I thought that was interesting. The ending is dissatisfying in that his engagement to Cagalli is apparently cancelled. :(

The first half of SEED was kino because it introduced some new ideas into gundam. I liked the dynamic between kira and arthrun and they showed flay having sex which was based. Also the genetics thing had the potential to take gundam in a new direction. But then the second half of SEED and all of Destiny just rehashed the old gundam formula and wasn't even interesting because kira is basically invincible.
