you'd like some peace and quiet, but I thought you'd like to be informed of what is going on."
He leans back to think for a moment before sighing.
"What's going to be trying to kill us this time?" He asks.

What do you do?
>>
>>35518274
Actually you're in luck, this world is similar in way to my own. Though many many times more advanced.
On the flip side you have to contend with all that new technology, including robots.
Sunny can probably tell you more about them then I could, but all in all despite how scary it all was we did manage to land in a place much better then before.
There are tribes of ponies and such you may have to worry about as well but I know even less about them.
>>
>>35518274
"Relatively little, if you're smart about it. This place is a different version of the world we came from and are trying to get back to, more advanced, but also less. The primary threat would be robots, who are mostly interested in enforcing a curfew, though they may also have gone insane, so there's that to consider. The primary race you'll interact with around here would be ponies in tribes, not inherently friendly, and quite jumpy, but making an enemy of them would make things very difficult, though there do exist several other species, such as Yaks to the north, Buffalo to the south, the rare griffons, and the rarer dragons. There may be some other races as well, but they are likely in hiding, if they still exist. The local fauna can be very dangerous, but you'd need to leave the city for that. The last potential threat would be the Sky Angels and their flying ships. Not sure exactly the species of Sky Angels, but they're likely ponies living off the remnants of their advanced tech. They don't target those on the ground, and fights are rare, but a lot is still unknown about them, which is why we have to go look at the crashed ship. Also, here."
Hoof him the holobook.
"Probably safer with you, it's a history book, if you want to learn a bit about the area. Anything else I can answer, or things we should be looking for while out and about?"

Should we tell Artan about changelings? The Akigsker likely have the basic concept of them from Shifters, but we could also try instilling the logic that they aren't as bad. At the same time, he'd likely question our sources.

>>35518430
Seconded.

"...Alright," He nods, "May I question this Sunny for a bit? I want to be as prepared as possible."

What do you do?
>>
>>35518762
Give him a smile.
"If Sunny is comfortable with that, then sure. Just bare in mind she's got a dialect/accent that takes some getting used to."
Step aside so he's got a clear view of Sunny, assuming we're in the way. When we do, try to sense everyone's emotions, just to try and gauge everyone's mood and mental health.
Assuming Sunny is nervous about spending some time alone with someone of an unfamiliar species, or just uncertain:
"If you would prefer, Sunny, I could stick around for a bit."

"Now, if that's all, Artan, we'll be taking our leave. Send her up to the penthouse when you to are done talking."

It's tempting as hell to suggest we tease Sunny a little about spending some time alone with a 'stallion', but I can't think of anything that would be appropriate, and it's not like we know her that well. Maybe just a simple "Have fun, you two." with a slight inflection or something.
>>
>>35518762
Ask her, if she says yes I'll spend the time scraping together some supplies so it's no skin off my nose.
Motion for Sunny to respond and turn our head to look at her.

Stopping for the night.
Have a good night or day!

>>35519003
Make our way to the penthouse, since there isn't much point to standing in the hall.
"So, any ideas what we should bring? Or at least what we should do until Artan is done with Sunny? We've got food, weapons of questionable use, camping supplies, and medicine, and I'm fairly confident that we won't find much around this place. I'd be okay with resting a bit in preparation of the trip, but at the same time, I'm not all that tired. Either of you could also opt to sit this one out, considering this little venture is for information, rather than the necessity of traveling through the DOoRs."

The three of you head over to the penthouse.
"So any ideas what we should bring," You ask; trotting into the living room, "Or at least what we should do until Artan is done with Sunny? We've got food, weapons of questionable use, camping supplies, and medicine, and I'm fairly confident that we won't find much around this place. I'd be okay with resting a bit in preparation of the trip, but at the same time, I'm not all that tired."
"We could go scrap together some armor from the Akigskers." Lucius suggests.

What do you do?
>>
>>35521650
"Good idea, Lucius. It would be good to at least have some basic stuff, yeah. Not sure how well most of their stuff will fit us, and we'll have to be careful about moving around in it, since it might attract the robots attention if we're not careful, but I'd definitely prefer some armor to none."
Head down to the foyer and look to see if some Akigsker are hanging out down there. It would probably be better to talk to them there then go from door to door asking if they have armor.
>>
>>35521762

The three of you then head down to the foyer to see if there were any Akigskers hanging about. There were a hooffull of them hanging around, mostly relaxing or talking with each other.
A few were actually selling the little goods that they had available though, using what money they had for it.

What do you do?
>>
>>35522188
Keeping separate from the Akigsker, talk amongst our group for a little bit so we can make a plan, trying to get a basic inventory of what we have and what they're selling based on a cursory glance.
"Too bad we don't have any cards, these guys look like they could use some entertainment. Really hope they don't decide to raid this place's mini bar, cause that would probably be a bit of trouble, even if they do deserve to relax."
Sit down and think out loud for a moment.
"So, we're probably going to have to barter for most of our goods. They likely won't want food too much, since the rooms seem to be stocked, and most of our other stuff can't be spared."
Turn to look at Skip and Lucius.
"Maybe I'm over thinking this, we've still got some of their money, right?"
>>
>>35522387
You keep the three of you separated from the Akigsker for now and start to talk amongst yourselves.
"Too bad we don't have any cards, these guys look like they could use some entertainment," You comment, "Really hope they don't decide to raid this place's minibar, cause that would probably be a bit of trouble, even if they do deserve to relax."
"I do worry about what'll happen when they get bored," Skip agrees, "What they'll do in search of entertainment."
"Soldiers and boredom don't mix well." Lucius notes.
You sit down and think out loud for a moment.
"So we're probably going to have to barter for most of our goods," You say, "They likely won't want food too much, since the rooms seem to be stocked, and most of our other stuff can't be spared."
You turn to look at Skip and Lucius.
"Maybe I'm over thinking this, we've still got some of their money, right?"
"I got a couple Septems left." Skip nods.
"I didn't spend too much so I think I have the most," Lucius replies, "Hopefully, Septems still have a value to them."

What do you do?
>>
>>35522536
Well it looks like it still does for some, even if it's useless in this world. Let's see what they're selling.
>>
>>35522536
"It'll have some sentimental value at the very least, and they'll certainly get more out of it then we will carrying it around for the rest of our journey. Maybe we hold on to a couple if we can, as a souvenir, but we should probably check out what they've got first."
>>
>>35522536
They would be little more then a relic of their old home. Some may want them for that reason but... Well, I imagine not all of them would want another reminder of what they've lost.
We'll see if we can find one of them who will trade for them I guess.
>>
>>35522573

"It'll have sentimental value at the very least, and they'll certainly get more out of it then us carrying it around for the rest of our journey, though I imagine not all of them would want another reminder of what they've lost. Let's see what they're selling."
You go up to one of the Akigsker that was selling things and look at their wares.
It was mostly weapons.

What do you do?
>>
>>35522733
'Don't especially need weapons, as they probably won't be especially effective against the robots, not in comparison to our guns, but it can't hurt to look around a bit. Plus, I need a sword for practicing at least.'
Spend a moment browsing their weapons, looking at the condition of them, and trying to figure out if any of them would be a good fit for us, deferring to Lucius for insight.
"Hey Lucius, you think any of these would work well for me?"
>>
>>35522733
Dont we have the 40k weapons still?

What happens to stuff we are carrying when we shapeshift. Armor might not be a good idea for us given...

Maybe we could trade one of the guns? We cant use all of them and it would be very helpful for them...
>>
>>35522733
Move on to the next, we need food and water more then anything else.

>>35522998
No, they were too big for us to take, like a toddler wielding an anti tank rifle.
>>
>>35522951
>>35522998
>>35523203
'Don't especially need weapons, as they probably won't be especially effective against the robots, not in comparison to our guns, but it can't hurt to look around a bit. Plus, I need a sword for practicing at least.'
You spend a moment browsing the weapons until you come across a sword. It was average in terms of it's looks, nothing too spectacular about the design. Besides that though, it looked to be well taken care of.
"Hey Lucius, you think any of these would work well for me?" You ask.
"Maybe the sword," He replies, "But we can think about it for a bit."
The three of you move on to the next seller who was selling armor. Most of the armor was leather though and were only random pieces of armor instead of an entire set.

What do you do?
>>
>>35523255
Some armor would be nice... Do either of you two want it though? I don't need it realistically.
>>
>>35523255
Sort through them. Protection for head and chest take priority, and Skip and Lucius get first pick on armor since we're able to change shape, but it would be good to get something basic. Lucius has his mask at least.
If the seller allows it, pick up a helmet or chestpiece and compare it to our body, to see how much tailoring/smithing might be required to make the fit better, if any.

Also, we should probably get that sword, if it's not too expensive and we have the Septems left over.

>>35523478
This.
There is an arguement to be made that it's better to have and not need, and if Sunny is traveling with us, it might be nice to have the guise of needing it, but if we're wearing armor when we shapeshift, it could very well get in the way.
>>
>>35523478
>>35523520
"Some armor would be nice," You mutter; turning to the two stallions, "Do either of you want it though? I don't need it realistically."
"I would like some." Skip replies.
You begin to sort through the armor that was available, protection for the head and chest being a priority as you and Skip search through it.
The two of you eventually pick out a head piece that vaguely fit his head and a chest piece that only covered the front of his body.
"You have anything... better?" Skip asks the Akigsker.
"No," The Akigsker shakes his head, "Nothing that would fit you if you feel like asking around."

What do you do?
>>
>>35524068
"I think this is the best we're going to get for now. Depending on how long we decide to stick around, we might be able to get it refitted by someone from Sunny's tribe, but it's up to you whether you want to get it."
>>
>>35524068
Yep, it was lucky enough he had something that even remotely fit you, whoever made it wasn't thinking of a pony when they made it.

Skip goes silent as he thinks for a moment.
"...It's better than no armor I guess," He sighs, "How much is it?"
"Twenty-five Septems."
"I got it."
Lucius comes over and gives the Akigsker the required amount of Septems.
"You think we can somehow take our ropes and use it to tie the chest piece to my chest?" Skip asks you.

What do you do?
>>
>>35526433
"Probably, but we're gonna need padding for it I'd say. If we just use normal rope, it's gonna rub against your hide everytime you move, which may be fine for a bit, but will suck before too long. Not entirely sure we'll be able to find a more comfortable rope around here, or how much better we can make the rope we do have, but we'll have to make do."
Take a look at how much rope we have, comparing it against the chest piece, and drawing upon our limited knowledge of ropes and binds from when we used them in our work. Glance around to see how much the Akigsker are paying attention before looking back at Skip.
"Given time, I may be able to 'find' (make) some silk as an alternative, or wax to coat the rope, but we're gonna need some more mundane methods to improve it. Fortunately, we're in a hotel that can presumably fabricate stuff, so we've got a lot of bedsheets available to us."

"Sounds like a plan, just let me get that sword, then we can head on up and take care of that. Unless you two think some of the other vendors have stuff we should look at?"
There currently wasn't any other vendors right now so you get the sword and sheath for it and then head back up to the penthouse.
You and Skip then go back into the bedroom. Green takes the opportunity to scamper onto the bed and curl up on the blankets.

Snort and hop up onto the bed with him, dropping our disguise for the moment now that we've got some privacy before patting his head/the top of him and scratching under his chin.
"Come on, Green, you walking bowling ball, we need these sheets. We'll get you some sheets of your own later if you really want."
If he continues to be unhelpful, and doesn't take the hint when we nudge him towards the edge of the bed, gently lift him with our magic and move him to the floor.

He doesn't listen even when you nudge him to the edge of the bed with his legs now sticking up in the air. You let him stay like that for a minute before using your magic to gently lift him and move him onto the floor.
"I'll take him to the couch if he wants to lay on something," Skip says, "C'mon Green!"
Skip picks him up and carries him out of the bedroom, coming back a minute later without Green.

Pull the sheets from the bed and lay them out on the floor, removing the suture kit from the med kit, and preparing a small blade if we have one, either making our hoof bladed when needed or giving ourself claws if we don't.
"So, you got any ideas for the binding and sheets? I was thinking something basic like an hourglass-esque shape, with a length at the top through two loops, before going down and across in an X until it reaches two more loops, where it comes back together again in a knot. As for the sheets, a rudimentary shirt, or just a sheet folded and sewn together and placed on your back might be a start, maybe a combination of the two if we have time and the resources. I'll need to know roughly how big to make it though."

"Alright. Can you lay down on your back on the sheets? I'll cut out a vague outline of you, then it's just a matter of sewing them together along the seems, and then flipping it all inside out."
Once he's in place, begin quickly cutting the fabric, leaving several inches of space around him, and a bit more around his barrel/chest.

No problem, those shapes should be easy enough. This isn't one of my many skills so please forgive me if there is some rough edges.

You fold down the sheet so that you could cut a patter into multiple layers at once.
"No problem, those shapes should be easy enough. This isn't one of my many skills so please forgive me if there is some rough edges," You say, "Can you lay down on your back on the sheets? I'll cut out a vague outline of you, then it's just a matter of sewing them together along the seams, and then flipping it all inside out."
He lays down on the sheets where you start to quickly cut the fabric away, leaving several inches of space around him as you work, and a bit more around his chest and barrel.
After a few minutes you get everything cut out for him.

What do you do?
>>
>>35528325
Use the cut out as a stencil, laying it down over another section of fabric and cutting that out next.
Before sewing the two pieces together pin them to each other and hand it to Skip.
Here try it on and see how it fits, it'll be easier to adjust if we do this now.
>>
>>35528325
"You can get up now, Skip. I wager the bed may be a bit more comfortable to sit on than the floor while you wait."
When he does get up, give him a quick kiss on the cheek before getting back to work.
Before we begin sewing, double check that the layers are aligned as good as we can get them, using our magic to make sure they're not going to go anywhere.

>>35528391
It was folded together so that multiple identical pieces were cut out of the sheet at once, so we shouldn't need a stencil to cut out more, unless we're doing it on another sheet for even more layers. So, unless I'm mistaken, the first line may be a little redundant.
Other than that, Seconded.
I wouldn't have thought of pinning them together before hand, smart thinking.
>>
Stopping for the night.
Have a good night or day!
>>
>>35528449
My mistake, that was a clever idea though double layering it. Might not be a bad idea to have a spare ready for when the current one disintegrates.

I know enough about sewing to know sewing is a pain even with hands.

Seconded.
>>
>>35528526
Night, Pluto!

>>35528551
Thank you!
Agreed, having a back up would be good. Not like we can make one as easily while on the move, and we've got the sheets already removed from the bed. My only concern with having Skip wear a shirt is if he overheats. It's nearish to winter, so he'll be fine around here, and I doubt we'll be back into a desert so quick after the last one, but a rainforest could be just as hot, or worse.

"You can get up now, Skip. I wager the bed may be a bit more comfortable to sit on than the floor while you wait."
He gets up and trots over onto the bed, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek before you get back to work. You double check that the layers were as aligned as you could make them, using your magic to make them stay as you sew the two pieces together.
The process of sewing the two fabrics together takes a while, but you eventually finish it and show it to Skip.
"Here, try it on and see how it fits, it'll be easier to adjust if we do this now." You tell him.
He takes the shirt and throws it on, looking it over once it was in place.
"...Fits pretty good." He says.

"Good to know. Maybe I should become a seamstress when we get back, start my own line of clothing made from repurposed fabrics."
Giggle a little at the idea.
"Alright, let's get that chest piece secured and see how comfortable this is. Maybe we can make a spare shirt while we've got everything out and ready, but let's not get ahead of ourselves."
Placing the chest piece in place, we say.
"Hold this."
Moving to stand behind him with the rope, working to secure it with our magic in the pattern we discussed before.

(Sorry, cramming for a dive test, didn't notice the time)

He takes a hoof to pulls at the rope to tighten it a little.

"Want me to get the for you?"
Help him if he needs it adjusted.

Move our hooves to his shoulders, rubbing them for a moment, passively trying to figure out how tense his muscles and back are, and help him relax a little.
"The real test will come when you have to walk long distances with this thing on. Go ahead and walk around the room, see how it feels. I'll make a quick back up shirt then clean this stuff up while you do."
Using the scraps/hole in the fabric for reference, cut another shirt out and quickly sew it together, before tossing the majority of the sheets in whatever bin we can see, taking the good pieces we can salvage and turning them into strips, so that we can use them for kindling or bandages later.
From there, put everything away and don our disguise (if we aren't currently wearing it).
>>
>>35531783
"Want me to get that for you?" You ask.
"That would be great."
You grab the ropes in your hooves and adjust them slightly for him, getting them into a better position that would help them stay. You then move your hooves to his shoulders, rubbing them for a moment as you try to figure out how tense his muscles and back were, and helping him to relax a bit by giving him a quick massage.
Neither of you had a lot of time to relax throughout all this.
"The real test will come when you have to walk long distances with this thing on," You tell him; gently massaging his back, "Go ahead and walk around the room, see how it feels. I'll make a quick back up shirt then clean this stuff up while you do."
"Do I have to," He asks; sounding relax as he lays his head on the bed, "This feels nice."

"You're the one whose gonna have to wear it, so don't blame me if it doesn't feel quite right because you didn't want to test it."
Despite our badgering, we turn into a petite version of ourself and carefully step onto his lower back as well, wings at the ready to help balance ourself or reduce our weight on him, all four hooves working away a different spots. With our magic, we begin delicately working the back of his head and neck as well.

He practically melts into your hooves, his limbs going limp as he lets out a content sigh, his body flattening onto the bed.
"Definitely needed this." He murmurs.

Really? All you needed to do was ask, we all deserve and need to relax every once in a while and I'm more then happy to help.
Work his shoulders and flanks for a while pushing deeply into his muscles working the tension out of them, working our way down each of his limbs open up our senses and take little sips on his emotions.

Lean down to talk more quietly with him, not wanting to be overheard.
"If you're feeling daring though, perhaps you could even try your hoof at working scales again in that rematch with the princess, as I doubt she was quite satisfied with your initial work. Later though, Artan won't keep Sunny occupied forever, plus Lucius is still around."

"We'll see. I have to finish with you first... and I think it would be uncomfortable to have that armor pressing into my back through out."
Working a bit of changeling magic, we slowly heat our hooves, letting Skip get used to them as we press and pull on his back, only stopping once they approach the verge of discomfort.
"I'm no master masseuse, but maybe we could make this a regular thing. I teach you a few of my tricks, you practice and show me what you've learned, and then we go from there."

>>35532657
Thanks. I remembered that Skip gave her a brief massage out of the blue, and thought to reference her, since she was fun. Hell, for this post, I considered suggesting we change into her for a moment to tease Skip, but that's a bit too spicy, and I'm pretty sure Lucius could probably walk in at any moment.

Assuming he decides to drift even lower, let him go about his business for a bit to see what he does before parting an eyelid to look at him.
"Careful, if you get me too excited now, I will find a way to make you wish you hadn't."
Drop the disguise on our eyes and teeth, flashing him a fanged grin, keeping our tone playful but making sure he knows it's not an empty threat.

Kinda feel that I shouldn't preempt/presume what he's going to do, but it just seems like the way he's gonna go.

Let out a not so quiet moan, biting our lip to try and keep from moaning that loud again, giving Skip a somewhat apologetic grin for being loud.

Loll out our tongue and let out a tiny moan, our wings twitch slightly letting off a slight buzzing sound when they do is he gets near their base.
Look back at him over our shoulder with one eye and smiling warmly at him.

Even then, I hope we find enough to make the trip worth while. It's a little tempting to just head for the DOoR and put all this craziness behind us, but we have the chance to rest here for a bit, and after all the effort we put into getting the Akigsker here, I'd prefer to know they were safe. "You know I'm game if you are, Skip. I mean, surely it can't hurt to check in on our two friends out of concern, something could be holding them up, we should see whats keeping them it's only what a good friend would do after all. Now come on, I like spending time with you on this bed, but we've got a mystery to solve."
He gets off of you and lets you get up in turn, the two of you then heading out of the bedroom and into the living room where Lucius and Green were.
"We're going?" Lucius asks; Green getting off of his place on the couch.

What do you do?
>>
>>35544924
Shake our head at him, petting Green if he decides to wander over.
"Just stretching our legs and going to see what's keeping them. The two of you can stay here and relax a bit longer while you can, seeing as we're going to be spending quite a bit of time on our hooves for the next little while. We'll be back shortly, with Sunny in tow hopefully."
"Green, stay with Lucius."

Tried not to be dismissive, but it still feels obvious that we're urging them to stay.

>>35544779
Makes sense. I think my main hang up is that it seems like it would be rude to peek in on them, though I can ignore that. Cereza seems a bit morally loose about sex anyway.
>>
>>35545141
You shake your head at Green, petting him when he wanders over.
"Just stretching our legs and going to see what's keeping them. The two of you can stay here and relax a bit longer while you can, seeing as we're going to be spending quite a bit of time on our hooves for the next little while. We'll be back shortly, with Sunny in tow hopefully."
You look down at Green.
"Green, stay with Lucius."
Green gives you a derpy look, but otherwise doesn't follow you as you and Skip descend down to Artan's level, heading over to his door to find that it was still closed.

What do you do?
>>
>>35545768
We hold our hoof to our mouth, to signal for Skip to keep quiet, before motioning for him to keep watch on the hallway in case someone comes along.
Look at the peephole in the door, and the bottom of the door, watching for moving shadows or other things to indicate that they might be near the door.
If it's all clear, press our ear to the door, being careful not to lean on it too much and accidentally make a noise, slowly increasing our hearing with changeling magic until we hear something or it becomes obvious that we're going to make ourself deaf before we hear through the door. Realizing we missed something quite simple, we use our emotion sense as well, trying to pick up on their presence and a vague sense of their moods.

I love Green. Not even that much of a dog person, but he's just so silly.
>>
>>35545948
You hold a hoof to your mouth, signaling to Skip to keep quiet, motioning for him to keep watch on the hallway.
You look through the peephole of the door but don't see much from there, similarly looking at the bottom of the door doesn't yield much information either.
Getting an all clear from Skip, you press your ear to the door, being careful not to lean too much into it and make noise. Slowly, you increase your hearing with magic until you could hear the two of them speaking.
"Thank you for answering most of my many questions, Sunny."
"Nu proelem."
Seems like they were just starting to wrap up.

What do you do?
>>
Stopping for the night.
Have a good night or day!
>>
>>35546175
Frown slightly, feeling relieved that things didn't go bad, but also a little disappointed at getting ourself a little hyped up over nothing, though that feeling slowly turns into curiosity.
'Well, guess they weren't up to anything unusual. Glad to know they seem to be getting off to a good start, and it's not like I should really use my experience to gauge how others interact all the time. Sunny and I are quite different mares, and Artan can be hard to read, even if his motives are pretty simple at the moment.'
Listen in a little longer, maybe we can glean some information on how they interacted through the conversation based what they say here, to learn a bit more about them as individuals.

If we hear them get close to the door, turn our ears back to normal, back up a few steps, raise our hoof as if to knock, and act surprised when the door opens.

A little unsure of my post, as I'm not sure I got the thought quite right.

Whisper back to him.

Happy 4th of July to everyone!

You frown slightly, feeling relieved that things didn't go bad, but also a little disappointed at getting yourself a little hyped up over nothing, though that feeling slowly turns to curiosity.
You look towards Skip and shake your head to confirm to him that nothing was going on, opening your emotional sense up.
"Seems like we're either a bit early or late, but it's more likely it isn't going to happen." You whisper.
Artan was apparently feeling relieved while Sunny was indifferent.
Through your hearing, you hear them start to approach the door. You turn your ears back to normal and retreat a few steps, raising a hoof up as if you were about to knock. A few seconds later the door opens with Artan and Sunny standing there, you acting surprise at the door opening.
"Sorry for taking so long, I had a lot of questions for her." Artan apologizes.

What do you do?
>>
>>35549659
Back up a few steps to give them space and smile.
"That's okay, we've certainly got questions of our own, though I think a good portion of them are questions that Sunny is curious about as well. Now that you know a little bit more, what's your assessment of everything so far Artan?"

We do our best to keep our face straight.
"I'm glad things seem to be off to a good start. Depending on how things go, there is a decent chance that the two of you might be interacting a fair bit more in the future. I assume that if you're sticking around, you're going to have to be in touch with her tribe, and vis versa."

(Happy 4th of July! Also, Happy belated Canada Day!)

You back up a few steps to give them some space and smile.

"I'm glad things seem to be off to a good start. Depending on how things go, there is a decent chance that the two of you might be interacting a fair bit more in the future. What's your assessment of everything so far, Artan?"
"Well she filled me in on a few dangers here and the situation as well," He says, "I think we could possibly make a living here if we're careful."

What do you do?
>>
>>35549988
Smile genuinely and nod our head.
That's really good news, I think you can actually do it. You've got the determination and moxie to do it.
If you're careful and learn quickly nothing will stop you.
Do you have a plan?
>>
>>35549988
"Good to hear. Not sure how many would want to move, now that they've got some food, shelter, and water. This seems similar to our home at least, and from the sound of things, as you've said, so long as you're smart about it, you should be good here. Not sure how long we're going to be sticking around, maybe a couple days if we're lucky, but we're gonna have to go eventually. If there's anything we can do to help, don't be a stranger."

"Once the winter is gone we'll start trying to farm on the roof," He replies, "Don't have much of a plan besides that but I'll think of something."

What do you do?
>>
>>35550255
Not a bad plan, think about how much food you'll need to grow to support yourself all year round, get a variety of crops and figure out which ones you want to cultivate and what they need.
Make some emergency plans, so if something goes wrong everyone knows where to go.
I'll leave you to it, we may or may not be back but I want to really thank you for all the help.
>>
>>35550255
"If you can get some earth ponies to help you with that, and maybe some pegasi to turn water into rain clouds, you'll probably have a good deal more luck with that. It's also probably worth constructing a basic greenhouse structure, and doing some basic planning ahead regarding how many rooms you've got available versus population, as well as area on the roof you have to work with compared to the number of mouths to feed. Take it one step at a time though, you've got this, and you have others to support you, so rely on them."

>>35550374
Seconding.

We've put a lot into getting these guys here, so anything we can do to keep them safe would be good.

"Thank you for your help as well," He thanks you, "You could have left us in the desert to die, but you didn't. Thanks for that."

Shake our head a couple times then look him in the eyes.
I suppose I could have, but there is no way I would have. Not after seeing just how nightmarish it is there.
I wish you the best of luck, I do need to get going no telling how much time we have here.
Start walking to the door, look back at him shooting him a smile and wave a hoof.

>>35550396
Yeah you're right, empathy is surprisingly one of her main character traits. The effort was worth it hopefully.
>>
>>35550537
"We were in the right place at the right time, and you guys would've likely died without help. I'd like to think that anyone would've done the same, or at least the bare minimum. I hate to cut this short though, but it would probably be best we leave soon, as I'd rather we be back as soon as possible."
Head back to the penthouse. If we get the chance, maybe we ask Sunny a few questions along the way.
"So, what did he ask you about, if you don't mind me asking."

>>35550625
I'd say it's ironic for a changeling to have empathy, but it isn't.
This, though I believe we're standing in the hallway.

You wave a hoof and then the three of you leave down the hall back to the elevator.
"So what did he ask you about, if you don't mind me asking." You ask Sunny.
"Lucl denjars, and ponis." She replies with a shrug.

What do you do?
>>
>>35550809
"Yeah, I guess even with us around, he would still have some questions about ponies. So, you up for the trip? Sounds like it could be dangerous, but better to find out what we can while we can. From what you said, those ships going down seems like it's a rare occurrence."
Head back to the penthouse and collect Lucius and Green.

"I have been meaning to ask, do you have any trouble understanding us at all?" You ask her.

The three of you get into the elevator and up to the penthouse, stepping out into the living room.

What do you do?

>>35554635
Walk up to the couch and pat Green on the head before turning to look at Lucius.
"We're back with Sunny. You ready to go, and got all your stuff? Don't want to accidentally forget anything and only realize it when we're halfway there."

Before we go, double check that we've got all our own stuff packed and that our bag is securely on our back as well.
>>
>>35554753
You trot up to the couch and give Green a pat, his little stub of a tail wagging causing his entire body to wage in turn. As you pet him you look at Lucius.
"We're back with Sunny. You ready to go, and got all your stuff? Don't want to accidentally forget anything and only realize it when we're halfway there."
"Yep." He nods.
You quickly make sure that you had everything in your backpack and even had your backpack. Skip does the same and was now wearing his shirt and armor again.

What do you do?
>>
>>35554908
Then let's go, the less time we spend standing around the more time we'll have to make it there.
Grab our bag and start to head towards the exit.
>>
>>35554908
That's everything. You?
>>

"Right, let's get going. No sense in wasting sunlight, and it would be good to see the wreck before anything has more of a chance to tamper with it."

>>35555083
"That's everything," You nod, "You?"
"I got everything." Skip confirms.
"Let's get going then, the less time we spend standing around the more time we'll have to make it there."
With everyone ready the four of you, including Green, head down the elevator and out of the hotel. Once outside, Sunny quickly gets ahead of all of you trotting through the snow towards the direction of the crashed Sky Angel.
"Felw ee," She commands, "Noeh irecten."

What do you do?
>>
>>35555163
Nod and chase after her.
"No arguments here, lead the way."
While we're traveling, try and take in our surroundings, looking for landmarks, taking in a few street names and stuff like that. We're going to have to navigate back here, and it's better we make sure we know the way, as well as watch for danger. We've spent so long in forests, deserts, and tundra recently, all while following an arrow, so our urban navigation might not be that great right now.
>>
>>35555304
You nod and follow after her.
"No arguments here, lead the way."
As the five of you travel you try to take in your surroundings looking around for any landmarks like street names. Besides the massive tower way off in the distance there weren't any landmarks that stood out to you besides the street names on every corner.
For a few minutes you are led by Sunny through the streets until you reached the giant cable from earlier, then following the cable up for the next several minutes on it's path of destruction, buildings and the old remains of cars crushed under it's massive weight in a wave debris from where the cable landed.
After several minutes of following the cable you begin to notice that the buildings were starting to look more dilapidated and ruined along with more buildings that were just piles of rubble with nothing left.
"Ee en robbut eretori," Sunny informs all of you; suddenly stopping, "Keap ies und eers upun fur robbuts."
After saying this she pulls out her railgun, checking it over quickly before continuing along.

What do you do?
>>
>>35555537
Pull our own machine gun in turn and ready it following her lead, keep our head on a swivel.
After a moment in a flash of fire after she's looked away transform our eyes and ears to make them work as well as we can manage while keeping the changes subtle.
>>
>>35555537
Adjust our sword and sheath, as well as our gun in our bag (if we've got it) to make sure our weapons are well within reach.

>>35555710
Seconded.
>>
>>35555710
>>35555835
You adjust your sword and sheath as well as pulling out your machine gun. Skip pulls out his shotgun, and Lucius gets his sword ready for anything. Green just looks at all of you in confusion but tenses up anyway.
Once you were all ready you follow Sunny down the street. With a flash of fire after she's looking away you transform your eyes and ears to make them work as well as you could manage while keeping the changes subtle.
The five of you head down a few streets in silence, all on the look out for any noises or strange sights. As you were all turning a corner Sunny suddenly retreats and has you all hide behind the building at the corner.
"Sun-"
"Shhhhh!"
You keep quiet and listen for a moment.
"...C-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-uuuuuurrrrrfew..."
You peek around the corner to find, just halfway down the street, was a robot. The robot was shaped like a pony with grey and rusting armor. It appeared to be heavily damaged however, it's lower half appearing to have been ripped completely off exposing sparking wires that trailed behind it, it's right front leg looked to have been ripped off as well leaving it only with it's left front leg to stiffly drag it along, it's head had been ripped off but was still connected to the body by a bunch of wires.
"*skkkkkkkrrrrrrrr* -ffect, remaaaaaain i-i-i-i-i-in your homesssssss."

What do you do?
>>
>>35555929
Stare at it for a few moments more then lean back behind the corner and look at Sunshine questioningly. Trusting her experience in the matter even if it does look broken beyond functioning.
Whisper as quietly as we can.
What now?
>>
>>35555929
Pull back into cover and mouth to her.
"What if we attack it from behind? It's damaged, and we could take it out easily enough from the looks of things. Would it draw in more of them though?"

This.
Though, her name is Sunny Meadow. We could call her Sunshine as a nickname, but it feels a bit too like one a parent would use.

You stare at the robot for a few moments then pull back into cover looking at Sunny questioningly.
"What now," You whisper, "It's damaged, and we could take it out easily enough from the looks of things. Would it draw in more of them though?"
She looks back at the robot for a few seconds and then back at you.
"Ee gott et."
She sets down her pack and pulls out a sword made of a strange, blue metal. She looks it over carefully before getting up and suddenly charging out of cover brandishing the sword in a wing.
The robot reacts by trying to turn itself towards Sunny, but it was way too slow, Sunny's sword easily cutting through the wires that still held it's head causing the head to go skipping down the street by several feet.
She then assumes a defensive stance and waits a minute. When nothing else happens she relaxes and waves the four of you over.

What do you do?
>>
>>35556658
Slowly trudge over to her looking all around for any movements while perking up our ears to catch the sounds of rusty metal scraping against itself.
When we reach her look her dead in the eyes and still speaking quietly say.
You're pretty quick, nice job.
>>
>>35556658
Walk up beside her, studying the broken parts to see whether we could turn into one of them, or at least try to identify weak points and sensitive components, now that it's mostly exposed.
'Probably can't become one of them easily, since they likely have an IFF and some basic radio function, as well as probably some basic changeling countermeasure of some sort. Would make a wicked Nightmare Night costume though.'
"I assume taking out the head isn't always enough to take these guys down."

"So, there anything worth salvaging from this thing? We probably don't have any use for most of this stuff, but you've got stuff that could probably use parts from it."

>>35556484
No worries, thought that might've been the case. Also thought it might've been an auto correct thing of some sort.

>>35556744

You slowly trudge over to her looking all around for any movements while also studying the broken parts.
'Probably can't become one of them easily, since they likely have an IFF and some basic radio function, as well as probably some basic Changeling countermeasure of some sort. Would make a wicked Nightmare Night costume though.'
When the four of you reach her you look her dead in the eyes and say quietly.
"You're pretty quick. I assume taking out the head isn't always enough to take these guys down."
"Ys." She nods.
Your eyes then fall upon the remains of the robot. Even with parts missing you could tell that it was taller than you in your normal form. You also notice a bunch of large hooves in the snow around the robot along with a random pile of parts and wires near where the robot was ripped in half. The circle of giant hooves continues around for a while until one set of them suddenly branches off into a large hole in a nearby building.
Sunny takes a moment to look over the scene, her eyes going over the hoofprints, then to the pile of parts, and finally the robot.
"...Technomancer." She grumbles.
"Technomancer?" Skip echoes.

What do you do?

>>35557033
Magic and tech right, is someone using the robots somehow so you know them or just know if them? In any case we should probably get moving. The less time we speak around here the better.
>>
>>35557033
"So, someone already tampered with this thing, or at least salvaged it for parts? Are they worth interacting with? Technomancy in a world of robots sounds useful, but you make it sound like it's a bad thing. They're probably worth investigating at the very least, though I'd be a bit cautious, considering what two of us are wearing." (The bomb collars, don't want to give it away immediately, since they could be listening in.)

"What is a Technomancer?" You ask.
"Majek poni wit pourer controlle robbuts," She explains, "Use tem fur oen poporse. Technomancer use oen robbut atach tes robbut fur puerts, lev afeter."
"So the Technomancer salvaged it for parts," You guess, "Are they worth interacting with? Technomancy in a world of robots sounds useful, but you make it sound like it's a bad thing."
"Nu," She shakes her head, "Moest Technomancers bedd, oten atach tribes wit robutts ur Cyborgs."
"We should probably get moving then," You say, "The less time we speak around here the better."
Sunny nods in agreement and leads the four of you along, silence reigning for a while.
"...Honestly sounds kinda interesting." Skip mutters to you.

What do you do?
>>
>>35559886
Glance at Sunny and see if she heard him, nuzzling him, and replying at the same volume if she didn't, or just talking normally if she clearly did.
"Can't say that it isn't, but we need to be careful. It might be worth investigating, since we're still close to where the Akigsker are, and they'd likely be drawn to the hotel because it's got electricity, but our equipment is probably outclassed, and we're on a time limit. Barring some 'unconvential' stealth tactics,"
Looking at Skip, flash our eyes to our changeling ones for a split second, once we're sure Sunny can't see them, then subtly tilt our head toward Sunny to show our reluctance.
"We'd be either trying to talk to someone who may not want company, or assaulting a heavily fortified position with inadequate equipment. So, a normal day for us, except we aren't really required to risk our lives in this case. That said, it might be worth doing a little looking around while we're passing though, even if it isn't possible to pick up on any of their magic."
Extend our emotion sense (and even our hivemind, if we can do it) out to it's limit, trying to pick up on any living thing around, or see if robots have any sort of presence to us.
'I'd also prefer you and Lucius weren't around someone that could possibly tamper with your collars, not without reason anyway. But I'd rather you two weren't reminded of that fact.'

"Wait, Sunny, you said Cyborgs. Like, actual Cyborgs? I guess Lysander was one, but, I don't know, the fact that this is Equestria in a way makes it a little different. I guess I shouldn't be surprised."

(Sorry about the wall of text)

You glance at Sunny, if she had heard you she didn't care so you nuzzle Skip, replying at the same volume.
"Can't say that it isn't, but we need to be careful. "Maeny tribes ripliece lhmbs wit robbut puerts, maek Cyborgs."
You extend your emotional sense out to see if you could pick up any emotions. When you don't find anything you open your hivemind and hesitantly ping out.
There is silence for a second, and then your mind was assault with thousands of surprised chittering and clicks from other Changelings. You could sense they were surprised by your sudden intrusion, but you couldn't understand what their clicking meant, their Changeling language completely alien to you.

Stumble and immediately shut ourself off from the cacophony of nonsensical noise, rubbing a hoof against the side of our head as a few tears form in our eyes, a sensation that was once so familiar to us now feeling completely alien, especially since we couldn't understand them. Shrugging it off as best as we can for the moment, keep walking as confidently as we can, mostly being wrapped up in our own mind.
"Sorry, I've just got a migraine all of the sudden."
'... I really hope that doesn't come to bite us in the ass. Are there changelings still on this Equus(/whatever the planet's name is)? I couldn't have picked up on changelings all the way out in space, could I? Does that mean I really am the last changeling on my world?'

Did we have any sense of direction, location, or distance for the voices? Try and wrap our head around the language, was there any familiar structure to it? Might be that they adapted a code/dialect to avoid having others from tapping in to the hivemind and learning secrets.
>>
>>35560353
Tear up a little, interacting with our own kind for the first time in... Too long. And yet we can't understand them, leaving us incredibly sad.
Try communicate a few basic feelings to see if we can't get anything through the language barrier our sadness and happiness then regret and fear.

Not entirely sure reaching out to the hivemind is a great idea looking back (most likely just me being paranoid), given the fact that there seem to be a lot of them, rather than only a few or none like I expected (there's no actual quantity given), but I'm also a little surprised we haven't tried something similar earlier.
Seconded.

You stumble a bit from the sudden noise but right yourself and continue walking. You find yourself tearing up a little, interacting with your own kind for the first time in... a long time.
Yet, you couldn't understand them. A sensation that was once so familiar to you now feeling completely alien.
You try your version of the Changeling language to them, but they don't seem to react to it leading you to try the pony language, which doesn't work either. This leaves you to communicate your feelings starting with your sadness and happiness then to regret and fear. While the surprise remains several voices become confused and concerned, a couple of the concerned voices trying to reach you to you.
You cut it off before any could though, rubbing a hoof on the side of your head as a few tears form in your eyes, leaning against a confused Skip.
'...I really hope that doesn't come to bite us in the ass. Are there Changelings still on this Equus? I couldn't have picked up on Changelings all the way out in space, could I? Does that mean I really am the last Changeling on my world?'
"Sorry, I've just got a migraine all of the sudden." You lie.
Skip, sensing your sudden change in emotions and the dry tone of your voice, stops.
"Do we need to turn around?" He asks in concern.

What do you do?

No. I'll be ok. A little water would be good though.

"No, no. It's probably better if we don't anyway, since I'd probably just mope about and feel sorry for myself. Besides, we've all got questions, and if that Technomancer manages to get to the wreck long before we do, our trip with have been for nothing. We need to keep moving."
'Furthermore, I don't know if the changelings might try to track me down, and staying in one place could be risky if they do try.'

>>35560895
Seconded. You've got some interesting points, and I like the reasoning though it did seem they were trying to reach out to us.
Also might be an idea to keep why she doesn't want to run into changelings ambiguous, maybe because she fears for safety or maybe because she thinks she might break down.

Give Skip a quick kiss, then turn and nod our head at Sunny, to show we're ready to keep going.

>>35560949
Even if she wasn't worried about herself, or the fact that they are strangers, the main reason I was thinking she would be worried about them coming to find her is that they wouldn't understand that we've put a lot of effort into ensuring the safety of the Akigsker and our group, and either expose us or undo all our work, directly or indirectly.
Still, keeping it vague works, since there are likely many variables and unknowns to her fear.
Seconded.

He gives a small nod as you turn your head and nod to Sunny, to show her you were ready to keep going. She looks you over and then continues, the four of you following after Skip floats you some water.
'Furthermore, I don't know if the Changelings might try to track me down, and staying in one place could be risky if they do try.'
For the next several minutes the five of you continue through the city, not encountering anymore robots as the buildings start to slowly thin until you finally reach the edge of the city.
You are all greeted by a thin forest and a ground covered in leafless bushes that have been reduced to bushes of wood. What would probably be beautifully green in the summer was currently a depressing white and gray.
"Skai Angl Caragge nott foer nowwe," Sunny announces; approaching the thicket of branches, "Robbuts don liav setci offan, butt luuk fer robbuts und Skai Angls stehl."

You nod and follow Sunny into the brush, keeping your head on a swivel for any pieces of steel or broken trees and bushes, taking deep breaths through your snout while opening your emotional sense and slightly increasing your hearing.
You travel through the forest for a few minutes until your emotional sense suddenly flares up, something nearby in the woods becoming alert followed by a few more doing the same.
Just as you sense this Green suddenly stops and starts growling at something to the west.

What do you do?
>>
>>35561635
Whisper, mostly at Skip, but loud enough that the others can probably hear us.
"I think something knows we're here. A couple somethings at that."
Crouch low and slowly reach for our gun while we scan the forest to the west of us, holding a wing protectively over Skip's back, ready to move him into cover at the first sign of trouble.
If we can, continue to monitor whatever emotions we picked up on, trying to narrow down a direction to look at the very least.

Turn to the west pulling up our gun and leveling it at the foliage and plant matter.
Something is coming, it might be a whole lot of something's, prepare yourselves.

You whisper, mostly to Skip, but loud enough for the other to hear.
"I think something knows we're here. A couple things at that."
You crouch down low and turn to the west, leveling your gun at the foliage and plant matter. Skip and Lucius join your crouch, Skip getting his gun ready and Lucius advancing very slightly with sword ready. Sunny just raises her railgun and takes aim.
You place a wing protectively over Skip's back, ready to move him to cover at the first sign of trouble. He gives you a reassured smile before moving his focus back to the foliage.
For a minute a tense silence settles over the forest, and then...
"Freeze Natives!"
Eight ponies suddenly appear around you, surrounding the five of you in a circle, training on all of you a block shaped weapon with a vertical barrel instead of the usual round barrel on the front. The ponies were at least a head taller than both Lucius and Skip with a thinner build, with the Pegasi in the group having slightly smaller than normal wings. Three of them were Pegasi, another three were Unicorns, and the last two were Earth Ponies.
They were covered head to hoof in gray power armor that was strangely refined and simple, having a bit of a block-like design especially for the helmet, the armor was also finished with red highlights. On their helmets was a rectangular, green visor that went across the front of the helmet. For the Pegasi everything but the underside of their wings were covered.
The armor was then complete with a legband that went around the right foreleg showing the moon in the middle with the famous craters that were in the shape of Luna, the moon was white and placed on a blue vertical background. On either side of the blue background were a series of red and white stripes that changed with each other.

'Surrounded, outnumbered and outgunned. Not the first time, but Skip and Lucius are exposed, and I'd rather not find out how eight of these guys hold up against a dragon. Still, either prolonged potentially generational space habitation or a weird eugenics program have altered their physiology.'
Subtly look to Sunny for input, following her lead, as the experienced one around here. If she surrenders, so do we. If there is nothing to go on, begrudgingly lowering our gun enough that it's not pointed at anyone.
Try and identify the leader of the group based on who does the communicating, speaking plainly and openly in the hope that we'll throw them off by being distinctly not native.
"Is this strictly necessary? You've got us surrounded, not to mention outnumbered, outgunned, and outarmored, as well as whatever other tech you've got. Quite frankly, if you were to open fire, I figure you'd be more likely to hurt each other from how overkill this is."
Monitor all their emotions, making note of who seems the most twitchy, and watching for any sign that one of them is going to attack.

Did they appear suddenly because they were cloaked, or were they just that sneaky?

>>
>>35562662
Agreed on that. I doubt they're direct descendants, considering the lack of thestral features, but it may have been long enough that such features are very rare. Though, it's probably more likely that the spaceborn ponies are quite populous beyond thestrals, even if they are/were considered a subset of the Lunar Guard. It's also possible that the legbands are meant to represent their status as members of a society on the moon, and they just so happen to be security.

'Should have run... Dammit...'
You subtly look to Sunny for her input. She sees this and looks back at you, then looking at the armored ponies and sighing.
"D'oh et." She says quietly; lowering her gun down slightly.
You look at her for a few more seconds before lowering your gun, Skip doing the same while Lucius lowered his sword. Green doesn't relax though, shuffling over so that he was between you and Skip baring his teeth and growling lowly.
Once all of your weapons were lowered the ponies lower theirs. One of the Earth Ponies comes forward slightly with one Pegasus and one Unicorn.
"Is this strictly necessary? You've got us surrounded, not to mention outnumbered, outgunned, and outarmored, as well as whatever other tech you've got," You say, "And who are you exactly to make such a request of us while pointing your weapons at our faces? Why are you here?"
"...Looks like not everyone here are Natives," The Earth Pony remarks, "Equus Watch Commander Red Sun of the Lunar Concord. I am here because a Smuggler's ship attempted to breach the airspace of Equus and crash landed nearby yesterday, though the situation has now become a standoff. Also, to make sure the Natives don't try to scrap the ship when we're not looking."
He looks over to Sunny then marching over to you. As he does you sense everyone's emotions where you find that they were all either calm or bored, like this wasn't the first time they've done this.
Red Sun stops a few feet in front of you, looking you over.
"Definitely don't look like a Native," He confirms, "Are you a citizen of the Lunar Concord or the Ephor of Ares?"

"Neither, not that I expect you'll readily believe me. My name is Cereza, and we are a part of an 'experiment' being hosted by a mad AI, where we're forced to seek out interdimensional DOoRs or face explosive decapitation. We come from a different version of Equestria, suffering from the aftermath of a devistating plague, and having yet to colonize space. I could describe to you a history that never happened, or the dilapidated ruins of Canterlot that I grew up in, down to the details of the throne room, or even the horrors we've seen up to this point, but those are just words. However, we have a few pieces of evidence."
Gesture to our weapons.
"You'll find our firearms are not native to this world or our own."
Point to Green.
"We have Green, our Squig, also not native to either Equestria. Lastly, this is more of an assumption, but comparing ourselves, yourselves, and Sunny, clearly there's some sort of genetic drift between the three groups."
Silently hope and pray that he takes our words and logic at face value.

Really not sure about telling the truth, but we can't fight our way out, and he'll want answers regardless.

"Neither, not that I expect you'll readily believe me. Red stays silent for a minute, mulling this information over as he looks over all this evidence.
"...That is a hard story to believe," He admits, "Tell you what: I can take you over to my superior and have him evaluate the story. As for the Native."
He turns and moves over to Sunny slightly.
"She'll need to be searched and then escorted out of the sector, can't have Natives poking their noses in places they don't belong."
As he says this your emotional sense suddenly picks up a ninth pony a ways off. It's emotions were completely chaotic, changing every few seconds.
And it was coming this way very quickly.

"We'll be going now. Good luck- SWEET CELESTIA WHAT'S THAT?!"
You shout and point just as a robot suddenly bursts into the clearing. It stood at least two heads taller than you in your normal form and looked to be made from a amalgamation of different parts and sheets of metal, resulting in a very terrifying appearance with pieces of it's armor even sticking out at a few odd angles. On it's back were two large guns. From every opening in it's armor and joints was a green glow.
With their attention turned you Sunny and bolt, dragging her with you for a moment before she gets her legs working and starts running with you. Skip picks up Green and gallops in a different direction with Lucius from the two of you.
As you and Sunny run several massive lasers suddenly split the air, going off in random directions with enough energy to cut the trees in two.

As you gallop you use Sunny partially as cover from the erratic shooting of the Cyborg, simply for the fact that she had armor and would possibly survive a hit while you would probably cease to exist.
After fifteen seconds of galloping you end up with Skip and Lucius again, the lasers still flying through the air and cutting the trees down like a knife.

"Technomancer robbut," Sunny explains through breaths, "Crontole bie Technomancer!"

Look at each of the grinning sharply through clenched teeth.

Sunny just shrugs her wings, leading to you grinning through clenched teeth.
"Let's go take their prize while they're keeping themselves busy, I can't imagine it'd be good to let either of them get whatever it is."
You turn slightly so you were running towards the crashed ship, the four of them following you as you make your way to the ship.
You find the ship in a large clearing where it has crash landed. Strange metal boxes had been set up around the ship like it was a siege, though the boxes were now abandoned.
Using your emotional sense you could sense quite a few ponies inside the ship, most of them scared. There was one by the door that was instead confused.

"Survivors from the ship must've set up some defenses, but fled for some reason, possibly back into the ship. We need to tread carefully, these guys are possibly armed smugglers, and chances are they're very scared and trigger happy, probably expecting those other guys or worse to show up."
First chance we get, try and figure out who is by the door by peeking around cover, and determine how well armed they are, as well as the condition of the ship.
If they are confused and looking at the ship, they're probably the Technomancer, but if they're confused and looking away from the ship, they're probably part of the crew.

With Sunny you go over to one of the covers and peek out at who was by the door.
By the door looking out into the woods was a Earth Pony stallion with a jungle green coat and a jet black mane wearing pretty simple civilian clothing. In his hoof was an assault rifle with a sleek looking design that had no edges or corners, the body slipping down into the barrel.
After a moment of studying him and deciding that he was part of the crew, you step out of your hiding spot and wave at him while getting closer.
"Hey! You the lot that got shot do-"
*BANG*
The stallion jumps from his confusion and fires at you, the bullet whizzing past by an inch before hitting the ground in a small shower of dirt. After the shot the stallion does lower his gun slightly.
"Bloody 'ell, I almost shot 'ya," He complains; an accent coming out but distinctly different from Sunny's, "Do 'ya Natives not know how to greet someone properly?!"

'Right, don't randomly approach a jumpy and armed stranger out no where. I swear, all these near death experiences are fucking with my sense of self preservation or something.'
Give him a sheepish smile, shrugging off the fact that he just shot at us.
"Sorry about that, just ran from a group of Equus Watch headed this way when they were attacked by a Technomancer beast, so I forgot my manners. My name is Cereza, I don't have any allegiances to any standing factions, cause, well, it's complicated and crazy, but we've got a native here if you'd prefer to talk with her instead."
Gesture for Sunny to step out and introduce herself.

Is he taller like the Equus Watch group, or normal height?
Also, I kinda love the contrast between the parts that are like 'we need to handle this delicately,' and 'Hi there!' It feels like a D&D group in a comedic way.

You grind your teeth together for a moment trembling and shivering from our near death experience.
'Right, don't randomly approach a jumpy and armed stranger out of nowhere. I swear, all these near death experiences are fucking with my sense of self preservation or something.
"No, on account of being stuck on a planet full of killer robots. Seems like you don't know how to welcome a guest either though," You retort, "Just ran from a group of Equus Watch headed this way when they were attacked by a Technomancer robot. My name is Cereza, I don't have any allegiances to any standing factions, cause, well, it's complicated and crazy, but we've got a Native here if you'd prefer to talk with her instead."
You gesture for Sunny to step out and introduce herself. Skip and Lucius step out of the brush with Skip trotting over to stand next to you.
"Suhhy Medaow." She introduces herself.
"Tucson," The stallion introduces himself curtly, "And I've run into those Equus Watch fags before, think the Lunar Concord own the whole damn planet. You're welcome to come in if you want."
You take a moment to look over Tuscon. He was actually slightly taller than the Equus Watch ponies, but not as thin.
"You alright," Skip asks you; looking you over, "That bullet came close."

What do you do?
>>
>>35570397
As long as they don't shoot us again.

So where are you guys from?

The technomancer and the Concord aren't going to be at each others throats forever. Do you actually have a plan?

Head inside. See if you can feel the Concord/technomancers emotions and if they are still fighting.
>>
>>35570397
Let Skip go about his check up, pressing against him slightly to feel a little bit of comfort.
"I'm okay Skip, I think. Gonna need a lay down when we get back, if I didn't already, but I don't think we're done yet; regardless of how the fight between the cyborg and Equus Watch goes, at least one if them will survive, and both will likely have reinforcements."
Take a moment to settle our wings and brush our mane out of our eyes before looking at Tuscon/Tuscon.
"Tucson, forgive me for being frank, but as much as temporary shelter is appreciated right now, I kinda doubt this place is going to be very safe for much longer without some sort of plan and more than just one stallion on guard. Just, who do we talk to to help things along, cause I'd rather not sit in a ship and wait for trouble to find us."

>>35570641
This. We should be watching the emotions outside the ship, as well as inside the ship passively, if only so that we know the instant something starts to change.
>>

"That's why I'm trying to think of a plan." He replies; heading inside the ship.
The five of you stand there for a moment before following Tucson inside finding that you were currently in the front part of the ship with the cockpit, the other ponies were in the back in a different room.
"So where are you guys from?" You ask.
"All over the solar system," He smiles; sitting down in the pilot's chair, "I'm from Hermes, we've got Unicorns from Aphrodite, a few escape slaves from Ares, and even a Zebra and Griffon from Catamitus and Hades respectively."
"Do you actually have a plan?" You ask.
"...Possibly," He nods, "I have a bunch of explosives currently. I can hopefully make a ring with them and when either of them show up we'll either get another explosion or red mist."

What do you do?
>>
>>35571081
How strong she the explosives because it will either be power armor of a robot you're trying to blow up, you also don't have all that long. It'll just be until one of them finishes ripping the other to pieces. Honestly I'd recommend getting the lot of you out of here.
Why were you shot down anyway?
>>
>>35571081
"What type of explosives? Grenades, mines, breaching charges, anti tank? If we had time, I'd suggest planting some of the explosives in the ground near the entrance to be remotely detonated, but it would be very obvious if we did that now, assuming we had the time. Maybe affix the explosives to the back of some of the boxes outside, possibly in a small box, so that when they approach, they can be set off at a key moment."

"The ship is too small to have any type of turret, isn't it. Plus, trying to get this thing to fly again in a timely manner is also presumably out of the question. There's gotta be something more on this ship we can use to our advantage."
>>

"C8 explosives," He explains, "I can place them and detonate them from a safe distance with a detonator."

"The ship has turrets but they were broken by the crash."
"Honestly, I'd recommend getting the lot of you out of here." You tell him.
"And let the Equus Guard or the Technomancer scrap it? Fat fucking chance," He snaps, "Do you know how hard it is to get a working ship on Equus, or build one with Native help?"
"What were you guys even doing on Equus," You ask, "Why were you shot down anyway?"
"Equus Watch shot us down," He replies, "The Lunar Concord claims the entirety of Equus for themselves, you're not allowed to even get near Equus without their permission. Doesn't stop the other planets from setting up settlements but the Concord has a tight grip on the planet."
"What exactly are you smuggling?" Lucius asks.
"Ponies," Tucson shrugs, "Usually scientists, treasure hunters, or escaped slaves and criminals. And sometimes you get ponies that just want to get away from everything and start a new life with the Natives."

What do you do?

Sorry for disappearing. I was taking a break and then got distracted by the TV.

I'm not sure if we should spill the beans or not, but we're not technically Innocents ourselves. Any tips from Tocson can be helpful for the Akigsker.
>>35572452
That's... rather noble! We actually have a few refugees of our own that's settling in a nearby city. Have there ever been any abductions from Equus to another planet? Why are the Lunar Concord or Equus Watch against the natives on this planet?
>>
>>35572452
Smile a little at the thought.
"Hmm, a smuggler with a heart of gold then? Guess we got lucky with that then. It's best we hurry to get those explosives planted while we have the time. If we hold on to some, we could use them as grenades of sorts. How many entrances are there? We'll need to disperse the placement of the explosives between them for best coverage, though they will arrive from one direction at least, and may attempt to overwhelm that one. Also, I'm not sure if most of our firepower is exactly rated for power armor or robots."

>>35572555
Spill the beans about what in particular? We don't have to hide that we've taken lives in self defense before, and some part of the truth about our travels will come out at some point, though it's not necessarily a concern at the moment.
It would be good to introduce Tucson to the Akigsker, could help them later on, or just some more information about this place. We also need to set them up with the Natives, but Sunny is a start on that front.

>>35572481
Night, Pluto!
Don't worry about it.
>>
>>35572633
The Akigsker was what I was mostly referring to. I wasn't sure if it would be a good idea that we mention them to Tocson since we barely know him. (Could just be my social anxiety) I posted it anyway, but redacted the race.
"We're not Innocents" because we're technically now running from the law, and We seem to agree on helping someone with pony trafficking. Rogues stick together, after all, but I was still a bit conflicted on my post, and was allowing it to be in discussion.
>>
>>35572877
Smart to keep species out of the equation for now, it's hardly the time to bring up these types of issues, and we can discuss it with him when it becomes more relevant. Question is, should we reveal we're a changeling at some point, particularly if this turns into an extended fight? I have little doubt that Sunny will find given enough time and conflict, and the Akigsker must suspect something, even if they've never confronted us about it, and while Tucson seems decent enough at the moment, he's most likely to have met some and possibly formed an opinion of them.
Overall, I think it might be best kept as our ace in the hole, but I don't want us to hold out on using it and regret it.

Pretty sure, as much as the Lunar Concord might wish otherwise, their authority here means jack shit. They have fancy stuff, but not the numbers to properly secure it, and the fact that they look down upon the Natives as well as not having any settlements on the surface really does eat away at their claim.
So, I'd argue Equus itself is practically lawless, and they're fools if they believe otherwise.

Neutral on pony trafficking. Has bad implications, but I'm hoping the majority of his clients/cargo are willing in some fashion at least. I think your post is good though, drawing some parallels between him and ourself while letting him know a little.
>>

>>
>>35573089
Mentioning we're a changeling is a NO GO! unless we're in a dire situation that requires us to break form. While it's obvious that Tucson isn't racist, there's still animosity amongst planet dwellers, so there's still a chance that Changelings are considered an "evil race" (they have to eat somehow)

I do get a lot of parallels from "Outcasts" in this dimension really fun read, btw to say it's lawless would be correct... To have someone thinking they're enforcing order is interesting, it may also be that they're a tribe pretending to be police, and want what's in the ship themselves. (Could just be my anxiety creating conspiracies though)
Anyway, thanks for the feedback. I guess I just got a bit nervous since I haven't posted in a while. Writer's block is the best!
>>
>>35574342
>NO GO
Fair, and it's not something to bring up casually. Just as I said before though, we should still keep it in mind when shit hits the fan. Cereza is often dealing with life or death situations, and she's gotten lucky so far, but eventually we're going to have to stop relying on luck, or there are going to be bodies.

Been a while since I read Outcasts, so it didn't occur to me.
I doubt they're Natives dressed up in power armor, given that they are genetically different from Sunny, and their equipment is presumably too pristine and not cobbled together. Considering Occam's Razor, it's simpler for them to be telling the truth rather than lying and creating a ruse, especially when Tucson seemed so open to letting Natives aboard.

"That's... rather noble! A smuggler with a heart of gold. Guess we got lucky with that then. We actually have a few refugees of our own in a nearby city. Have there ever been any abductions from Equus to another planet?"
"None that I've heard of." Tucson shakes his head.
"Why are the Lunar Concord or Equus Watch against the Native on this planet?" You ask.
"Quick history lesson then," He says; sitting up a bit in his chair, "Luna was the first object in space that the Federation had colonized, and that was before the three races split off. After... what ever the fuck devo Equus the colonies suddenly had no central authority. Luna managed to organize themselves and claimed the ruins for themselves, on the grounds that they were the closest to the old Equestria physically and genetically. And whatever happened to Equus caused the Natives to get some genetic quirks so the Lunars look down on them a bit."
He then leans back on his chair.
"Personally, I think the Natives are okay. The only problem I have with them is that with the way Hermes ponies speak, it's hard for me to understand what the Natives are saying. No offense, luv."
"Nune tacken."
"Anyway, it's best we hurry to get those explosives planted while we have the time," You say; moving to a more important topic, "We'll need to disperse the placement of the explosives for best coverage, though they will arrive from one direction at least."
"Yeah," He nods; getting up, "History lesson over. Let me go get the charges from the back and we'll be off."
He trots to the door in the back and disappears through it. After a few seconds Skip attracts your attention to the door to see a tiny Pegasus foal poking his head out to look at all of you.

What do you do?
>>
>>35575523
Turn and face the foal, sensing his emotions cautiously as we try and give him a reassuring smile, a small sense of dread filling us at the possible implications of his appearance.
'Please tell me this is just someone's foal, and not a proper part of Tucson's haul, cause he doesn't look like a scientist or a treasure hunter, and that just leaves the possibility of foal labor or criminal, neither of which are very appealing to think about.'
"Hello, little one. Are you lost?"

You carefully wave at the foal.
"Hello, little one. Are you lost? It's dangerous out here so stay inside please."
The foal doesn't move and continues to look at the four of you. After a moment a Pegasus mare comes over and picks the foal up, she looks over and gives you an apologetic smile before turning to leave.
As she does you get a glimpse at her wings. At the tip of her wings where the feathers should end was instead a piece of metal that enclosed the tip of the wing, a burn scar going around her wing where the metal meets the wing.

Stare at her wound grimly.
'Must be a former slave or convict to have her wings clipped in such a manner.'
"Take care, and stay safe ma'am."
For now, push the thoughts and implications of her injury from our mind, and wait for Tucson to return. We have a fight to prepare for.

A minute goes by before Tucson returns carrying a small crate on his back. He sets it down on the floor and opens it up to reveal a bunch of rectangular plastic bricks that were about six inches in length and three inches in width, complete with a little antenna. Tucson takes one out to show the rest of you better.
"This is a C8 charge," He explains, "We should have enough to make a perimeter around the clearing, and enough to blow whoever wins the fight sky high."
He puts it back.
"I want everyone to take a couple and start placing them at the edge of the clearing. Make sure you press the little red button on the side of each of them, cause that arms the C8. Any questions?"

You and Skip quickly go about setting up the charges with you flying to save time, stopping every couple of trees to plant a charge, make sure it was secure, and then arm it. Also keeping an eye on Green as the last thing you needed was him to eat it.
"Skip? What are your thoughts on all this, we kind of got dragged into it so fast." You say to him.
"It's all pretty crazy," He breathes; placing a charge on a tree, "It's a lot of things to take in."
Green spends a minute watching the two of you before walking up to a tree and haphazardly throwing the charge onto it.

>Confused
Roll our eyes and activate the charge he placed. "I'm glad you're helping. Let's go get more, ok?"
>>
>>35577163
"I agree, things are crazy, as they usually are, but based on what little we've seen, I think we're making an okay choice in helping out, even if it wasn't mostly motivated by survival. Furthermore, interacting with the Lunar Concord would have more than likely made things a lot more difficult, in terms of reaching the DOoR at least. We would've had to have learned to fly a spaceship to escape them, which would have been cool, but risky. We might still get the chance, or we could pick up some technomancy stuff or so many other things."
Keep buzzing about, stopping to double check that Green's charge is armed before continuing to put down charges ourself.

"Sunny, Skip, get to cover! As soon as those explosives go off make a break for the trees. If the explosives don't do the trick then we need to get out of here."
They both nod and get into cover behind the metal crates. You get your rifle out and get into cover next to them as Lucius and Tucson slide next to you.
"There's no delay, right?" You ask Tucson with worry.
"No delay," He confirms; taking the detonator in hoof, "Get ready to cover your fucking ears!"
The thumping continues to get louder until it finally breaks through the trees and charges at the ship.
*KABOOM*
And then a ring of fire erupts around all of you as the charges go off, engulfing the cyborg in fire and smoke. It is enough to knock all of you to the ground, your ears ringing something fierce.

"Front left leg." He grunts.
You look over to his left foreleg where you find a good sized purplish bruise forming on his leg just above the hoof. Next to his leg on the ground was a piece of burnt branch, most likely having been thrown from the other side of the clearing from the explosions.
Green gets up and shakes himself off while Sunny stumbles her way over to look at the cyborg and Lucius rolls himself onto his belly.

"Not sure we're going to be dragging that thing very far in it's current state, or our own. Though, I guess you know what's worth taking and what isn't. Wait for it to cool down at least."
You lay down next to Skip and carefully wrap his injured leg over your shoulder. You then slowly stand up struggling slightly under his weight with your legs shaking slightly from the explosion.
"What are you going to do with it?" You ask her.
"Tac tribe," She explains, "Gatt litlt pert ferm et."
"Tucson, do you know anyone with proper medical knowledge," You ask, "Skip's gonna need some patching up, and some of us could probably use a small check up. I assume you're good over there, Lucius?"
"Yeah," He breathes; waving a hoof, "Just give me a minute."
"I think one of the Unicorns has medical experience." Tucson says.

Hmm... Thanks, do keep your guard up though no telling if there's anything else out there.
Nod our head and start taking Skip towards the ship, then pause in place for a moment as a thought strikes us now the excitement has passed. Look Skip in the eyes then at his horn.
Right, I forgot for a moment. Think you can use that healing spell on yourself? I'm not sure it'll be enough but it can't hurt, right?

You continue to the ship with him, setting him down on a chair once you were both inside. Tucson comes in a bit later and goes to the back, returning a minute later with a Unicorn in tow. The Unicorn was actually almost normal size, but was still slightly on the tall side.
"What's the problem?" The Unicorn asks.

What do you do?
>>
>>35589145
Skip has a nasty bruise on his left foreleg! I don't know if it's internal bleeding, or of anything else is damaged.
If it helps, the damage was caused by a burnt branch from the explosion.
>>
>>35589145
Having Skip lean against us for support, show them his foreleg, trying to be professional but still talking in a somewhat rushed fashion with worry evident in our voice.
"His foreleg took a heavy hit from a piece of flying debris. It swelled up and went purple very quickly, so I made a tourniquet just in case there was excessive internal bleeding or something. I doubt there's an actual break, but I couldn't exactly eliminate the possibility of a hairline fracture or something like that. You've probably got a fair bit more medical knowledge though, so, just, take a look."

The Unicorn approaches his leg and studies it, lighting his horn up to take his leg in a magical glow.
"...No fracture, no bleeding," He notes, "Capillaries are damaged quite a bit which is causing the bruising."
He concentrates for a moment and you watch as the bruise slowly goes down to almost half it's size and then it disappears completely.
"There," He nods, "All better. You'll still have a limp for a few day, but you shouldn't need support to walk."
"Awesome," Skip sighs; smiling at his healed leg, "Wish I knew a healing spell that powerful."

The doctor does give you a watch before you head outside and start heading in the direction of the robot with feelings. You light up your cigarette and make sure you were well away from the ship before becoming a Hippogriff and taking to the sky, flying quickly.
It doesn't take you long to find them with your emotional sense though it absolutely wasn't a pretty scene.
The area where the fight took place could barely be recognized as forest anymore, the trees being reduced to stumps and the naked bushes trampled into the ground. Two of the Watch were still alive but currently unconscious while the rest were now dead. One of them was even cut in half by the laser, their guts now spilled out behind them.

What do you do?
>>
>>35599266
Keep the eviscerated one out of our line of sight.
Double check that all 8 are accounted for, as well as who is still alive and their injuries, using emotion sense to make sure no one else is waiting in hiding and that those two are truly unconscious before flying low and close to them.
'Alright, how do I do this? Not sure I've got the time to transport both of them back as well as take their equipment, but I might be able to fit a gun in my bag. Not gonna be able to carry them in their power armor. I doubt the Equus Watch is the type to negotiate with Natives and stuff, but should I really just leave these two here to freeze to death? Plus, if I land, I'll leave some tracks, though the storm has that covered at least.'
If we have any strips of the bedsheets left, particularly ones that would stand out against the snow, tie one around a nearby tree, so we have a better chance of finding this place again tomorrow.
>>
>>35599266
Shiver violently as horrible memories start to bubble up from the deep dark pit we keep then in, turning our head away from the more eviscerated bodies take a deep drag on our cigarette and land in the warzone.
Look around and grab a couple of their guns and as much ammo is they have left, making sure the remaining two alive especially don't have any firepower left that's too destructive, taking any explosives and triggers at the same time just in case if we find any.
'They're in power armor, they should be fine during the storm. ...Unless another one of those things come through.'
Try to drag them into some cover under a tree or something then check how much time we have left on the watch.

Not gonna be able to carry them in their power armor. They should be fine during the storm... unless another one of those things comes through.'
You drag the two of them into cover behind a large stump and start going over the weapons, going around a picking a few of them up. Strangely, you couldn't find any ammo to go with the guns nor any place where the ammo would go on the guns.
You look down at your borrowed watch. You had twenty minutes left and the first snowflakes were starting to fall.

'Energy weapons, maybe? Maintenance must be a bitch. Tucson will know what to do with them. At the very least, I can disarm these two, and make a profit selling the parts.'
Take a closer look at the broken leg. If there is no bone exposed, and we're confident that it's damaged at the joint, we could try bending it the right way. The problem with that is it would be difficult to judge or maybe even fix with the power armor in the way, and we probably can't remove the armor without hurting them.
How much of them is not covered by the armor, if any? I think their heads were exposed in some fashion, as well as the underside of their wings, so we should make sure any wings are tucked in, and check the (presumed) seem along their necks with a hoof/claw to be sure their armor is heated.

Thought of digging a small hole beside the stump to help keep them out of the elements more, but with the snow, that just risks them getting buried.
>>
>>35599652
'Are they lasers too? If they're the ones that cut some of these trees down then they'd be very useful.'
Spend a bit more time looking over the guns, looking for a slot of cable that might charge it that's consistent in all the guns.
If we don't find much.
'The ponies on the ship will probably know more, I'll ask them about it later.'
If we do find something then if it's not built-in start looking for a matching plug or something on the group.
Test one of the guns by firing it into a tree.
Once we've gathered up as many of the guns that don't look damaged that can fit in our pack taking out any cloth to save room and covering one of the more fortunate survivors in it grab the one with the lame leg and with a little tweak to our size and strength start to fly him back or try to at least.
>>
>>35599775
Seconded.
If we find a way to remove the armor (likely something on the back of the neck, though there would likely be security systems in place), we may be able to fly both of them back at once, though clearly the injured on takes priority. Though, it seems to have taken slightly under 10 minutes to go one way, so we'll be flying though the storm if we try to take them both one at a time, though maybe we can navigate our way back faster.

'Energy weapon, maybe? Maintenance must be a bitch.'
You spend a little more time looking at the guns, finding a little switch on the bottom of the magazine.
'The ponies on the ship will probably know more, I'll ask them about it later.'
You take the gun and fire it at a still standing tree.
*pew*
A red laser fires from the gun and hits the tree creating a small burnt mark at the impact site.
You return to the two Watch and take a look at the one with the broken leg, who was a Pegasus. With the armor on you couldn't see if bones have broken through the skin, though you could see that it had been broken at the bone instead of a joint. The armor covered everything except for the bottom of the Pegasus' wing.
You turn the Pegasus over to find a small button on the neck of the armor, which you press down on with a hoof.
"Voice code required." The suit beeps.
Looks like you wouldn't be opening it.
You gather up three more undamaged guns, taking out a piece of cloth and covering the more fortunate survivor in it. You then grab the one with the lame leg and, with a tweak to your size and strength, start to try and fly him back.
You manage to get him off the ground, but with the armor on the Pegasus was heavy. You could still carry him back with it, but you would probably be tired and sore by the end of it.

Try turning into Red Sun and press button on the back of the armor.
"This is Equus Watch Commander Red Sun of the Lunar Concord, and I command you to open."
Assuming that doesn't work, sigh before turning back into a large hippogriff and carrying him back to the ship as fast as we can.

We never heard the pegasus talk, so I assume we can't talk with his voice, otherwise I would've suggested that. If it's looking for a password as well, my best guess would be 'password', but idk.

Think back a bit setting the heavy load down again, then start transforming our voicebox little by little testing it's gruffness with quick words we've heard him say, working our way to making it the closest approximation of the rude Luna-tic who seemed to be in charge of things then activate the switch on the back of his neck again then speak with our new voice.
"Open up dammit! Medical emergency, we need to wake him up and get him moving!"
If that doesn't work just sigh and resign ourselves to flying the lump of metal with the Pegasus.

Probably will be busy for a little while.

There is a click before the suit suddenly starts folding out on itself, the suit coming apart and then folding into a little thin box until all that remained of the suit was a piece of flat material almost like a carpet with the four corners containing little indents on where the hooves should go.

Now theyre going to freeze to death. Is there anywhere nearby we could stow them? Like an abandoned hotel or something?

Stand there for a second, a little surprised that that worked, quickly turning back into a Hippogriff and trying to pick him up, seeing how his weight compares now.
'Well, there's no way I'm leaving you here like this now, there's nothing around here except the ship. Not sure how Tucson's gonna feel about you though, but some power armor might help his mood if necessary. Really hope he can make use of a hostage, or at least values a person's life more than revenge right now.'
Fly low and fast back to the ship.

We're deep in a forest with a time limit, so the ship really is the only option.

Stopping for the night.
Have a good night or day!

Why the heck do you think the ship people would even let them on? They tried to kill them! And almost succeeded!

Night, Pluto!

A bargaining chip on the Lunar Concord? Information? The hope that they will rise above their attackers in their pursuit of new, better lives? Sell him into slavery under one of the Native tribes? The worst I can see Tucson doing is putting a bullet in his brain to put him out of his misery, and at the very least, that confirms one less Equus Watch coming after them later, though they'd likely come down even harder for it. That said, there are no realistic alternatives for the pegasus right now, and while I know I shouldn't place too much faith Tucson or the others for this, I'm assuming that we're effectively out of time to search or do anything else, and that enough of them will be pragmatic enough/persuaded to see killing him does very little to help them compared to having him alive.
Besides, it's Tucson's ship, and if he allows for senseless slaughter on his ship, I'm not sure we should associate with him.

Night.

Besides not making it on time, or he's still too heavy, there isn't much he can do to harm us. He's has no gun, and is defenceless with no captain to give orders, no armor or weapons. If we take him, we'll have to tell him what happened to his crew, which will be the thing that he'll take the hardest out of the situation. Personally, I do agree that we should leave him, but at the same time, someone needs to report what happened to his crew and this might put a positive outlook on natives, though admittingly that last part is a bit of a stretch.

Something about Tucson does rub me the wrong way, but I don't think we should jump to "senseless slaughter is not trustworthy". Tucson is useful, and if we have to, we can wrangle him up, and hold him hostage. Either way, I don't see Tucson shooting someone simply because they belong to a faction he doesn't like... Actually we were about to blow them up if they survived the robot, so... Maybe you're right, but at the same time, this is someone completely defenseless... I guess it depends on the pegasus' personally then.

I should've been more clear with that last line, but I had rambled enough. Obviously how we handle and react to whatever Tucson does should be more nuanced than what I suggested, but he's still the captain of the ship and should act like it. He's behaved relatively levelheadedly, and I have hope that the crew will be better than we first sensed at least, otherwise there could be trouble. By senseless slaughter, I meant something akin to a witch trial, driven by fear, stress, and anger, with Tucson standing idly by or leading the charge or something. I don't see him doing that, or killing someone in cold blood, but it's worst case scenario stuff.

As much as I'm against us going to search for shelter where there more than likely is none, I think I legitimately would prefer it if the storm wasn't so imminent and it didn't feel like it would be such an ass pull. I feel that keeping both of them safe from the elements and the ship would be decidedly more neutral. At the same time, helping foster friendships for ourself and the Akigsker would be good.

I'm tired, I probably shouldn't be thinking/talking about this stuff right now, cause I don't think I'm making sense.

'The power armor is probably much easier to transport now, it'll still weigh the same though...'
Look between the hoof imprints in the sheet of metal and the unconscious orange Pegasus and grin sharply. With another flick of magic turn into a duplicate of the stallion dropping our bag down beside us and step into the imprints.
'If this works and it can fly I may have a brand new favorite thing.'

That's clever, but it also seems a little risky, using tech we have very little understanding of. The Lunar Concord pegasi wings were described as being slightly smaller than a normal pegasus's wings, so whether that's proportional or not, that form doesn't seem greatly advantageous for flight unless the suit augments it. Additionally, let's assume the armor doesn't have changeling countermeasures (we got it off as Red Sun, so it probably doesn't), or require a password from the normal user to get off or simply use following an override like we did, that still leaves us with the fact that the suit leg was bent completely the wrong way. Maybe I'm just overthinking this.

Also, I understand the real logic of the armor weighing the same, but magic exists, so it's not unreasonable to think that maybe it's somehow lighter when shrunk down, for transporting.

I see your worries, but I think Tucson would be the only one with a grudge since the others most likely to never heard of the Lunar Concord or dealt with the Equus Watch since they're people from all over the galexy. Even so, this Pegasus is just a grunt. Red is dead, so I doubt there would be extremes like what your suggesting.
The storm was there so we could talk about this stuff and make a moral desision. I was one to suggest we don't go out, so I think the bodies are a lost cause in my opinion. We could dig a hole as a diamond dog to make a makeshift igloo, there are too many dangers in regards to the weather and getting revealed. We don't really know how the weather reacts since no one is controlling it. Sunny said it was starting to become spring, so the weather can spike to melt the snow immediately after the snowstorm, and we'll be dealing with drowned bodies if they can't dig themselves out, so the ship is the safest option, and we can only save one, unless we turn into a minotour, but that'll raise some eyebrows.

Though we would get bonus points by the foal, thinking we're some sort of super hero!
