i know people adjust the proportions by typically extending the waist, thighs and sometimes ankles when they want to make the kit taller, but my question is what are good spots if you want to do the opposite and make the kit shorter without making the proportions feel weird? Same places?

Is Alclad II Chrome lacquer or enamel? My local hobby store says it needs to be sprayed over Alclad black base but any glossy black base will do right? Does it need to be thinned?

Seam welding will also be needed on the forearms and the calves. Nothing too awful there as the surfaces are not crazy designs. You could even get away with potentially just mixing leftover runner with some plastic cement and sanding if you really wanted to be lazy. Joints also look pretty limited but I haven't built the Dreadnought so I can't say for sure how hard it would be to fix those. Sometimes it's pretty simple to extend things or add in things like replacement joints but that is very kit dependent.

Something like Sinanju-style high energy blade would be nice, but the problem is that the only kit that comes with a pink version of it is the mg Zaku slash warrior. In cases like that you wouldn't necessarily have to care about color matching parts to the suit.Only issue maybe would be how many holes there are and generally 30mm kits are on the smaller side. But that depends on what one would try to do with it.

Particularly the Alex 2.0 which got a 114 on Dalong, compared to the Mk II 2.0's 98. Those older MGs just don't have the color separation, joint strength, and articulation that modern MGs have, although the Mk II 2.0 is definitely not bad per se.

What colors are considered "must have" for airbrushing (lacquer, Gaianotes)?
