Judau and his comedy crew clutching out victories against Neo Zeon just makes it look even worse.
Never understood why ZZ gets picked out of the original trilogy of shows in the first place. 0079, Zeta and ZZ just make a ton of sense back to back and compliment each other.>0079 is pretty simple: Feds vs Zeon. Obviously, you have more going on within these factions but it's more or less a war with 2 participants>Zeta expands. Main threat comes from Federation in terms of Titans. AEUG resists the Titans, remnants of Zeon crop up again, and Titans eventually split a bit under different leaders. More complex factions and motivations>ZZ follows it to the logical conclusion. Federation is spent. Titans are done. Zeon threat rises because they were the only faction at the end of Zeta that didn't lose a ton. They build back into power, but suffer because different people try to fill in that power gap within the Zeon groupsIt just works>aieeeeeeee but its too lighthearted for a bit!Fun fact: not everyone that participates in a war is fucking Sergeant Steel "Professional" Rambo. It's entirely reasonable, without shitting yourself, to accept that in some backwoods colony you'd have military that is unprofessional and untrained at the start of ZZ (where basically all the "whacky" stuff happens)
